Training is very popular today, more and more people are becoming aware of the positive effects of training. Based on my own and others experiences, many will get started with the training but lose the motivation to continue after a while when they do not see results. If you can’t afford a personal trainer, it's hard knowing how to develop your training. There is no inspiration, instructions and information for muscle building exercises in the gym. The purpose of my master thesis is to create a design proposal, a fictional attachment to Friskis&Svettis magazine. The attachment will present inspiration, instructions and illustrations of new exercises for muscle building, thus promoting people's motivation for continued training. Through theories of visual rhetoric, serial storytelling, visual communication and qualitative interviews, as well as user tests, I have studied how informative designs are best applied to the needs of the target group and Friskis&Svettis graphic profile. Finally, the result was a design proposal on an attachment for Friskis&Svettis magazine. The attachment refers to those who are interested in muscle building exercises and looking for new inspiration.
