Previous issue date: 2009-10-30 / This study deals with the perceptions of the teachers of the public school in the city of Aracoiaba in the state of Ceará, on the health promotional actions and healthy environments. Emphasis is given to the fields of the Health Promotion's performance presented in the letter of Ottawa: elaboration and implementation of healthy public politics, creation of the environment favorable to the health, reinforcement of the action communitarian, development of individual abilities, and reorientation of the systems and services of health. It is focused the relevance of the determinative generalities on the health conditions. It is based on the understanding that health is a product of one ample specter of factors related to quality of life, including adjusted standard of feeding, nutrition, habitation and sanitation; good conditions of work, opportunities of education during all the life, adjusted physical environment, social support for families and individuals, responsible life style and others cares related to the health. It is emphasized the introduction of the Health Promotion in the activities and educative actions. Some habits, attitudes and the organization of the school's actions don't allowed enough participation of the students, limiting them to fulfill only the indicated prescriptions. It is a case study carried out in the public school of the city of Aracoiaba, during April 2009 with participation of 26 teachers of the basic education. To collect data it was used the technique of group interview. To analyze the data it was used the Content Analysis, by Laurence Bardin. The results demonstrate that the perception of the interviewed teachers in relation to the health promotional actions and healthy environments is restricted to focal experiences. It is necessary to think more about how teachers can talk about health in the school environment. It is not intended to move away from the teacher's functions, but incorporate attitudes and practical's that promote health in the school environment. It's concluded that the health promotional actions can be materialized in different political organizations, over all in the social places where people use live. These actions are proposed to be developed in the cities, work environments and schools. The school happens to be an excellent place to try to develop autonomy, critical participation and creativity in order to promote health and conquer healthy educational environments. / Trata das percepções dos professores da escola pública no Município de Aracoiaba - CE sobre as ações promotoras de saúde e ambientes saudáveis. Destacam-se os campos de atuação da Promoção da Saúde apresentados na Carta de Ottawa: elaboração e implementação de políticas públicas saudáveis; criação de ambientes favoráveis à saúde; fortalecimento da ação comunitária; desenvolvimento de habilidades individuais e reorientação dos sistemas e serviços de saúde. Enfoca-se a relevância dos determinantes gerais sobre as condições de saúde. Sua base é o entendimento de que a saúde é produto de um amplo espectro de fatores relacionados à qualidade de vida, incluindo padrão adequado de alimentação, nutrição, habitação e saneamento; boas condições de trabalho; oportunidades de educação ao longo de toda a vida; ambiente físico adequado; apoio social para famílias e indivíduos; estilo de vida responsável e outros cuidados de saúde. Ressalta-se a introdução da Promoção da Saúde nas atividades e ações educativas. O exercício de alguns hábitos e atitudes, entretanto, assim como a organização de ações sobre temas específicos, sobrepõe-se ao currículo escolar e não permite maior participação dos alunos, que se limitam a cumprir pontualmente as prescrições indicadas. Trata-se de um estudo de caso realizado em escola pública de Aracoiaba, no mês de abril de 2009, com a participação de 26 professores do ensino fundamental. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se a técnica de entrevista grupal. Para analisar os dados, fez-se uso da análise de conteúdo de Laurence Bardin. Os resultados demonstram que a percepção dos professores entrevistados em relação a ações promotoras de saúde e ambientes saudáveis se restringe a experiências focais. Portanto, fez-se necessária uma reflexão sobre como os professores trabalham a saúde como temática no ambiente escolar, assim como a articulação entre a educação para a saúde e a programação do conjunto das matérias escolares. Não se pretende afastar as funções dos professores e dos profissionais da saúde, mas incorporar no âmbito escolar atitudes e práticas que valorizem a promoção da saúde de forma crítica. Conclui-se com a pesquisa que as ações de promoção da saúde se concretizam em diversos espaços e órgãos definidores de políticas, sobretudo nos espaços sociais onde vivem as pessoas. As cidades, os ambientes de trabalho e as escolas são os locais onde essas ações são propostas. As escolas aparecem, então, como excelente cenário de caráter formal, em que é possível ensejar autonomia, participação crítica e criatividade para a promoção da saúde e a conquista de espaços educacionais saudáveis.
