Previous issue date: 2010-12-29 / The schools had passed to be seen as potential environments for health promotion and health education, longing to improve and to protect the health of the school community. The role of the teacher is of facilitator, developing a wide variety of education strategies and situations of learning. To take the proposal of the promotion of the health demands of the speech-language and hearing sciences the construction of educative processes in health that help the expression of the contextual, social, subjective and cultural aspects that influences the perceptions concerning the healthcare. The traditional informative lectures and expository lessons leave gaps in this direction, opening space for the search of other strategies/resources for the health education, where the dialogue is the mediating element in an health educative process that
value the exchange of knowledge, that is, a shared construction of knowledge. This research had the objective to investigate the applicability of educative actions in speech-language and hearing sciences directed the promotion of the healthful communication in the school environment. The present study approach is qualitative, action research, carried through in one school of the private network of education, in the city of Teresina in the State of the Piauí, the month of October of 2010, with the participation of teachers of the infantile education and basic education. The data collection was performed using group interviews along with educative speech-language and hearing workshops. The program of educative activities was developed based in the human communication, divided in topics to generate debate: 1) Voice; 2) Orofacial myology; 3) Oral and written language; 4) Hearing. For the organization and analysis of the data, was used the thematic analysis defended by Bardin (2008), that has for purpose the objective descriptions, systematic and qualitative of the content of the communication. The educative speech-language and hearing actions had provided the teachers knowledge about practices and related attitudes of care to their health, as well as in relation to
the health of the pupils, contributing for the healthful promotion and development of all those inserted in the school-educational environment. The systematic application, of educative activities, aiming at the promotion of healthcare with focus on human communication, reached results of significant relevance for the change of behaviors of the group in question. Without a doubt, the constant presence of the researcher in the weekly meeting, and the type of methodology used for the appropriation of knowing, had constituted a unique condition for the reach of the considered objectives. We conclude that, for the retention of the information obtained is necessary that this knowledge is experienced, internalized and incorporated into the educational practices of teachers, encouraging and redeeming constantly need to conduct interdisciplinary work in school. / As escolas passaram a ser vistas como potenciais ambientes para a promoção da saúde e a
educação em saúde, com vistas a melhorar e proteger a saúde da comunidade escolar. Nesse
contexto, o professor tem a função de facilitador, desenvolvendo estratégias de ensino e
situações de aprendizagem. Assumir a proposta da promoção da saúde na escola exige da
fonoaudiologia a construção de processos educativos que propiciem a expressão dos aspectos contextuais, sociais, subjetivos e culturais que influenciam as percepções acerca do cuidado em saúde. As tradicionais palestras informativas e aulas expositivas deixam lacunas nesse sentido, abrindo espaço para a busca de outras estratégias/recursos, sendo o diálogo o elemento mediador em um processo educativo em saúde que preze a troca de saberes, ou seja, uma construção compartilhada de conhecimentos. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar a efetividade de ações educativas em fonoaudiologia direcionadas à promoção da comunicação saudável no ambiente escolar. O estudo tem abordagem qualitativa, do tipo pesquisa-ação, sendo realizado em uma escola da rede particular de ensino, na cidade de Teresina, no Estado do Piauí, no mês de outubro de 2010, com a participação de professoras de educação infantil e ensino fundamental I. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se a técnica de entrevista grupal, além de oficinas fonoaudiológicas educativas. O programa de atividades educativas foi desenvolvido a partir de uma temática norteadora focada na comunicação humana e dividida nos subtemas geradores da discussão: 1) Voz; 2) Motricidade Orofacial; 3) Linguagem Oral e Escrita; 4) Audição. Para a organização e análise dos dados, foi utilizada a análise temática defendida por Bardin (2008), que tem por finalidade as descrições objetivas,
sistemáticas e qualitativas do conteúdo manifesto da comunicação. Os resultados demonstram que as ações fonoaudiológicas educativas proporcionaram aos professores conhecimentos em relação às práticas e atitudes de cuidado ligadas à sua saúde, como também à saúde dos alunos, contribuindo para a promoção e desenvolvimento saudável de todos aqueles inseridos no ambiente escolar-educacional. A aplicação sistemática de atividades de cunho educativo, com vistas à promoção do cuidado em saúde, com enfoque na comunicação humana, alcançou resultados de significativa relevância para efetivação da mudança de comportamentos do grupo em questão. Indubitavelmente, a constante presença da pesquisadora nos encontros semanais e o tipo de metodologia utilizado para a apropriação dos saberes constituíram condição ímpar para o alcance dos objetivos propostos. Conclui-se que, para a retenção das informações obtidas, é preciso que esses conhecimentos sejam vivenciados, internalizados e incorporados à prática educacional dos professores, incentivando e resgatando, constantemente, a necessidade de se realizar um trabalho interdisciplinar na escola.
