Previous issue date: 2016-03-11 / This paper refers to a master's research which approached the heritage analysis as a cultural representation, a symbolic construction that evoke collective and social memories to assert peoples identities, a study of critical matrix analyzing the dispute among social classes throughout history. To accomplish this, there was a bibliographical research on cultural heritage and memory in which there was a reflection on the significant concept in context of heritage and disputes memories, observed as conflicts and social struggles. Continuing the theoretical study, an approach to a territory was carried out, touching upon the social, cultural and economy of the site, noting the evidence of history - memory of that space, redefining the concept of dispute memories and consequently the lack of recognition of certain groups in heritage goods. In this axis of the research, a document analysis was carried out about the cultural heritage of the territory under study, in a reflection aligned to nationwide documents and the subject under observation. As a condition to elucidate possibilities of overcoming this situation, a research approaches a concept of heritage education and while documentary study approaches the proposed curriculum EJA history mode of São Bernardo do Campo - SP, observing the limits and the possibilities of history study in the perspective of individual and collective memory. In this context, the study aims to analyze the organizational disputes and treatment of collective memories in a territory through the analysis of cultural heritage, observing the forces of power, moreover, it proposes a reflection on Heritage Education, as the possibility of resistance to hegemonic forces of group´s memory statement, in the perspective of provoking thought for fights and affirmation of collective identities / O presente trabalho se refere a uma pesquisa de mestrado que abordou a análise de patrimônio como representação cultural, uma construção simbólica de evocação de memórias coletivas e sociais para afirmação de identidades de povos, num estudo de matriz crítica, analisando as disputas de classes na interlocução da história. Para isso houve uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre patrimônio cultural e memória em que ocorreu uma reflexão sobre o conceito significativo e contextualizado de patrimônio e as disputas de memórias, observadas como conflitos e embates sociais. Em continuidade ao estudo teórico, foi realizada uma aproximação a um território, com uma abordagem social, cultural e econômica do local, observando as evidências da história -memória desse espaço, resignificando o conceito de disputas de memórias e como consequência a ausência de reconhecimento de determinados grupos em bens tombados. Nesse eixo da pesquisa houve análise documental sobre os patrimônios culturais do território em estudo, numa reflexão alinhada aos documentos de abrangência nacional e com a temática em observação. Como condição de elucidar possibilidades de superação dessa situação, a pesquisa aborda um conceito de Educação Patrimonial e enquanto estudo documental se aproxima da proposta curricular de história da modalidade EJA de São Bernardo do Campo -SP, observando os limites e as possibilidades do estudo de história na perspectiva da memória individual e coletiva. Com essa contextualização o estudo objetiva analisar as disputas de organização e tratamento das memórias coletivas num território, por meio da análise dos patrimônios culturais, observando as forças de poder, além disso, propõe uma reflexão sobre Educação Patrimonial, como possibilidade de resistências às forças hegemônicas de afirmação de memória de grupos, numa perspectiva de provocar reflexão para lutas e afirmação de identidades coletivas
