Previous issue date: 2017-12-12 / Esta pesquisa se propõe a adentrar neste duplo universo: o aspecto
mágico/religioso dos saberes das benzedeiras e o papel da palavra enquanto
elemento de cura. Esse conhecimento híbrido, do qual somente estas são
conhecedoras, se faz presente e se performatiza no instante, em que visível e
invisível irão compor as palavras das benzedeiras, que modificam, transformam e
atualizam seus saberes de cura como forma de resistência. A partir das orações
pronunciadas nos rituais de cura, elas performatizam a palavra, a voz, as
narrações e memórias. O objetivo da pesquisa é alcançarmos essa fonte de saber
existente na oralidade, a benzeção, desvendando esse saber, pois mais do que o
significado literal, as palavras têm o poder de curar bem como de ser um saber
transmitido em contextos em que a poética da voz se faz presente. É através da
análise teórica dos textos, da etnobiografia e observação participante que
buscamos nos aproximar do campo de atuação das benzedeiras nas cidades de
Natal, Parnamirim e Mossoró RN. Observou-se que esse saber, ao contrário do
que se imagina, tem se atualizado enquanto sobrevivência de um poder de cura e
de saberes que se perpetuam pelo tempo nas mãos e performances de mulheres
que o executam ao longo dos anos como um ofício. / This research proposes to enter into this double universe: the magical / religious
aspect of the knowledge of the benzedeiras and the role of the word as an element
of healing. This hybrid knowledge, of which only these are knowledgeable, is
present and performative in the instant, in which visible and invisible will compose
the words of the healers, who modify, transform and update their knowledge of
healing as a form of resistance. From the prayers pronounced in the healing
rituals, they performatize the word, the voice, the narrations and memories. The
goal is to reach this source of knowledge existing in orality, the blessing, unveiling
this knowledge, because more than the literal meaning, words have the power to
heal, without the need to have a defined function, as well as being a knowing
transmitted in contexts in which the poetics of the voice is present. It is through the
theoretical analysis of texts, ethnobiography and participant observation that we
seek to approach the field of action of the healers in the cities of Natal, Parnamirim
and Mossoró RN. It was observed that this knowledge, contrary to what one
imagines, has been updated as a survival of a healing power and of knowledge
that is perpetuated by time in the hands and performances of women who perform
it over the years as an office.
