Previous issue date: 2013 / Com o advento dos conceitos de geodiversidade, patrimônio geológico e geoconservação a partir dos anos 1990 e a projeção que os mesmos alcançaram em todo mundo, muitas iniciativas foram surgindo no Brasil envolvendo a caracterização e o inventário da geodiversidade e do patrimônio geológico afeto a ela e a identificação e/ou sugestão de medidas de geoconservação, a exemplo do geoturismo e dos geoparques. No conjunto, tais ações visam intermediar a conservação com os diferentes usos possíveis para a geodiversidade e para o patrimônio geológico. Em defesa a estas iniciativas um caminho utilizado é justificar o patrimônio geológico e a geoconservação como fatores de desenvolvimento de determinado local. Neste sentido, o objetivo neste trabalho é analisar a incorporação e implicações do patrimônio geológico no desenvolvimento de um território específico, o Município de Tibagi, localizado na região dos Campos Gerais do Paraná. Em Tibagi é possível identificar grande parte dos elementos expressivos da geodiversidade regional, como o Canyon do Guartelá, os fósseis devonianos da Formação Ponta Grossa, o diamante e aqueles relacionados à água (ex.: rio Tibagi, salto Santa Rosa), os quais projetam o município no campo científico e educacional para as Geociências e no setor turístico para áreas naturais. A análise aqui proposta foi realizada tendo em conta os usos potenciais e efetivos do patrimônio geológico, adaptando-o à tipologia de recursos e ativos, ambos qualificados como genéricos ou específicos. O conjunto de dados analisados foi obtido a partir da pesquisa documental, bibliográfica e in loco. Foi feita uma sistematização do patrimônio geológico local e a identificação dos diferentes aproveitamentos diretos e indiretos que estes elementos têm (e podem ter) nos principais eixos de desenvolvimento do município. O setor turístico é o que mais se destaca na incorporação do patrimônio geológico, principalmente nos segmentos de esportes de aventura, ecoturismo e geoturismo e na cadeia de serviços e produtos relacionada a este setor. Na área de meio ambiente as implicações são dadas pela geoconservação, representada por ações dentro do programa de reciclagem do município e na existência das unidades de conservação de âmbito estadual. De forma não tão explícita, mas com contribuições potencias, figuram os programas na área da tecnologia, aplicados também na educação, esta última área identificada como uma das que possuem relacionamento com o patrimônio geológico ainda incipiente. Na agropecuária, principal setor econômico do município, a relação se estabelece a partir da pluriatividade no meio rural. <br> / Abstract : With the advent of the geodiversity, geological heritage and geoconservation concepts since the 1990s and their consequent worldwide projection, many initiatives have emerged in Brazil involving the characterization and inventory of geodiversity and linked geological heritage, beside the identification and/or suggestion of geoconservation actions, such geotourism and the implementation of geoparks. These actions aim to mediate conservation efforts with the different possible uses for the geodiversity and geological heritage, where justifying geological heritage and geoconservation as local development factors is one of the alternatives adopted. Thus, the objective of the current study is to analyze the geological heritage incorporation and its implications in the development of a specific territory, namely the Muncipality of Tibagi, located in the Campos Gerais region of the State of Paraná, southern Brazil. In Tibagi is possible to identify many of the remarkable elements of regional geodiversity, as Guartelá Canyon, Devonian fossils of the Ponta Grossa Formation, diamonds and those elements related to water (eg., Tibagi River, Santa Rosa Fall), which highlight the municipality in scientific and Geosciences educational fields, and also tourism in natural areas. The analysis here proposed was performed taking into account the effective and potential uses of geological heritage, framing it to the resources and assets ranks, both also qualified as generic or specific, where the analyzed data were obtained from legal documents, literature and fieldworks. A local geological heritage framework was established, with an identification of the actual and/or potential, and direct and/or indirect uses of these elements in the main development axes of the municipality. The tourism sector is prominent in the incorporation of geological heritage, mainly in the adventure sports, ecotourism, geotourism and in the chain of products and services related to this sector. In the environmental area the implications are given by geoconservation, represented by activities related to the municipality's recycling program and in the conservation units of administrative state-level. While not as explicit, but with potential contributions, are those programs in technology area, applied also in education, the latter identified as one who has relationships with the geological heritage still incipient. In agriculture, the main economic sector of Tibagi, the relationship is established from the pluriactivity in rural areas.
