Num primeiro momento, nos capítulos I e II, são levantados os aspectos gerais que indicam uma mudança no lugar onde é posta a questão da verdade. Depois, no capítulo III e também na conclusão, são trabalhadas as implicações de tal mudança para a questão da verdade em geral e para a própria filosofia. A pretensão é mostrar que as considerações de Heidegger não tem por objetivo a produção de um novo conceito de verdade, que venha rivalizar com os já existentes; o que está em jogo é uma problematização mais ampla da verdade, enquanto um fenômeno de bases existenciais e, portanto, não apenas como conceito lógico-semântico. Transpondo os limites da lógica, Heidegger se pergunta pelas condições ontológico-existenciais da verdade. Então, ele desenterra a concepção grega de alétheia para assinalar o modo fundamental da verdade como descoberta e, valendo-se das conquistas de sua Analítica Existencial, liga essa descoberta ao modo de ser do ser-aí. Disso se segue a afirmação de que toda verdade é relativa ao ser-aí e a conseqüente negação da possibilidade de verdades absolutas.
This is a study about the character and about the reach of Heidegger's critique to the traditional conception of truth. Firstly, at chapters I and II, there are given the general features which indicate a kind of change in the place where the question of truth is situated. Secondly, at chapter III and also at the conclusion, there are worked out the implications of this change for the general question of truth and for philosophy itself. The intention is to show that Heidegger's considerations doesn't aim the production of a new conception of truth which could compete with those already existent; what's at stake is a wider inquiry about the truth as a phenomenon of existential basis and, therefore, not only as a logical-semantic concept. Going beyond the limits of logic, Heidegger asks for the ontological-existential conditions of truth. He then brings to light the greek conception of alétheia in order to mark the fundamental way of truth as discovery and, making use of the conquests of his Existential Analytic, he links it to the way of being of the being-here. From there it follows the statement that all truth is relative to the being-here and the consequent negation of the possibility of absolut truhts.
