A representação de sua imagem está, ainda hoje, atrelada a um modo de ver externo a sua cultura e corresponde aos interesses de quem detém o poder. A contingência dessa caracterização guarda máculas desse embate cultural e de classe entre o caboclo e o senhor de terras, detentor dos meios de produção. Analisada devidamente a #pluralidade# de tipos caipiras em Monteiro Lobato, na literatura, e Amácio Mazzaropi, no cinema, o que se vê é a perpetuação dessa imagem e a instituição de uma identidade de certa forma anômala do caboclo, o que fez com que fosse pintado, nos dizeres de Antonio Candido, de maneira bela, injusta e caricatural. Mesmo buscando a verossimilhança, ambos os autores acentuaram e fizeram retumbar com mais força e amplitude a marca negativa desse estereótipo, imprimindo-lhe de novo apenas um olhar piedoso e/ou analítico acerca das condições #paupérrimas# de vida do caipira paulista, sem, entretanto, irem a fundo em aspectos pertinentes a sua cultura e modo de vida.
Compreendendo os períodos entre 1914 e 1970, o trabalho apresentado faz um passeio pelo breve século XX, mostrando de que forma acontecimentos como as duas grandes guerras e a Revolução Soviética de 1917, e suas posteriores conseqüências, por exemplo, foram encaradas no país, não se esquivando, por certo, de uma pertinente leitura das adaptações da imagem do caipira nesse período.
The construction of image and of type rednecks, inside of the literature and of the cinema, it was elaborated to the light of images and pré-established knowledges and stagnated in the time. The representation of his image is, still today, harnessed it a way of seeing external his culture and it corresponds to the interests of who have the control. The contingency of that characterization keeps stains of that cultural collision and of class among the mestizo and the farmer, holder of production means. Analyzed correctly the #plurality# of redneck type in Monteiro Lobato, in literature, and Amácio Mazzaropi, in movies, which one see it is the perpetuation of that image and the institution of an identity in a certain anomalous way to the mestizo, what did with that it was painted, in Antonio Candido's sayings, of way beautiful, unjust and caricature. Same looking for the verisimilitude, both authors accentuated and they made to resound with more force and width the negative mark of that stereotype, printing him again just a glance merciful and/or analytical concerning the conditions #very poor# of life of the rustic from São Paulo, without, however, they thoroughly go in pertinent aspects his culture and life way. Embrancing the periods between 1914 and 1970, the presented work travels for the brief century XX, showing that it forms events as the two great wars and the Soviet Revolution of 1917, and their subsequent consequences, for instance, they were faced at the country, not dodging, for right, of a pertinent reading of the adaptations of the redneck image in that period.
