Função sexual em pacientes submetidas a mamoplastia de aumento / Sexual function outcomes in patients undergoing breast augmentation

A mamoplastia de aumento e a segunda cirurgia estetica mais realizada no Brasil, e esta relacionada com a melhora da imagem corporal, autoestima e qualidade de vida. A sexualidade e um importante componente da qualidade de vida. Objetivo: Avaliar a funcao sexual de pacientes submetidas a mamoplastia de aumento. Metodos: Quarenta e sete mulheres candidatas a mamoplastia de aumento foram tratadas cirurgicamente. O questionario Quociente Sexual u Versao Feminina (QS-F) foi aplicado no pre-operatorio e no pos-operatorio de dois, quatro e 18 meses. O questionario avalia cinco dominios do ciclo de resposta sexual: desejo e interesse sexual, preliminares, excitacao e sintonia com o parceiro, conforto, orgasmo e satisfacao sexual. Resultados: Quarenta e cinco pacientes concluiram a pesquisa. Houve melhora significante do escore total do QS-F no pos-operatorio (p=0,001), relacionado ao aumento da pontuacao nos dominios preliminares (p=0,024), excitacao (p=0,018) e satisfacao sexual (p=0,001). Nas pacientes que apresentaram estrias, nao houve melhora significante do QS-F (p=0,627), ao contrario das que nao tiveram a mesma complicacao, que apresentaram melhora (p<0,001). As pacientes que mantiveram o relacionamento estavel (p=0,224), e as que permaneceram sem relacionamento estavel (p=0,149) durante todo o periodo, nao apresentaram alteracoes significantes. Ja nas pacientes que tiveram mudanca no relacionamento no periodo, houve melhora significante do QS-F (p=0,022). Conclusao: A mamoplastia de aumento apresentou impacto positivo na funcao sexual das pacientes / Introduction: The breasts represent a series of cultural and social values, and are symbol of femininity, motherhood and sexuality. Hypomastia is a very common complaint. In the evaluation of psychic welfare, quality of life questionnaires represent the opinion of the patient in relation to treatment outcome. Breast augmentation is related to improved body image, self esteem and quality of life. Sexuality is a significant component of quality of
life. Objective: To evaluate sexual function of patients undergoing breast augmentation. Methods: 47 patients with an interest in breast enlargement were consecutively selected, treated and answered the Female Sexual Quocient (QS-F) questionnaire before and after the surgery. QS-F was developed to evaluate five areas of sexuality: sexual desire, sexual foreplay, subjective
arousal, comfort, satisfaction.
Results: 45 patients were considered for the study, divided into: with or
without streaks, with or without stable relationship, or that relationship
changed over the time. There was a significant increase in the total score of
QS-F (p=0.001), sexual foreplay (p=0.024), subjective arousal (p=0.018)
and sexual satisfaction (p = 0.001) between the preoperative and
postoperative of 4 and 18 months. Only the group without SD showed
significant increase in the total score of the QS-F over the time (p
<0.001). There was no significant difference in patients who maintained
(p=0.224) and who didn’t remained stable relationship (p=0.149) over the
time. However, patients who have changed relationship in the period showed
significant improvement of QS-F (p=0.022).

Conclusion: The breast augmentation had a positive impact on patient
