<p>Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utifrån ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv erhålla djupareförståelse och ökad kunskap kring de processer som finns i smågrupper, hur konflikterpåverkar sammanhållningen och vad det är som gör att en stabil grupp förblir stabil. Studienutgick från ett kvalitativt förhållningssätt med en hermeneutisk ansats. Med ensemistrukturerad intervjuguide utgjordes urvalet av två grupper med fem medlemmar irespektive grupp där hälften är män och hälften kvinnor. Resultatet visar att konflikter inomvänskapsgrupper inte är av ondo och kan vara utvecklande för både gruppen och den enskildeindividen. Den starka sammanhållning grupperna har visar på att konflikter inte är en storfaktor för gruppens välmående. Gruppens sammanhållning symboliseras av den socialaattraktion medlemmarna har gentemot gruppen. Resultatet analyseras utifrån teorier från LarsSvedberg, Arne Maltén, Donelson R. Forsyth, Carl M. Allwood, Michael A. Hogg mfl.</p> / <p>The purpose of this study is that from a social psychological perspektive obtain a deeperunderstanding and a greater knowledge about the processes that exist in small groups, howconflict affect the cohesion and what it is that makes a stable group remain stable. The studywas based on a qualitative research with a hermeneutic approach along with a semistructuredinterview guide. The groups interviewed consisted of two groups with five members in eachgroup where half were men and half women. The results show that conflicts within friendshipgroups is not a bad thing and can be developing for both the group and the individual. Thestrong cohesion the groups got has shown that conflicts are not a major factor for the groupswellbeing. The groups cohesion is symbolized by the social attraction the members havetowards the group. The results are analysed based ont heories from Lars Svedberg, ArneMaltén, Donelson R. Forsyth, Carl M. Allwood, Michael A. Hogg, among others.</p>
