Spår av lärarens modelltext i elevnoveller

The purpose of the study is to investigate the eventual influence of a model text in students´writing process. This study is based on Vygotskij’s theory of the proximal developing zoneand parts of Genette’s theory of Transtextuality. For the analysis of the data material, Romberg’s model for Epic analysis and Genette’s Transtextuality Theory were used. Students in a small Swedish Secondary School class were given an assignment to write short stories inspired by World War II. The students were divided into two groups; one had accessto a model text, combined with information from, and discussions with the teacher. The other group had no access to the material. All students composed the short stories during ordinary lessons in the school. Traces of loans from the model text, especially allusions, were illuminated in the data material. The loans found might confirm the helpful assistance of the model text, but there is also a possibility that the model text might as well have had a limitative effect on the writers, regarding the writing process.
