Syftet med studien är att undersöka potentialen för en cirkulär affärsmodell inom möbelindustrin. Genom en enkätundersökning har landsting/regioner, kommuner och myndigheter tagit ställning till frågor som utgår från konceptet cirkulär ekonomi. Resultatet av studien visar att det finns en mycket låg efterfrågan för en cirkulär affärsmodell inom den offentliga sektorn. Det marknadshinder/barriär som framförallt anses begränsa införandet av en cirkulär ekonomi är det juridiska ramverket, lagen om offentlig upphandling (LOU). / The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential of a circular business model in the furniture industry. Through a questionnaire survey county councils/regions, municipalities and authorities have taken a stand on issues based on the concept of circular economy. The results of the study show that there is a very low demand for circular business model in the public sector. The market obstacle/barrier which mainly is considered to limit the introduction of a circular economy is the legal framework, the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
