Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka och analysera socialsekreterares språkliga praktik genom dokumentation. Socialsekreterarna i den undersökta verksamheten ger råd och stöd till barn och föräldrar i samband med umgängen. Uppsatsens frågeställningar centrar sig kring ett utforskande av akternas uttryck utifrån tre teman; makt, föräldraskap och klientskap. Genom ett teoretiskt ramverk utifrån Michel Foucaults och Pierre Bourdieus teorier om makt och social praktik undersöks och analyseras dokumentationens uttryck i den undersökta verksamheten. Detta genom en kritisk diskursanalys med en textorienterad kvalitativ ansats. Uppsatsens resultat har visat på uttryck av en social praktik, vilken är präglad av disciplinära maktutövanden, administration och normativa föreställningar. Socialsekreterarnas överordnade position samt agerande av makt gentemot de som har en insats i verksamheten har i analysen visat på uttryck av en doxisk makt, vilket genom den sociala praktiken kan förstås som ett kollektivt, icke-erkänt, maktutövande. I praktiken innebär det att makten i många fall osynliggörs och blir svår att kritisera, vilket också kan antas försvåra ett relationellt socialt arbete tillsammans med klienterna. På individnivå kan avsaknaden av ett relationellt socialt arbete påverka insatsernas resultat, medan det på en samhällsnivå bland annat kan ses stärka individualiseringen och försvåra möjligheterna att arbeta utifrån delar av Socialtjänstlagens mål om solidaritet och minskad social utsatthet. Sammantaget visar uppsatsens resultat ett exempel på komplexiteten i det sociala arbetet med barn och familjer, både när det kommer till innehåll i insatser och uttryck utifrån den dokumenterade delen av arbetet. En komplexitet som förutsätter möjlighet till kritiska diskussioner och reflektion i arbetet. / The purpose of the study is to investigate and analyze the linguistic practices of social workers through documentation. The social workers of this study provide advice and support to children and parents in connection with visitations. The essay's questions center on an exploration of the expression of acts based on three themes; power, parenting and clientele. Through a theoretical framework based on theories of power and social practice by Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu, the expression of the documentation is examined and analyzed. This through a critical discourse analysis with a text-oriented qualitative approach. The results have shown the expression of a social practice, which is characterized by disciplinary exercises of power, administration and normative conceptions. The study have shown, through the superior position of the social workers and the act of power in relation to those children and parents who have a intervention on the field, an expression of a doxic power, which means a collective, unrecognized, exercise of power. In practice, this means that power often becomes invisible and difficult to criticize, which is also assumed to make relational social work, together with the clients, difficult. At an individual level, the lack of relational social work can affect the results of the interventions, while at a societal level it can be seen to strengthen individualization and reduce the opportunities to work based on parts of Socialtjänstlagens goal of solidarity and reduced social vulnerability. All in all, the paper's results show the complexity of social work with children and families, both when it comes to content in social interventions and expressions based on the documentation in social work. A complexity that requires critical discussions and opportunities for reflection at work.
