Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur stor plats kvinnor och män samt andra länder än Sverige har fått i historieläroböcker och historieundervisningen för grundskolans tidigare år. Vi undersökte böcker från fyra olika årtionden, 1960-, -70, -80 och 2000- talet. En viktig del av undersökningen blev att titta på hur ofta de olika läroböckerna tog upp pronomen som syftade på kvinnor och hur många gånger det förekom pronomen som syftade på män. På samma gång ville vi se hur de olika könen framställs och om där finns någon skillnad dem emellan. I undersökningen kring andra länder ville vi få fram hur ofta de togs upp och i vilka sammanhang detta sker. En central del av analysen var att se om de olika läroböckerna skilde sig åt. Huvudresultaten är att det har skett en förändring när det gäller genus, genus i form av män och kvinnor, i läroböckerna. Detta kan man se genom att det har förekommit en ökning av kvinnliga pronomen från bok till bok. Denna förändring är inte så stor mellan de tre första böckerna men i boken som ligger närmast i tiden kan man se en relativt stor ökning i förhållande till de andra. Resultatet av undersökningen kring olika länder blev inte den samma som i undersökningen av manligt och kvinnligt. Här har det inte förekommit någon förändring i läroböckerna; andra länders historia får inte något större utrymme i någon av böckerna. / The purpose of this project was to examine the emphasis place on women, men and other countries than Sweden has may in history textbooks and the history education for the compulsory education’s earlier years. We looked in books from four different decades. An important part of the survey became to look on how often the different textbooks took up pronomen as aimed on women and how many aisles where occur pronomen as aimed on men. At the same time, we wanted to see how the different sexes is produced and about where there are differences between them. In survey around other countries we wanted to know how often they were taken up and in which contexts it happens. A central part of the survey was to see if the different textbooks were different from each other.When our survey was clear the result became that it has been a change when it comes to genus, genus in the form of men and woman, in the textbooks. This can one see through that it has occurred an increase of the female sex from book to book. This change is not so big between the three first books but in the book that lies nearest in time can one see a relative big increase in relation to the other books. The result of the survey concerning the other countries did not become the same as in the survey of men and women. Here it has not occurred any changes in the textbooks; other nation’s history does not somewhat bigger scope in none of the books.
