This qualitative study aims to contribute to increased knowledge of how collaboration between social services, schools and health centers works and can be improved in the work with children and youths with mental illness. This study focuses on the obstacles and opportunities that according to professionals often arises when different areas of the field collaborate. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, six qualitative interviews were conducted with professionals who are currently employed within each organization. The empirical data was analyzed using a theoretical framework that consists of the followingtheoretical concepts:collaboration, knowledge and explanation factors, formal and informal rules, organizational situation, external and internal conditions, opportunities for collaboraton and multidiciplinary teams. The results of this study indicates that the professionals interpret that obstacles and opportunities for collaboration occurs on both a structural and individual level. There is an awareness of how and why obstacles are created, but according to the professionals there is a lack of personal contact and communication between the organisations, which is needed to get a better understanding of each other's work and responsibilities. Having a discussion about collaboration is, according to the professionals, central for them to be able to provide children and youths with mental illness the optimal support and assistance that they may require / Denna kvalitativa studie har som syfte att bidra med ökad kunskap om hur samverkan mellan socialtjänst, skola och första linjens psykiatri fungerar och kan förbättrasi arbetet med barn och ungdomar med psykisk ohälsa. Studiens fokus är att undersöka vilka hinder och förutsättningar som de professionella uppfattar uppstår när verksamheterna samverkar. För att uppnå studiens syfte har sex kvalitativa intervjuer genomförts med professionella som har en nuvarande anställning inom respektive verksamhet. Det empiriska materialet har analyserats med hjälp av ett teoretiskt ramverk som består av de teoretiska begreppen: samverkan, kunskaps-och förklaringsmässiga faktorer, formella och informella regler, organisatorisk situation, yttre och inre betingelser, förutsättningar för samverkan och multidisciplinära team. Resultatet i denna studie pekar på att de professionella uppfattar att hinder och förutsättningar för samverkan uppstår på både en strukturell och individuell nivå. Det finns en medvetenhet om hur och varför hinder skapas, men enligt de professionella saknas personlig kontakt och kommunikation mellan verksamheterna som behövs för att få en ökad förståelse för varandras arbete och ansvarsområden. Att diskutera och tydliggörasamverkan,är enligt de professionella, en central förutsättningför att de tillsammans ska kunna erbjuda barn och ungdomar med psykisk ohälsa optimala stöd-och hjälpinsatser.
