碩士 / 萬能科技大學 / 經營管理研究所 / 99 / This paper explores factors that affect customer satisfaction in the booming business of aromatherapy beauty salons in recent years. Asking why a certain product or service attracts customers to repeat purchase, the study aims to analyze customers’ basic information and repurchase reasons in order to clarify the connection between corporate image and customer trust. To help owners of aromatherapy beauty salons provide better service, this research examines relationship between corporate image, customer trust, service quality, price level and customer satisfaction.
In accordance with the background and motivation of the research, this study sets up a few hypotheses and has the correlations between the hypotheses and four variables tested via a questionnaire:
1. to see if the corporate image of aromatherapy beauty salons has an impact on customer satisfaction;
2. to see if the service quality of aromatherapy beauty salons has an impact on customer satisfaction;
3. to see if the price level of aromatherapy beauty salons has an impact on customer satisfaction;
4. to see if the customer trust of aromatherapy beauty salons has an impact on customer satisfaction.
The variables of the five aspects are analyzed based on the questionnaire results with a view to examining the perceptual differences in brand image, service quality, customer trust, customer satisfaction in different population sizes. Salient features are subject to follow-up Scheffé tests.
For customer satisfaction, regression analysis is adopted. To avoid multicollinearity among independent variables, the Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and the Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) are used to ensure that the problem does not exist.
The results of the regression analysis show that service quality and customer trust are the most important factors affecting customer satisfaction in aromatherapy beauty salons. More attention to these two aspects will considerably enhance customer satisfaction and lead to higher profit.

Investigation of microemulsions as formulation design of cinnamon oil in skin permeation / 桂皮油微乳劑型處方設計及經皮穿透之研究Da-Cian Lyu, 呂大千 January 2006 (has links)
碩士 / 高雄醫學大學 / 藥學研究所碩士班 / 94 / Abstract
In recent years, aromatherapy is very prevalent and the utilization of essential oil is increased more and more. If the operative method of essential oil isn’t suitable, it would cause allergic and uncomfortable symptom in the skin for instance the skin inflame, skin itch, vomit and other sign. The purpose of this study was to develop the optimal microemulsion formulation using cinnamon oil as model drug. Cinnamaldehyde is the highest content in cinnamon oil and selected as the indicator for analysis by gas chromatography. Microemulsion is expected to reduce the volatility and increase the application of cinnamon oil. The physicochemical property of the microemulsion was evaluated by in vitro and in vivo study. Brij 35 and propylene glycol were chose as surfactant and co-surfactant which mixed in accordance with the appropriate proportion. Oleic acid was chose as oil phase, and then added water phase to manufacture the microemulsion. The particle size of formulation was small under 100 nm, and polydispersity was lower than 0.7. In volatility study, microemulsion could effectively reduce the volatility of cinnamon oil. In permeation study, the permeation profiles demonstrated that the flux (200 ?慊/cm2/hr) of cinnamaldehyde increased as amount increasing in vitro. The cinnamaldehyde level in the blood wasn’t detected, so the concentration of hippuric acid was substituted by GC method in the urine. In addition, the skin irritation was measured by colorimeter, and the result was exhibited that the formulations of cinnamon oil microemulsion didn’t cause the obvious skin irritation.

Effects of Essential Oils on the Differentiation Process of 3T3-L1 Preadipocyte Cells / 植物精油對3T3-L1脂肪細胞分化過程的影響Sheue-Chi Wang, 王雪其 January 2004 (has links)
碩士 / 國立陽明大學 / 生物化學研究所 / 92 / Obesity is becoming a world wide epidemic. It is considered a disease not only because of the stigma of being fat, but also because of the chronic diseases associated with it. Aromatherapy, which is a form of alternative therapy, is becoming a more and more widely chosen treatment for obesity, yet the mechanisms behind their effects are mostly still unknown. Oleaceae oil is the aromatic constituent of a flower from the Oleaceae family obtained through solvent extraction methods. The aim of this experiment is to examine the effects of Oleaceae oil on preadipocyte differentiation and the identification of its active components. When induced to differentiate in the presence of Oleaceae oil (35-130 mg/ml), 3T3-L1 preadipocytes dose- dependently reduced their ability to accumulate cellular triglycerides. Cytoplasmic triglyceride droplets could also be visualized by microscopic observation. Cells treated with 130 mg/ml Oleaceae oil retained their morphology as spindly fibroblasts, while normal adipocytes take on a rounded shape filled with triglyceride droplets. Fractions separated by silica gel chromatography were subjected to the same assay and the active fraction was subsequently analyzed by GS/ MS. Results show that the main component of the active fraction is most likely to be ethyl linoleate. A purer compound needs to be obtained to verify its chemical structure.

The Effect of Acorus calamus Essential Oil on 3T3-L1 Preadipocyte Cells Differentiation / 石菖蒲精油對於3T3-L1前脂肪細胞分化過程之影響Jung-Wei Tsai, 蔡鎔薇 January 2006 (has links)
碩士 / 國立陽明大學 / 生化暨分子生物研究所 / 94 / Obesity is becoming a world wide epidemic. In this study, we tried to find the essential oils owing anti-obesity effects by utilizing scientific methods. 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were chosen as the cell model, and the level of triglyceride accumulation was used to estimate the differential extent of these cells. Plant essential oils showed the anti-differentiation activity and then proceeded further separation and purification for the effective compounds. After the anti-differentiation activity was analyzed, the active component was confirmed as the effective compound of plant essential oil. Compare to the control group, the triglyceride level of the adipocytes was lowered to 47% under the 0.25 mM the active component treatment. The active component also decreased the expression of PPARγ nand C/EBPα. These results suggested that the effective compound of plant essential oil, the active component can inhibit the differentiation of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and the inhibitory activity, in part, dependent on the down-regulation of PPARγ nand C/EBPα.

The applications of essential oils from six kinds of Labiatae plants for mending acne condition / 六種唇形花科植物精油於改善青春痘之應用Ming-Ching Chuang, 莊明珈 January 2008 (has links)
碩士 / 嘉南藥理科技大學 / 化妝品科技研究所 / 96 / Acne vulgaris, an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous gland, is a common skin disease. When sebum are secretd excessively, P. acnes which resides in sebaceous glands proliferate largely. The organism produces a variety of exocellular enzymes and molecules with chemoattractant activ- eity, and it has also been shown to stimulate cells of nonspeafic immune system to produce proinflammatory cytokines which initiate inflammation A sequence of abnormal wound healing after the damage that occurs in the sebaceous follicle during acne inflammation may lead to post-acne scars. Compounds targeting acne vulgaris therefore,should be able to inhibit P. acnes, reduce inflammation and reduce post-acne scar formation. The natu- ral essential oils exhibit not only
antimicrobial and antioxidant properties but also fewer side effects. In this
study, six categories of essential oils derived from Labiatae plants will be
analyzed the biological activities for mending acne condition.
In the study of biological activity, broth dilution method was used to test the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). The results of antimicrobial property indicated all the essential oils can inhibit the growth of P. acnes
except the Mentha x piperita. Melissa officinalis displays the most significant antimicrobial abilities with the MIC value of 0.57μL/mL against P. acnes. For antioxidant aspect, DPPH free radical scavenging assay,β-carotene bleaching test and Griess method have been operated.The result showed the Ocimum gratissimum owned the best antioxidant effect on DPPH free radical scavenging assay andβ-carotene bleaching test. In addition, Melissa officinalis expressed the greatest NO scavenging effect on Griess assay. In the anti-inflammatory activity, Mentha aquatica represented the largest inhibition on 5-lipoxygenase. Furthermore the effects of essential oils on the secretions of pro-inflammatory cytokines from ThP-1 cell line induced with P. acnes were also determined. Melissa officinalis, Mentha aquatica, Ocimum gratissimum and Origanum majorana can suppress the productions of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
In summary, the essential oil from Melissa officinalis possessed pronounced
antibacterial activity against P. acnes. Also, Ocimum gratissimum , Mentha aquatica and Origanum majorana owned the positive antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity respectively, which will offer an assistance in the prevention of scar formation. Ultimately, the study suggested blending
aromatic oils may be the better options in the application on aromatherapy and cosmetics for anti-acnes.
