Contribución de la inteligencia competitiva en el proceso de I+D+i del sector farmacéutico : el caso de España

Salazar García, Aída 10 September 2015 (has links)
This research focuses on the use and practice of Competitive Intelligence within the Spanich pharmaceutical sector, as a tool to be used in decision making. For that purpose, it is necessary to perform each step of the IC methdology, in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of competing firms and the own, to plan strategies for the benefit and growth of the pharmaceutical industry in Spain. This is for laboratories and companies regarless of their origin either national or foreign companies affiliated with Farmaindustria and Plan Profarma for the period 2008-2011. The research is founded on the basis of four research questions that expose the following: 1) The characteristics of Competitive intelligence and its practice within pharmaceutical companies of Spain; 2) The contribution of the CI in the process of R&D in the pharmaceutical firms; 3) Enablings and inhibiting factors of innovation, patents and CI, in Spain; and 4) The influence of CI in the chain of product development in the pharmaceutical firms in Spain. The proposal of the methodology is established by considering the aforementioned background and disciplines from which this research is based, espefically CI, R&D+i and patents. First of all, through the stages of the CI cycle, planning, evaluation of sources, information gathering, data processing, analysis (qualitative techniques) and results three work phases were established to conduct the research methodology, 1) a database of 200 pharmaceutical companies was created including fields to be filled about general data, innovation, therapies, and so on. 2) the implementation of a survey of 155 companies with open-ended questions on the themes of R&D, innovation, industrial property, CI and other questions. Finally, 3) a patents analysis though "Matheo Patent software" to identify business leaders, countries, inventors, technology, patent officess, etc. Results indicate the use of the CI in pharmaceutical firms even if the steps of the methodology are often not applied in structured form. Large enterprises give more attention to this type of activities, while SMEs lean towards other interests on the operations, on small innovations found on the way. Among the main perceived needs, it is highlighted the lack of investment in R&D, because the development of innovative new drug is long, expensive and with a rate of slow and uncertain recovery. 25% of pharmaceutical firms performing R&D, record a low rate of innovation, but the market for generic drugs and beauty products increases gradually. It was noted that a variety of information sources and tools for information on the area of interest, with the aim of providing a competitive advantage over the competition. However, there are also factors that impede the efficient and continuous development of the IC as a tool for innovation, since those are processes that must adapt to the changing political, social and cultural environmen as it is the case of research for innovative products and services that pharmaceuticl firms can provide to society. Finally and in the vace of the many possibilities the pharmaceutical industry provides, future research lines are proposed: Knowledge management (KM) to check the status of the company through the transmission of information and skills to their employees, while the external knowledge will indicate what happens in the market; patent analysis to identify whether what has been patented in the last 5-7 years, is still in the market as well as checking product whose patent is about to get due.

Lima, Juliano Uecker de 28 April 2017 (has links)
Competitive intelligence is recognized as a systematic process, with interrelated phases that aim to analyze data and information, in order to support strategic decision making. A formal model for strategic planning in cooperative and competitive environments case study: design and implementation of a basketball simulator / Um modelo formal para planejamento estratégico em ambientes cooperativos e competitivos.

Otranto, Guilherme Fernandes 13 September 2017 (has links)
The motivation that originated this work was the desire to create an invasion team sports simulator capable of applying user defined strategies to guide the behavior of the agents in the simulation. With this objective in mind we created a formal strategy model to describe complex team behavior and developed methods of using that model to calculate collective plans. We defined both the strategy model and the planning methods in a broad manner that can be applied in many different domains. Then we defined a basketball simulation domain and implemented our methodology to develop a simulator. We also present a control system architecture that is compatible with our proposed planner and show how we implemented it to create the basketball simulator. The formal strategy model we developed can be used to represent team behavior, analyze real world events and create simulations. We developed a strategy design tool that allows the end user to create and visualize team strategies for basketball. Finally, we developed a system that interprets the user generated strategies and creates a basketball match simulation of the described behavior. We also proposed a methodology for the development of simulation systems involving multiple intelligent agents. Our recommended control system architecture separates the many layers of control, which simplifies the development process and results in a naturally expansible system. In this thesis we have provided a novel approach to collective behavior simulation utilizing user input as a guide to the strategy planning. Both the theory and methods developed have been tested through the implementation of a basketball simulator and the results were satisfactory. We believe this is a seminal work that will lead to many interesting developments, both in the realm of sports and in broader domains. Observatoire dynamique comme outil d’aide à la décision appliqué au système éducatif : cas du Cameroun : approche de l’intelligence économique / Dynamic observatory as decision support tool applied to educational system : case of Cameroon's educational system

Ndjock, Fleur Nadine 09 February 2017 (has links)
The aim of this work is to apply the concept of observatory in educational system as a tool for decision support based on the visualization of information. For this, we have developed the Dynamic Observatory applied to the Education System (ODSE) that we have applied to the Cameroonian educational system. Our descriptive approach is based on fact that to decide, one must understand, and to understand, we must observe and analyze. In one way or another, intelligence is based on the observation process. The decision comes after understanding its environment. Also, the observation is turned into knowledge with the given meaning to things and determining what to do. But the analysis and understanding of the environment differ from one individual to another; the decision is then influenced by external factors such as political pressures, cultural and / or social. This being the information we have for steering the process and the choice of solving a decision problem, we thought it important to have a tool that assists the decision maker in the decision process for making quick and safe decisions or at least minimizing the degree of uncertainty in decision chosen. This tool provides transparency in processing and clarity in the process of information collection. Such an observatory, it serves as an instrument for monitoring and control through which the decision-maker observes, analyzes and orients its decision based on the behavior of one or more indicators. The result returned is in a visual form to generate indicators from the mass of data available to the decision maker. Our work has been guided by the concept of competitive intelligence that provides a methodology for implementing a rational process through the use of information and it is based on the approaches of “satisfactory” choice and rational decision process from the work of Falque and Bougon.

Dynamic capabilities and understanding of sectoral issues : Technological Intelligence’s contribution to the case of avionics.

Beaugency, Aurélie 26 November 2015 (has links)
The understanding of the scientific dynamics of an environment, whether technological orcompetitive, occupies a predominant place in the discussion of adaption and survival of firms. In thecase of avionics, the upheaval in the 2000’s is the consequence of profound changes in its two mainsectors, aeronautics and electronics. This drove the Computer Department, part of the AvionicsDivision of Thales Group, to question its ability to handle these evolutions. In this thesis, we examineone of these mechanisms, the sensing dynamic capability (defined as the aptitudes deployed by firmsin order to adapt routines and organizational capabilities) and we put it into practice throughtechnological intelligence capability.By studying the deployment of this ability inside the Department, we show how technologicalintelligence contributes to the learning process of the firm, as it is used by managers in order toinfluence the selection process of Product Policy. In order to achieve this, we adopted a researchinterventionmethodology (with the support of an industrial agreement CIFRE) based on two steps.First of all, we show that through the operationalization of the technological intelligence ability in thedepartment, managers put the latter to use in the selection of product policies. Secondly, the results ofthe technical studies conducted for this deployment add to the understanding of the scientific andtechnological dynamics of the avionics sector.
