Ecrire la révolution égyptienne de 2011 : entre témoignage et fiction / Writing the Egyptian revolution of 2011 : between testimony and fiction

Galal Mohamed, Ahmed 08 December 2017 (has links)
This research focuses on narratological and stylistic issues in the writings that appeared at the end of the popular uprising in Egypt in 2011. It combines two axes, one notional and the other analytical. On the one hand, it deals with questions of literary genre, space, temporality and language of writing. On the other hand, it offers to compare five texts which will be examined at the literary as well as at the thematic level : Ayyām al-Taḥrīr (2011), Cairo: my city, our revolution (2012), al-Ṯawra 2.0 (2012), Aǧniḥat al-farāša and Sabʿat ayyām fī al-Taḥrīr (2011). These works are considered within the framework of what critics have called adab al-ṯawra or adabiyyāt al-ṯawra--"literature(s) of the revolution". I try to highlight the characteristics and peculiarities of this very young production. The challenge here is to study how contemporary Egyptian writers have produced narratives which reveal a process of wonderment, reconfiguration and transformation of the representation of the citizen, especially that of young people.

A geocriticism of Palestinian Theatre (2006-2016)

Nakhlé-Cerruti, Najla 30 November 2017 (has links)
This work studies how the spatial dimension is elaborated in six theatre plays produced between 2006 and 2016 by Palestinians and how these texts interact with the real space within which they unfold. Because of the strong constraints imposed on Palestinians’ mobility, the practice of territory embodies an experience. This alters the conditions and choices of production and theatre offers a space to tell this experience. In this body of texts, testimony takes center stage in the form of staged autobiography. The text therefore becomes a literary object, rather than a medium for memory. Self-narrative allows Palestinians to express their exiles in both geographic and psychological terms, by using the form of the monologue. In their stories, the characters are so affected by this experience of territory that they end up being conflated with the space they describe. The spatial dimension in the texts is elaborated from literary figures. The image of imprisonment expresses in a direct manner the links between text and reality. It participates in the questioning of the myth of Palestine that fills the texts of this decade. It is indeed in real and textual space that the identity dynamics of Palestinians are being built.

Tváří v tvář ztátě: Figury ztráty v poválečné středoevropské literatuře / Facing the loss: Loss figures in the postwar central european literature

Petránková, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
My paper will focus upon the theme of loss in postwar Central European literature in works of Nabokov, Bachmann, Bernhard, Handke, Esterhazy, and Chwin, which are narrated as a modern subject's testimony of loss. My goal is to make a collection of loss figures (inspired by Roland Barthes's Fragments of a Lover's Discourse) to examine the nature of testimony in relation to the acts of writing. Any analytical inquiry that focuses itself on the literary testimony as a work of art will have to deal with these textual mechanisms: transparency, suppression, deleting, distancing, turning over, heaviness and reduction.

Kognitivní interview jako prostředek podpory přípravného řízení / Cognitive interview as a supportive method in criminal investigation

Gábrišová, Julie January 2021 (has links)
The presented diploma thesis presents the method of cognitive interview and describes the possibilities of its use in the preparatory proceedings. The theoretical part defines the interrogation of a witness in the preparatory proceedings and introduces the psychological processes in creating witness statement. In the following chapters, the thesis focuses only on the method of cognitive interview, presents its processs, basic techniqes, but also a comparison with other interrogation methods. The greatest emphasis of the thesis is on the use of cognitive interview with the police and specific groups that participate in the preparatory proceedings. Part of the thesis is also research, which is divided into two parts. Each of them aims to describe the current process of interrogating witnesses and victims in the Czech Republic, to help answer the question of whether it is important to try to implement the method of cognitive interview in the Czech environment. Thanks to the analysis of five interrogation videos and seven interviews with police officers from practice, it was possible to identify some interrogation techniques that are considered effective in the cognitive interview method, but also those that the method recommends not to use. Of the four cognitive interview techniques, which are...

Utváření svědeckých výpovědí shromážděných v CVH Malach / Formation of witness testimonies collected at CVH Malach

Strouhal, Matěj January 2017 (has links)

Prověrka výpovědi na místě - problémy teorie a praxe / On-the-spot examination of the testimony - problems of theory and practice

Händlová, Tereza January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the problem of the criminalistic method of on-the-spot examination of the testimony, namely with particular questions of its theoretical definition as well as selected questions concerning its practical use within the activities of law enforcement authorities. The overall aim of this thesis is to give a comprehensive view of this institute and to present a detailed analysis of individual aspects of this method of forensic practice, as well as the subsequent identification of particular questions, problems and uncertainties that arise in this context. The first part focuses on the theoretical perspectives of the on-site examination of the testimony. Attention is brought to its process of constitution in Czechoslovak forensic science, its conceptual definition as well as differentiation from other methods of forensic practice. The second part of this thesis deals with selected practical questions related to the on- site examination of the testimony. In addition to the basic tactical principles elaborated by forensic theory, a substantial part of this chapter is devoted to the legal aspects of the on-site examination of the testimony, i.e. its legal regulation, its incorporation into the criminal justice system and possibilities of its use. This part also contains a...

Taktické postupy překonávání lživé výpovědi / The tactical methods of overcoming the false testimony

Večeřová, Michaela January 2020 (has links)
The tactical methods of overcoming the false testimony Abstract The objective of this thesis is to describe and analyse the false testimony at interrogation, its recognition and follow-up overcoming by means of tactical interrogation methods and other techniques. In the introductory part of the thesis, the elemental concepts such as the phenomenon of lie, interrogation and testimony are defined in order to gain some insight, without which it would not be well possible to dedicate to the research of detection of lie and its overcoming. The following part deals with the lie detection in crime investigation in particular, it highlights the importance of correct identification of false testimony and it pursues the lie from perspective of the recipient of lie, whose interest is to reveal the lie. The particularities in this area regarding children are outlined as well. The subsequent part is focused on the false testimony and its detection based on the verbal, nonverbal and paraverbal tokens in conduct of concerned person. I have attempted to capture the differences between intentional communicating of untruthful information, thus lying, and unintentional communicationg of untruthful information caused by natural process of forgetting. In the following part, the overview of tactical interrogation methods applied...

Marturia in the Gospel of John : towards an emerging, missional ecclesiology within a South African Dutch Reformed context

Smit, Guillaume H 08 June 2011 (has links)
In “Marturia and the Gospel of John” the following hypothesis is investigated: Theological investigation of the ìáñôõñéá lexeme in the Gospel of John contributes significantly towards an understanding of an emerging, missional ecclesiology. The study is precipitated by the accelerated pace of change our society is currently experiencing. The technological developments of the past fifty years created a society that is totally dependent on the technology it developed. This dependence led to the developing of a new cultural paradigm in which the church is ill at home. Not only are the ecclesial structures ill-adapted to effectively minister to people who increasingly live in a different cultural milieu, but also the premises upon which itstheology is built, has increasingly come under scrutiny. The question of an emerging, missional ecclesiology is therefore not only a question of developing new ministry praxis. Neither is it a matter of reframing theological theses with new metaphors. A growing realisation exists of the need for theological research from the perspective of this developing new paradigm. Theology needs to turn to Scripture in a quest for such answers and it is proposed that a hermeneutic approach should be taken towards this investigation. This exegetical study is conducted from a New Testament perspective, specifically focusing on the Gospel of John. It is done through a sequential reading of the Gospel with special emphasis on the pericopes that contain the word-group, marturiva. Finally, the insights gathered from this study are systemized into a framework that aims to contribute towards the further development of an emerging, missional ecclesiology. It will be argued that ecclesiology serves as the integration point for reflection and practical missional ministry. As such, the church as object of investigation is the ultimate technological praxis, as the community of believers serves as the show-case of God’s presence in this world, as sacrament of his redemptive mission, and as mediator of the governance in his kingdom. Outline of the study In Chapter One attention is given to the changing cultural paradigm and the implications this holds for ministry as well as for theology. These changes are presented as the study’s research problem. The Gospel of John is also introduced as a case study in the ongoing development of an emerging, missional ecclesiology as foundational cornerstone to a postmodern theological paradigm. In Chapter Two the framework from which the hermeneutical study is undertaken, is established. A bird’s eye view of the Gospel of John is attempted and a preliminary investigation into the marturiva lexeme is also undertaken. Chapter Three investigates the testimony of John the Baptist, as recounted in John’s Gospel from John 1-4. Chapter Four reads the second part of Jesus’ public ministry, starting with John 5 and continuing until John concludes his narrative of this section of Jesus’ mission in John 12. Chapter Five studies John’s account of Jesus’ conversation with his disciples in John 13-17. It also reads John 18-21, which comprises of the Passion narrative and the Epilogue to the Gospel. In Chapter Six the matter at hand will be the development of an emerging, missional ecclesiology as a result of the exegetical study of John’s Gospel. Finally, we conclude the study by exploring some issues that need further investigation. / Thesis (PhD)--University of Pretoria, 2011. / New Testament Studies / unrestricted
