This project is carried out with the purpose of launching a company that is in charge of developing a cream for babies and children based on natural products, such as IGTBE Peru or MamaKhuyay, the name of our main product. This arises through a research project, in which it has been identified as the main problem that parents lacked natural products for the care of their children's skin. MamaKhuyay aims to support parents to prevent their children from suffering from scalds or subsequent illnesses, caused by chemical irritation caused by the urine and feces of the little ones. Our product acts as an anti-inflammatory thanks to its main component, which is chamomile extract. This plant offers different benefits for the skin due to the anti-inflammatory properties it possesses, thus contributing to the restoration of the balance of the inflamed skin of children. Likewise, our cream also serves as a moisturizer for the skin of the little ones, in addition to keeping it relaxed by the essence of chamomile that it also brings as a component. This report will be in charge of presenting all the experiments carried out in order to validate that our proposal is a scalable and innovative business. As well as, show the acceptance of the target audience through interactions in social networks and realization of cold sales. / Trabajo de investigación

Stanovení autenticity potravinářských výrobků s ovocnou složkou / Analysis of autenthicity of food products with fruit component

Prachárová, Adriana January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to determine the authenticity of fruit food for infants using molecular and instrumental methods. In the experimental part, plant DNA isolations from fruit leaves (peaches, apricots, plums and apples) and bananas were performed. Further, DNA was isolated also from five commercial products, and from model mixtures that were prepared in terms of content identical to the commercial mixtures. The isolated DNA was characterized and verified by qPCR with plant DNA-specific ITS2 primers. Three triple primer pairs were selected, and their specificity was evaluated when performing multiplex PCR. This method makes it possible to detect more types of fruit in one reaction, reducing the economic and time requirements for detection. As none of the selected primer pairs were sufficiently specific for the apricot, the evidence from the plum and peach was further realized using duplex PCR. High resolution melting curve analysis was used for better DNA type recognition. Subsequently, agarose gel electrophoresis was performed to analyse the fragment lengths. Furthermore, experiments have been made to identify some specific phenolic substances in commercial and model fruit mixtures by HPLC. Since phenolic substances are degradable under unsuitable storage conditions, the presence of individual compounds was not detected by this method.

Stanovení aktivních látek v instantních nápojích určených pro dětskou výživu / Analysis of active substances in instant beverages for child´s nutrition

Jašková, Martina January 2011 (has links)
The aim of presented diploma thesis was to characterize baby beverages for early infant feeding. Theoretical part deals with baby foods and beverages including breast milk. Practical part is focused on analysis of active substances in 21 commercially available fruit and herbal instant granular baby beverages and in 3 packaged tea bags for infant and toddler age. To evaluation of antioxidant properties some group parameters were used - total polyphenols, total flavonoids, total antioxidant activity and anthocyanins. All of them were analysed by using spectrophotometrical methods. For identification and quantification of individual phenolic substances was used RP-HPLC/UV-VIS and HPLC/PDA/LC-MS, identification of individual mono- and disaccharides was performed by HPLC/RI. L-ascorbic acid supplemented to some children's drinks was analysed by HPLC-NH2/UV. Protein analysis was performed by Experion microfluidic electrophoresis system (BioRad) and protein concentration was verified by colorimetric method. In general, the highest content of phenolic compounds was shown in tea bags when compared with instant granular beverages that contain mostly added simple carbohydrates. Using contact microbial tests proved immediately after opening and also during manipulation with tea boxes was verified that analysed baby teas are in agreement with strict hygiene requirements for baby beverages.

Knowledge sharing between different generations in engineering field

Badakhova, Arina, Virza, Reinis January 2020 (has links)
Purpose: The purpose of particular study is to explore individuals’ perceptions of knowledge sharing and its obstacles in a multigenerational engineering company. This study focuses on two groups of individuals: employees and managers. The perception of knowledge sharing and how differently generations perceive it is covered in this study. The obstacles which could occur during knowledge sharing between different generations in the engineering field are explored. The role of management in knowledge sharing processes is also covered. Methodology: To explore individuals’ perceptions of knowledge sharing and its obstacles in a multigenerational engineering company. A qualitative research approach was applied, using single company case study strategy. The case company is one of the leading construction engineering companies in Latvia. The primary data was gathered by conducting 12 semi-structured interviews, 3 interviews per every generation (Millennial, Generation X and Baby boomer) and 3 interviews with managers. The secondary data was obtained from the company, which included internal documents covering the general information about the company, guidelines and policies. By the usage of primary and secondary data triangulation of the study was reached. Findings: The thesis provides analysis of knowledge sharing and its obstacles within the multigenerational workforce of a construction engineering company. The perceptions of three generational cohorts such as Baby Boomers, Generation X and Millennials are presented. The conceptual framework for the study was built on the basis of three dimensions such as organizational. individual and technological obstacles. Based on the conceptual framework, authors brought up several propositions which supported the analysis process. The analysis showed that there are differences in perception of knowledge sharing and obstacles connected with it between engineers of different generations. Originality: There has not been any research about knowledge sharing between different generations in Latvia nor in Northern Europe, in general. The engineering field is a knowledge intensive sector, therefore knowledge sharing is crucial. Labor force still contains three different generations, thus it is important to explore whether engineering companies in Latvia have faced knowledge sharing obstacles, as it is a rapidly developing sector in this particular country.
