[pt] A presente dissertação resulta de um estudo realizado sobre a inserção de pessoas com deficiência física no mercado de trabalho. O foco da pesquisa são as pessoas com deficiência física que, sendo contratadas formalmente pelo Centro de Vida Independente do Rio de Janeiro - CVI/Rio, trabalham no Serviço de Atendimento ao Cliente da Petrobrás S.A. - SAC- Petrobrás. Através de uma investigação qualitativa, onde foram privilegiados os discursos dos entrevistados, buscou-se, entre várias indagações suscitadas, compreender a percepção que tal trabalhador tem de seu ingresso nesse mercado, assim como quais são os motivos relevantes para que as empresas contratem mão-de-obra deste segmento, considerando as reais vantagens que as mesmas obtêm com tais contratações. Os resultados obtidos nos mostram, entre outras questões, que tais trabalhadores têm a compreensão de que, se hoje estão prestando serviços dentro da Petrobrás S.A., é porque são pessoas capacitadas e qualificadas, contrariando o discurso empresarial de que suas contratações fazem parte do papel social das empresas, a chamada responsabilidade social. Apontando as mudanças recentes ocorridas no mundo do trabalho, fruto da globalização dos mercados, inovações tecnológicas, flexibilização dos contratos de trabalho, entre outros, esta pesquisa visa a contribuir para a reflexão acerca da qualidade dos postos de trabalhos para portadores de deficiência física, assim como da implementação das leis que asseguram o acesso destas pessoas a esse mercado. / [en] The present dissertation is the result of a study about the insertion of persons with physical handicap in the working market. The research focus are persons with physical handicap that, being employed by the Independent Living Center of Rio de Janeiro, work at Petrobras` Customers Service. Through a qualitative research that gave emphasis to the interviewed speech, the objective of the study was, among some others inquires, to understand the workers perceptions about their entrance in this market as well as the Company`s relevant reasons for hiring labor force from this segment considering the real benefits that they have with this sort of hiring. The results shows that the workers have an understanding that if they are working for the Petrobras it is because they are competent and qualified persons, in contradiction to the company`s speech which says that its hires are part of its social role, known as social responsibility. Indicating the recent changes that took place in the work world as a result of globalization, technological innovations, flexibilization of working agreements, among others, this research aimed to contribute to a reflection regarding the quality of the working places for persons with physical handicap, as well as the implementation of laws that assure the access of these persons to this market.

This disertation focuses on people with mental disabilities, the way in which they could be integrated into society, and possibilites for them to achieve their sporting ambitions within the Paralympics.This research would not have been possible to carry out without the information obtained from the Research Library of South Bohemiaand its archives in Ceske Budejovice.The first part of this research explains what mental disabilities can consist of. It gives a detailed definition of mental disabilities, talks about different types of mental disabilities and its characteristics, and the influence these characteristics might have on an individual's personality. Furthermore, it talks about what causes mental disabilities to occur, how it develops throughout an individual's life, and how to possibly prevent such occurances. An important part of this research involves discussions concerning individuals with Down Syndrom and Authism, what causes these disabilities, and the different behaviours that are visible what causes these disabilities, and the different behaviours that are visible amongst these cases. The second part of the research discusses the Paralympics, in particular the Czech Association of Paralympics. It concentrates on the organisation's structure, its foundation, as well as looking at the goals and different activites it covers. \\
