I denna uppsats kommer jag att studera det relativt nya medieformatet podcast ur ett samtalsanalytiskt perspektiv. Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera samtalen var för sig och sedan jämföra de båda samtalen med varandra för att få fram eventuella skillnader och likheter. Kategorierna som studeras är: samtidigt tal, avbrott, introduktion av samtalsämne och samtalsuppdelning. De podcaster som analyseras är ”Alex och Sigges podcast” samt ”Filip och Fredriks podcast”. Efter att ha gjort en transkription på 20 minuter av varje podcast kunde jag avläsa att de båda samtalsparen säger ungefär lika många ord i inspelningen samt att uppdelningen mellan paren i de båda podcasterna är utmärkande lika. Antal gånger då samtidigt tal förekommer är 16 respektive 22 gånger. Antal avbrott däremot gav svaret att Alex och Sigge endast avbryter varandra 15 gånger medan Filip och Fredrik avbryter varandra hela 50 gånger. Det sker fyra ämnesintroduceringar i Alex och Sigges inspelade del och tio i Filip och Fredriks. Sammanfattningsvis kan man konstatera att Filip och Fredrik avbröt varandra mer samt att det skedde mer samtidigt tal i deras podcast jämfört med Alex och Sigges. Om det beror på att Filip och Fredriks podcastavsnitt spelades in framför livepublik eller om det är bekvämligheten då de är mer erfarna, går inte att klargöra

Idag börjar fler och fler bekanta sig med begreppet podcast som börjat florera allt oftare i svenska medier. Denna uppsats behandlar ett aktuellt ämne då podcasttrenden fullkomligt håller på att explodera i Sverige. I länder som till exempel England och USA har podcastkulturen existerat längre än i Sverige och hunnit få en bred publik med många lyssnare8, medan trenden inte fått sitt fäste i Sverige förrän på senare år. Om vi ser till den tekniska aspekten kan vi konstatera att möjligheten med att starta sin egenproducerade podcast har funnits länge, men vilka faktorer kan ha bidragit till denna plötsliga succé som vi anser uppstått det senaste året? Frågeställningarna vi kommer att använda oss av i vår studie är: Hur har podcasttrenden etablerats i Sverige? Vilka faktorer har varit avgörande för utvecklingen? För att kunna besvara ovanstående frågeställningar kommer vi att fördjupa oss inom trender och dess framväxt, samt försöka ta reda på vilka grundstenar som ligger bakom dessa trenders uppkomst. Vi kommer också att sätta oss in i audiofenomenets ursprung och utveckling från traditionell radio till dagens podcast.

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden die möglichen Vorteile des Videopodcastings der Vorlesungsreihe Anästhesiologie und Intensivtherapie in Hinblick auf das Klausurergebnis der Studierenden der Humanmedizin im Wintersemester 2012/2013 untersucht. Die täglich von Montag bis Freitag stattgefundenen Vorlesungen wurden mit Einverständnis der jeweils lesenden Dozenten gefilmt und insgesamt 11 der 21 gefilmten Vorlesungen durch einen Mitarbeiter des Studiendekanats verblindet als Videopodcast ins Studierendenportal der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Leipzig geladen. Zum Abschluss der Vorlesungsreihe wurde eine Klausur, bestehend aus 42 Multiple-Choise Fragen Typ A, geschrieben. Dabei galt es jeweils zwei Fragen pro Vorlesung zu beantworten. Somit konnten 22 Fragen je ein Podcast zugeordnet werden und für 20 Fragen gab es in Vorbereitung auf die Klausur keinen Videopodcast. Zu jedem Vorlesungsthema wurde ein Skript des jeweiligen Dozenten im PDF-Format zur Klausurvorbereitung im Studierendenportal hinterlegt. Den Erstellern der Klausur war es nicht bekannt, welcher Vorlesungspodcast online stand. Die Analyse der Klausurergebnisse konnte keinen signifikanten Unterschied zwischen den erzielten Punkten in der Podcastprobe und der Nonpodcastprobe darstellen. Die Auswertung der Klausur in Hinblick auf den Schweregrad der einzelnen Klausurfragen lässt die Vermutung zu, dass durch die Anwendung der Videopodcast eine gezielte, motivierte Klausurvorbereitung möglich ist und daher die Aufgaben, zu denen es einen Podcast gab, von einem Großteil der Studierenden richtig gelöst wurden. Begleitend wurde vor Beginn und nach Abschluss des Podcast-Projektes ein Fragebogen zum Projekt, dem studentischen Wunsch nach Multimedialität und dem Lernverhalten der Studierenden ausgewertet. Die Analyse konnte zeigen, dass die untersuchte Gruppe von Medizinstudenten eine Erweiterung des Onlineangebotes ersehnt. Das Podcast-Projekt wurde vor allem von Studierenden mit Kind positiv bewertet. Die Arbeit zeigt, dass Podcasts einen wichtigen Beitrag zum familienfreundlichen Studieren leisten. Außerdem bewirkt die Bereitstellung von Videopodcast eine motivierte Auseinandersetzung der Studierenden mit dem zu bewältigenden Lernstoff. Die vorliegende Studie konnte weiterhin zeigen, dass Videopodcasts der Vorlesungen nicht zu leeren Hörsälen führen, sondern von den Studierenden als ergänzendes Lehrangebot genutzt werden um Vorlesungen nach- und Prüfungen vorzubereiten.

This paper presents the results of a study using podcasting in a first semester Spanish course and its benefits on students' ability to differentiate between verbs `ser' and `estar'. Podcasts are digital media files that are distributed over the Internet, in this case iTunes U, using syndication feeds for playback on computers and portable media devices. Some pedagogical benefits to podcasting are its unique distribution process and the portability of the instructional material. In this study, students in one first semester Spanish class listen to one podcast per week focusing on a different area of `ser' and `estar' that is directly related to class material covered during that week while students in the other first semester Spanish class receive a written assignment instead. This study compares the effectiveness of podcasts in teaching students to differentiate between the verbs 'ser' and 'estar' and the benefit of increased enthusiasm for foreign language learning as a result of the podcasts. The results from the study show that podcasts have a positive effect on students' ability to differentiate between `ser' and `estar' and students enjoy using podcasts and feel they are improving their Spanish language skills as a result of using them. The results of this study imply that podcasting can have a positive effect as a foreign language learning tool.

The purpose of this study was to see how students used podcasts in an eighth-grade American history unit and the value they placed on them as an educational tool. The 6-week study was conducted in a suburban middle school in a district that is part of a large metropolitan area in Texas. Participants included 29 students and 2 eighth-grade teachers. The research questions were the following: (1) How do students use podcasts in an eighth-grade American history class? (2) How do students perceive the impact of the podcasts on their overall learning of the subject material? and (3) Do the podcasts motivate the students to study? Quantitative data were collected through a Likert-scaled student survey and logs kept by students. Qualitative data were collected through an open-ended portion of the student survey, student focus group discussion, and a faculty interview. The treatment tools were audio podcasts in the form of vocabulary-quiz reviews, historical vignettes, lectures, and a unit test review—all on the topic of the American Revolution. The data indicated that the students primarily used their computers at home to listen to the podcasts as they prepared for quizzes and/or the unit test. The students believed that the podcasts had a positive impact upon their grade, were a positive educational tool, and helped them to better understand the material at hand. The students also wanted to see an expansion of podcast usage in other subjects. The students claimed that it motivated them to study and the participating teachers agreed that it motivated the students to study in a non-traditional manner. Data illustrated a need for further research regarding podcasting’s impact on grades and performance at the K-12 level, student podcast construction, podcast delivery modes, and podcast use with special education and ELL students.

The purpose of this paper is to find out if technology within pedagogy can help pupils with dyslexiaperform on the same level as their peers without using compensatory aid. Is it possible to replacethe compensatory aids with the technology in question? Can the same technology also be used tosupport other pupils as well and in turn removing the stigma of needing compensatory aid? To learn the answers to these questions I have done a qualitative text analysis. This analysis focuson technology in the form of podcasts and Web 2.0 based teaching platforms. The analysis alsofocus on pupils with dyslexia and what kind of help compensatory aids can be. The texts will beanalyzed based on the concept of equivalence and Habermas's theory of technology as ideology. The conclusions I have reached is that it is not possible to help all pupils with dyslexia with theseforms of technology. Not in such a manner that the compensatory aid in question can be replaced.This is due to the fact that not every pupil with dyslexia need the same support. The technology dohowever offer aid and shows signs of being able to help the pupils perform.

Ieškoma alternatyvių projektų, kuriuose bandoma padaryti kažką panašaus. Tiesa, turi šiokių tokiu trūkumų, kurie dar galėtu būti tobulinami ateityje. / This master `s work analystes advantage of podcasting versus video broadcasting, in other words – video streaming, video podcast expectation of using it. Also I will look through what advantage has Tv stations against these who don`t use podcast technology. Also, there will be looking for some similar podcast projects too. Solutions will be presented:  prototipe  advertisements of tv`s shows  identification of terminal  video announcement`s broadcasting using any type of terminal  video announcement`s broadcasting using mobile phones  alternative video announcement`s broadcasting on mobile phones. In conclusion we can see prototipe is working. In thruth it is not everything working perfect and it should be developed near in future.
