Optimization of calculation models of maintenance offers for new civil engines

Pechoutre, Jean-Baptiste January 2011 (has links)
The sales support department performs calculations concerning maintenance offerings for civil engines based on the use of complex tools. This report describes the missions conducted during my Master's thesis: firstly, the establishment of a monitoring and security tool in the process of calculating maintenance costs. The second achievement is the creation of a tool for decision support in order to estimate and compare some of the maintenance costs associated with the use of the new commercial engine and those associated with its competitor. The goal is to estimate offers configurations giving advantages for Snecma.

Att träna elever i historical thinking genom museibesök

Agronius, Rebecca, Börjesson Sundquist, Dennis January 2020 (has links)
The primary purpose of this research overview is to look into previous research on how teachers use physical or virtual visits to museums in order to stimulate learners’ historical thinking skills. In this paper we use Peter Seixas and Tom Morton’s (2013) definition of the framework historical thinking. The paper is based on the research question: What does previous research say about how history teachers can stimulate learners in historical thinking in a physical or virtual museum environment? In order to find the research for this overview several databases were used, such as ERC, ERIC, Swepub and the search engine Libsearch. To meet the requirements there were several inclusion and exclusion criteria applied in the search for relevant articles. The researchers agree that there is potential to stimulate learner’s historical thinking skills during physical or virtual museum visits, and they also call for the need of preparation and cooperation between schools and museums. The results of this paper may be used by teachers to assess whether a trip to a museum or exploring a virtual reality museum is worth all the relevant preparations.

Role of a-Subunit VISIT-DG Sequence Residues Ile-346 and Ile-348 in the Catalytic Sites of Escherichia Coli ATP Synthase.

Zhao, Chao 07 May 2011 (has links) (PDF)
F1FO-ATP synthase is the primary source of cellular energy production in most living organisms. Malfunction of this enzyme is implicated in diseases. There are many functional motifs in and around the catalytic sites of this enzyme. One of them is the highly conserved α-subunit VISIT-DG sequence that is close to the Pi binding subdomain. The questions arise "Are they involved in Pi binding? Or are they there simply for the structural integrity of the catalytic sites?" Here, αIle-346and αIle-348, two important residues of the conserved VISIT-DG sequence, are discussed. Each residue was mutated to A/R/D/Q. Growth assays in limiting glucose media and on succinate plates suggests αIle-346 and αIle-348 are critical for the normal enzymatic function (oxidative phosphorylation). And the biochemical assays do suggest both αI-346 and αI-348 are required to maintain catalytic site, involved in Pi binding indirectly, but αI-348 plays more important role than αI-346.

De misstrodda kvinnorna : En intervjustudie om upplevelsen hos kvinnor med endometrios av att lämna anamnes / The distrusted women : An interview study about the experience of women with endometriosis giving anamnesis

Härnlund, Pauline, Nybom, Annica January 2022 (has links)
Background: Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects every 10th woman. Despite the discovery of the disease as early as 1600 BC. Knowledge of the disease is low among both the general public and health care professionals. Women with endometriosis are sometimes in need of emergency care due to relapse in their disease. At an emergency visit stress might effect the communication between the patient and the nurse, which in turn can effect the care of the patient. Aim: To shed light on the experience women diagnosed with endometriosis have of providing anamnesis at an emergency visit. Method: The study was conducted as a qualitative interview study with semi-stuctered questions. The collected data was analyzed as a content analysis. Findings: The result shows that a majority of the informants have been poorly treated when they seek emergency healthcare. They have experience mistrust from the heathcare staff who neglect their symptoms, and a powerimbalance. After all the informants also describes glimps of light and positive meetings where they’ve felt that the healthcare staff have validated them and listened to them. Conclusion: The way the healthcare professionals treat their patients greatly affect the informants experience when seeking healthcare. The results shows that the experience of giving anamnesis and the meeting with the health care will become more positiv if the patient is involved in their care.

Umgängets betydelse för barnets psykiska hälsa och anknytning vid familjehemsplacering / The significance of contact visit for the child's mental health and attachment regarding foster care placement

Mohammad, Jasmin, Rolfsson, Filippa January 2024 (has links)
This systematic literature study examines the significance of contact visit on children who are taken care of and placed in foster care. The main purpose of this work is analyzing whether there are positive or negative consequences that may arise pertaining to a child’s mental health and experience of attachment, during contact visit with biological parents, with the child in focus. The results show that the child tends to easier adapt in their new foster home and the circumstances the foster home brings when given regular contact visit with their biological parents. They also show that the child’s risk of developing internal and/or external behavioural issues - such as anxiety, worry and problematic behaviour - is reduced compared to the children who are given irregular or no visits with their biological parents. The results also showed that the child could experience ambivalent emotions connected to contact visit with their biological parents relating to the experience of loss/grief, loyalty conflicts, anxiety, low self-esteem as well as difficulty bonding with people in their life. Professionals in social services as well as other adults in the child’s vicinity, must guide and support the child during the child’s stay in a foster home in order to develop the capability of attachment and better the child’s mental health. Through the method chosen in this study, a deep and nuanced picture is revealed around the child’s experiences in relation to contact visit with their biological parents focusing on mental health and attachment. In order to get the full picture of the subject matter, this has been achieved by including the child’s perspective as well as those of foster parents, biological parents, professionals as well as researchers. During this process, the complexity of the subject matter has come to light, in a research space that has been void of providing insights into the effects of contact visit on the child. This void has been present for the last 20 years, however as more empirical research is done it has been reduced. The understanding of the significance and effect of contact visit on the child is an important aspect within Child Protective Services (CPS). It has been applied more within the organization. Children who are taken and placed into foster homes can experience it as a trauma due to being unwillingly removed from the first people they have formed attachment to. Therefore, it is important that the child is given the opportunity to create a safe relation to their biological parents through contact visit where a thorough assessment of risk by professionals has been made, in order for the child to strengthen their identity, self-esteem as well as family background for an increased chance to reunite with their biological family. During the contact visit assessment, it is adequate for the child’s voice to be heard as first priority, as well as the wellbeing of the child. It is important to take into account that contact visit is for the child and not for the parents and should therefore be designed around that.

Factors influencing maternal health care services utilization by women in Awash Fentale woreda, Ethiopia

Getachew Weldeyohannes Tedla 08 1900 (has links)
PURPOSE: The main aim of this study was to systematically assess the factors that influence maternal health care services utilization by women in Awash Fentale woreda (district), Ethiopia. DESIGN: A quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional design was selected as the methodology for this study. METHOD: Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 422 women aged 15 to 49 years through a stratified sampling technique. Data was entered, analyzed and interpreted using SPSS computer program. Binary logistic regression model was used to identify the factors that influence maternal health care services utilization. RESULTS: The findings of this research indicated that not attending school, not watching television, and not owning a Bajaj (three-tire motorbike) significantly influenced low utilization of antenatal care (ANC) visits, while exposure to media, including reading newspapers, was positively associated with the adequacy of ANC visits. Similarly, factors such as not attending school and not watching television at all influenced delivery care (DC) services utilization negatively, while husbands’ low income and not watching television at all were negatively associated with postnatal care (PNC) service utilization. This research study found that 80 (19%) of the respondents preferred to give birth at home and the remaining 342 (81%) preferred a health facility for their delivery services. In addition, 43% of the respondents were not satisfied with the care and attention given by the health care provider and approximately 52% of the respondents were not satisfied with the cleanliness of the health facilities. It was also illustrated in this study that family members’ influence was one of the major barriers identified for DC services utilization. Conclusion: Policy making, planning, and implementation should focus on factors that influence maternal health care services utilization and barriers to DC services. In order to increase the utilization of maternal health care services by women with low levels of educational status, husbands ’low income or wealth quintile, and low media exposure, strategies were developed by the researcher. / Health Studies / D.
