[pt] O surgimento da Internet gerou grandes e importantes modificações ao redor mundo. No que concerne aos relacionamentos interpessoais, possibilitou a emergência de novos tipos de relacionamentos: os virtuais. Esses ocorriam, principalmente, nos chats nos quais os usuários se comunicavam. Algum tempo depois, surgiram os chamados sites de relacionamentos. Esses têm por objetivo proporcionar um espaço virtual para a procura de parceiros amorosos. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo investigar os motivos pelos quais homens e mulheres estão utilizando o maior dos sites de relacionamentos: o Par Perfeito. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, na qual foram entrevistados 16 usuários do Par Perfeito. A análise dos seus depoimentos revela que eles decidiram cadastrarse no site porque desejavam conhecer pessoas do sexo oposto para terem um relacionamento amoroso no mundo real. As principais vantagens apontadas para a utilização do site é a crença, por parte dos usuários, de que: (1) a aproximação é mais fácil no Par Perfeito e a possibilidade de rejeição é encarada de forma menos dolorosa; (2) a grande quantidade de pessoas cadastradas significa uma maior possibilidade de encontrar um parceiro amoroso de qualidade. Ademais, os entrevistados relatam que não deixaram de procurar parceiros fora da Internet e consideram que o Par Perfeito é apenas mais uma forma de conhecer pessoas. Forma essa que eles julgam ser prática, barata e divertida. / [en] The appereance of Internet has brought enormous and important transformations around the world. In matters related to interpersonal relationships, it has allowed the beginning of a new kind of relationship: the virtual relationship. This type of relationship was common, specially, in chats, in which people used to communicate with each other. Some time later, relationship websites appeared. These websites offer a virtual space to stimulate the search for romance partners. The present work aims to investigate the reasons why women and men are using the biggest relationship website in Brazil called Par Perfeito. In order to identify all reasons, it was made a qualitative research, in which 16 Par Perfeito users were interviewed. The analysis of their answers reveals that they decided to subscribe in the website because they wanted to know people from the opposite sex and to have a love relationship in the real world. The main advantage mentioned by the users of the site, is the believe that: (1) the approach is easier in Par Perfeito and the rejection possibility is faced in a less painful way; (2) the large amount of subscribed people means a higher possibility to find a quality romance partner. In addition, the interviewees said that they didn`t stop looking for partners outside the Internet and they believe that Par Perfeito is just an extra way to meet people. A way that they find practical, cheap and funny.

[pt] O presente trabalho identifica e compara aspectos culturais e linguísticos inseridos em relacionamentos amorosos entre brasileiros e britânicos, a partir de duas categorias sugeridas pelo interculturalista Geert Hofstede: individualismo e masculinidade; e da categorização de Richard D. Lewis da cultura brasileira como multiativa e da cultura britânica como ativo-linear. O objetivo desse estudo é o de entender melhor como esses relacionamentos interculturais se dão, seus desafios, seus sucessos, investigando qual a influência da cultura e da língua nessas relações. Para nossa análise, utilizamos dados gerados por meio de entrevistas e questionários realizados com dez casais - todos formados por um/a brasileiro/a e um/a britânico/a envolvidos em um relacionamento amoroso. Entre os nossos resultados, identificamos os seguintes elementos que influenciam a relação desses casais: (i) o papel da mulher na relação; (ii) ciúmes, traição e dependência emocional; (iii) linguagem verbal, não verbal e estilística; e (iv) o lugar que o casal escolhe para viver. Portanto, esta pesquisa sinaliza os desafios encontrados pelos casais interculturais e apresenta sugestões, dadas pelos próprios informantes, para entendermos essas diferenças e tentarmos evitar que elas interfiram de maneira negativa nos relacionamentos de mesmo tipo. Por meio desse estudo, esperamos evidenciar a importância de se trabalhar esta temática em sala de aula, dando mais subsídios e embasamento teórico aos professores de PL2E, para que possam mostrar aos alunos de português a importância de se entender não só a língua como, principalmente, a cultura do outro, e contribuindo, assim, para o desenvolvimento das competências comunicativa e intercultural dos aprendizes. / [en] The present work identifies and compares cultural and linguistic aspects inserted in love relationships between Brazilians and Britons, from two categories suggested by the interculturalist Geert Hofstede: individualism and masculinity; and Richard D. Lewis s categorization of Brazilian culture as multiactive and British culture as active-linear. The objective of this study is to better understand how these intercultural relationships are given, their challenges, their successes, investigating the influence of culture and language on these relationships. For our analysis, we used data generated through interviews and questionnaires conducted with ten couples - all formed by a Brazilian and a British person involved in a loving relationship. Among our results, we identified the following elements that influence the relationship of these couples: (i) the role of women in the relationship; (ii) jealousy, betrayal and emotional dependence; (iii) verbal, nonverbal and stylistic language; and (iv) the place the couple chooses to live. Therefore, this research indicates the challenges encountered by intercultural couples and presents suggestions, given by the informants themselves, to understand these differences and try to avoid them interfering in a negative way in relationships of the same type. Through this study, we hope to highlight the importance of working this theme in the classroom, giving more subsidies and theoretical background to the teachers of PL2E, so that they can present to Portuguese students the importance of understanding not only the language but, mainly, one s culture, and thus contributing to the development of the communicative and intercultural competences of apprentices.

[pt] O presente trabalho se insere no campo do Português como Segunda Língua para Estrangeiros (PL2E) e do Alemão para Estrangeiros (ALE). Baseando-se nas teorias do Interculturalismo, identifica e compara aspectos culturais e linguísticos presentes em momentos de paquera e aproximação com vistas a um relacionamento amoroso, entre mulheres brasileiras e homens alemães e entre mulheres alemãs e homens brasileiros, a partir de categorias propostas por Geert Hofstede (Indulgência versus Restrição, Masculinidade/Feminilidade) e Alexander Thomas (Facilidade e prazer em fazer contatos e se comunicar e Emocionalismo, atribuídos ao Brasil; e Distância interpessoal diferenciadora e Orientação por regras, atribuídas à Alemanha). Demonstramos que, de forma geral, as propostas de Hofstede e Thomas se confirmam nos dados analisados; no entanto, constatamos que os resultados da pesquisa de Hofstede em relação à categoria Masculinidade/Feminilidade aplicados ao Brasil e à Alemanha não se confirmam plenamente na análise dos nossos dados. Os objetivos específicos deste estudo são: (i) buscar uma compreensão mais ampla sobre relacionamentos interculturais, observando se as possíveis diferenças entre os aspectos culturais e linguísticos podem causar estranhamento e mal-entendidos; (ii) identificar se a consciência dessas diferenças, por parte dos indivíduos envolvidos, é prévia ao seu primeiro contato; e (iii) verificar se o confronto entre essas diferenças influencia no sucesso da relação. Esclarecem-se, assim, aspectos relativos aos relacionamentos interculturais e também a importância da abordagem desta temática em sala de aula, fornecendo aos profissionais envolvidos em ensino de PL2E e de ALE mais subsídios e embasamento teórico para o desenvolvimento das competências comunicativa e intercultural dos aprendizes. / [de] Die vorliegende Arbeit verbindet die Bereiche Portugiesisch als Fremdsprache (PL2E) und DaF. Sie basiert auf interkulturellen Theorien, identifiziert bzw. vergleicht kulturelle und sprachliche Aspekte, die im Moment des Flirts zwischen Brasilianerinnen und Deutschen und zwischen deutschen Frauen und Brasilianern auftauchen. Die Kulturdimensionen von Geert Hofstede (Genuss versus Beschrankung, Maskulinität/Feminilitat) und Alexander Thomas (Kontakt- und Kommunikationsfreudigkeit und Emotionalismus werden Brasilien und Interpersonale Distanzdifferenzierung und Regelorientierung Deutschland zugewiesen) wurden weitgehend bestätigt. In Bezug auf die Kategorie Maskulinität/Feminilitat wurden Hofstedes Ergebnisse allerdings nicht in der Analyse unserer Daten festgestellt. Die spezifischen Ziele dieser Studie sind: (i) ein tieferes Verstandnis der interkulturellen Beziehungen zu erhalten, unter Hinweis darauf, dass die moglichen Unterschiede zwischen den kulturellen und sprachlichen Aspekten zu Verfremdung und Missverstandnissen fuhren konnen; (ii) herauszufinden, ob das Bewusstsein fur diese Unterschiede vor dem ersten Kontakt zwischen den beteiligten Personen aufgetreten war; (iii) zu uberprufen, ob die Konfrontation zwischen diesen Unterschieden den Erfolg der Beziehung beeinflusst. Auf diese Weise werden nicht nur Aspekte der interkulturellen Beziehungen aufgeklart, sondern auch die Bedeutung der Behandlung dieses Themas im Unterricht thematisiert, damit Fachleute im Bereich Portugiesisch als Fremdsprache und DaF eine fundierte Grundlage für die Entwicklung der kommunikativen Fahigkeiten so wie das interkulturellen Lernens erhalten.
