[pt] SOCIABILIDADE MEDIADA POR MENSAGENS EFÊMERAS: USO DOS STORIES EM EXPERIÊNCIAS DE APROXIMAÇÃO E DISTANCIAMENTO / [en] SOCIABILITY MEDIATED BY EPHEMERAL MESSAGES: USE OF STORIES IN EXPERIENCES OF APPROACH AND DISTANCE

BRUNA NEVES LACERDA 07 October 2020 (has links)
[en] This dissertation about sociability mediated by ephemeral messages sought to study new communicative and interactional possibilities, with regard to momentary communications, called Stories, mediated by devices with internet access. For this, users of the social networks Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were surveyed, totaling 88 questionnaires answered over the years 2018 and 2019. The survey forms were applied to people aged between 18 and 24, who work, have access to internet via smarthphones, live in the city of Rio de Janeiro and use Stories from at least one of the three social networks mentioned. Authors such as Georg Simmel, Erving Goffman, Daniel Miller, Yochai Benkler and Robert Kozinets served as a theoretical basis for writing the study. Among the conclusions found, it is highlighted that in order to manage the appropriate impressions, segmentations can be created between the connections of friendships that are allowed to view what is published. Thus, a dialectic of distant approximation is created and, at times, an approximate distancing.
