Title Capability of international law to resolve an ethnic conflict: case of Bosnia and Herzegovina Abstract The thesis deals with the complex issue of international law's capability to resolve an ethnic conflict, relying to a great extent on a case study of the Dayton system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It aims to take an interdisciplinary approach, focusing not only on legal issues but also on sociological and other relevant aspects. The first chapters attempt to summarize peace proposals preceding Dayton and are followed by a legal analysis of the adopted documents and a subsequent thorough examination of the most significant and visible aspects of their implementation. The last chapter then reviews the topic from the standpoint of conflict resolution. Several key questions are formulated in the preface: Is international law able to deter the risk of yet another outbreak of armed conflict in Bosnia? Are its limits or flawed imposition the immediate cause of the present state? Has the international regime in Bosnia become completely dissasociated from the sociological substratum? Whilst seeking for answers, much attention is paid to the perception and reception of the Dayton system by various interest groups within Bosnia's society as well as to international community's ensuing engagement in the country....

1 Resolving investment disputes from the perspective of case- law of international arbitration courts The purpose of my thesis is to analyse actual questions of international investment dispute resolution. In this research I would like to stress the differences between the institutional investment arbitration and the ad hoc investment arbitration while focusing on the ICSID Arbitration according to The Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States followed by the Rules of Procedure for Arbitration proceedings and on the ad hoc arbitration according to the 1976 - UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, as these two proceedings represent the most common modes of international investment dispute resolution. All my findings are going to be supported by relevant case-law of individual arbitration courts or by specialized publications. The thesis consists of three chapters. Chapter One is introductory. It contains a simple analysis of what an international investment dispute means. This thesis describes the problematic of the individual ways of dealing with bankruptcy. The first part is concretely dealing with all method of resolving insolvency with emphasis on reorganization. The concept of reorganization was introduced by the new Insolvency Act. I focus also on comparison of the reorganization and the bankruptcy. The second part of my work includes analysis of reorganization in practice. I chose the company Kordárna, a.s. for describing reorganization process. I found the reorganization more advantageous to the creditors. Nevertheless the reorganization is less used than the bankruptcy. The reasons are the high costs, the shortcomings of insolvency law, necessity of consensus and some non-confidences to reorganization.

Thesis gives redress to development schools during working prominent factors that are totally objective in view schools' requirements of changes in school network and especially implementation optimalization's institutional concept structure of high schools including optimalization of kinds in education offer on the part of particular schools. Thesis of its content responds to The Concept of Education and the Development of the Education System in the Czech Republic, was launched by Resolution No. 564/1990 on 31 March 2002. Thesis is further based on next accessible documents and analyses checking up on the other Region Authority and on the whole Czech Republic. These include analyse of the The Czech Pedagogic Society, The Council of Higher Educations Institutions, National Programme for the Development of Education in the Czech Republic (White Paper), Council of higher Education Institutions, Institute for the Research and Development of Education of the Fakulty of Education of Charles University attitude and participation in OECD activities in the field of education will be focused especially on projects dealing with schoul education in the future. Authorities appreciate fast acting and it doesn't possible until becoming acute by reason of the demographic decline and untenable cost growth. But today we are missing general method purposeful resolution this challenge. The thesis afford make its ambition on elimination of this problem and at the same time become guideline to opimalization's concepts in network of schools and environments.

The subject matter of this dissertation entitled "Dispute Settlement System in the World Trade Organization, developments and future prospects" is to examine dispute settlement system in the world trade, since the establishment of the World Trade Organization's predecessor - the GATT, until now. Besides the historical introduction into the area, the dissertation provides a comparison of these two consecutive systems and their main goals. Using available corresponding case law provided by panels and the Appellate Body, this dissertation covers the procedures and principles based on which the dispute settlement system currently stands. The secondary but not less important topic are the developing countries, their role in the system and inequality of the system related thereto. This inequality of the system lies mainly in the compliance issues. The dispute settlement system includes certain remedies in order to enforce the decisions and recommendations of the respective tribunals, but it is fair to say that they are not effective enough and tend to favour the developed countries. This dissertation also tries to find the solutions to the listed problems, mainly from the perspective of a proper compliance.

International Dispute Settlement - selected aspects Abstract This diploma thesis deals with selected aspects of the international dispute settlement not only in current international public law but also in its history. The thesis is divided into five chapters which are also further divided into a number of subchapters depending on the complexity of each topic. The first chapter is dedicated to the definition of international dispute. This diploma thesis deals with mediation as an instrument for ethnic conflict resolution in Africa. The author determined the feasibility and effectiveness of mediation as a tool for solving the ethnic conflict in Africa as the research topic of this thesis. The aim of the diploma thesis is to provide an evaluation of the current international legal regulation of mediation, of its sufficiency and integrity. Furthermore, the author aims to provide a comprehensive and complex view of the use of mediation in ethnic conflict resolution in Africa through an interdisciplinary analysis of the academic literature, both from Czech and foreign sources. The author sees her personal contribution by writing this thesis in the fact that in the Czech Republic the issue of mediation as a tool for ethnic conflict resolution has not been systematically researched yet. Mathematical competitions are structured according to pre-selected criteria. On the basis of a comparative analysis of the data obtained from mathematical competitions for elementary schools, it is possible to create a coherent picture of the current situation. With this context, the author advovates a relatively young Pangea mathematical competition. The main objective is to analyze data from the Pangea competition. Particular attention is paid to the tasks for the 4th year of the Pangea Primary School from the school round in the school year 2016/2017. The data obtained from 7 864 solverrs are analyzed both from the point of view of individual tasks and from the point of view of specific phenomena. Based on the data analysis, attention is paid to pupils' responses - the procedures for solving the individual tasks developed by 60 pupils of the 4th year of the 1st degree of non-selected schools. ZŠ - analýza řešení AUTOR: Anna Marek KATEDRA: Katedra matematiky a didaktiky matematiky VEDOUCÍ PRÁCE: PhDr. Michaela Kaslová ABSTRAKT: Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou matematických soutěží v České republice. Matematické soutěže jsou charakterizovány strukturovaně dle předem zvolených kritérií. Na základě srovnávací analýzy získaných dat z matematických soutěží pro základní školy je možné si vytvořit ucelenou představu o součastné situaci. Do tohoto kontextu autorka zasazuje relativně mladou matematickou soutěž Pangea. Hlavním cílem je analyzovat data ze soutěže Pangea. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována úlohám pro 4. ročník základní školy soutěže Pangea ze školního kola ve školním roce 2016/2017. Data získaná od 7 864 řešitelů jsou analyzována jak z pohledu jednotlivých úloh, tak z pohledu specifických jevů. Nový pohled přináší pozorování analýzy řešených úloh s analýzou dotazníků, které byly zadány 150 žákům 4. ročníků ze tří základních škol. Práce prezentuje řadu nových poznatků. Všech analýz lze využít jak při přípravě budoucích učitelů, tak při tvorbě úloh, tak v učitelské praxi při hodnocení a podpoře matematických soutěží. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou objasněny některé pojmy bezprostředně souvisící s problematikou trhu práce, nezaměstnaností, politikou zaměstnanosti a vymezeny orgány působící v oblasti zaměstnanosti. Zvláštní kapitola je zaměřena na absolventy. Praktická část je uvedena charakteristikou okresu Písek, popsáním nástrojů aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti, které nabízí Úřad práce v Písku absolventům. Dále jsou zde uvedena zjištění, jaké jsou problémy absolventů a bariéry jejich uplatnění na trhu práce na Písecku a jsou zpracovány analýzy nezaměstnanosti absolventů v okrese Písek. V závěrečné části jsou navržena některá řešení, která by mohla napomoci ke snížení či eliminaci problému nezaměstnanosti absolventů v tomto okrese.
