Univerzální řešení v gravitaci, elektrodynamice a neabelovských kalibračních teoriích / Universal solutions in gravity, electrodynamics and nonabelian gauge theories

Kuchynka, Martin January 2020 (has links)
The presented thesis spans over a number of related topics with a com- mon theme - the so-called universality. Classical fields exhibiting this property serve as exact solutions to virtually any higher-order theory irrespective of the particular form of the field equations, being thus of particular interest in ef- fective field theories. The aim of this work is to study various aspects of such solutions in the context of gravity, electrodynamics, as well as more general nonabelian gauge theories. The results are concentrated in four chapters, the first of which is devoted to what we call the almost universal spacetimes. Due to their nice curvature properties, these spacetimes provide an efficient method for simplifying and solving the field equations of higher-order gravity theories. We illustrate this feature of almost universal metrics by finding new vacuum solutions to quadratic gravity and six-dimensional conformal gravity. In the second chapter, we shift our attention towards electrodynamics. Following up on recent results on universal electromagnetic fields, we deal with Einstein- Maxwell fields which simultaneously solve also any higher-order modification of the Einstein-Maxwell theory. In particular, we identify solutions with this remarkable property as plane-fronted gravitational and...

Žákovské strategie řešení úloh na ZŠ a SŠ / Pupils' problem solving strategies at lower and upper secondary level

Hoffmann, Jan January 2018 (has links)
This thesis Pupils' problem solving strategies at lower and upper secondary level brings a focus on the issue outlined by the name. At the same time, it focuses on pupils' strategies to solve problems that are closely related to information literacy. At first I define basic terms for the area of word problems. Consecutively I focus on the theoretical knowledge from the area of problem solving strategies themselves. The content of the experimental part of the thesis is the survey of pupils' solutions of eight selected tasks, by which I was looking for an answer of the three basic questions of this thesis. My experiment is divided into two branches. The first branch of the experiment took place at the lower level of the multi-year grammar schools. The second branch of the experiment took place at the higher grade of the multi-year grammar schools and, to a small extent, at the secondary school. The theoretical part contains views of various authors on issue of problems and word problems. I present and compare these individual approaches. The result is the demarcation of the terms needed for the experimental part of the work. The main aim of the experimental part of the thesis is to find the answers of three basic questions of this thesis, where I was using data from lower and higher grades of...

Řešení sporů v rámci WTO s přihlédnutím k výkonu rozhodnutí / Dispute resolution within WTO with regard to the enforcement of decisions

Machátová, Mariana January 2015 (has links)
Resume This thesis aims to evaluate the WTO dispute settlement system that deals with disputes arising between WTO members. It focuses on the final stage of this process, i.e. the compliance process and the judgement enforcement process. The main objective is to answer the question whether the methods of judgement enforcement are effective and successful and assess any shortcomings and offer possible solutions to overcome these shortcomings. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the opening passage the role of World Trade Organization is introduced as well as the need for a dispute resolution system and the main principles governing the system. Various WTO bodies involved in the decision-making process are also described in detail. The following three chapters deal with the dispute resolution process and procedure rules provided under the Dispute Settlement Understanding (DSU). The thesis explores all of the procedural stages of the dispute settlement and also all relevant procedural steps undertaken by the participants. These are not limited to the complainant and to the respondent but also encompass third parties and WTO bodies. The fourth and the fifth chapter of this thesis are dedicated to the compliance process and the judgement enforcement process either by means of compensation or suspension...

Řešení sporů v rámci WTO / Conflict resolution within WTO

Voglová, Andreya January 2012 (has links)
The object of this work is first to describe evolution of the World Trade Organisation dispute settlement system, which originates from the dispute settlement system under the international agreement GATT 47. Originally it was the diplomatic system without explicit legal regulation, which changed into developed system based on legal regulation of the World Trade Organisation. Next part of this work consists of the analyse of current system regulated by the Dispute Settlement Understanding. The obligatory consultations remain a part of this system. If the agreement is not reached during the consultations, the two-stage proceeding by the panel of experts and by the Appellate Body takes part. The final part of the proceeding is implementation of the decision. Currently the review of the system is in process and many discussions on this issue takes place under WTO, so far with no conclusion. The last part of this work focuses on Banana case III.

Mathematical analysis of equations describing the flow of compressible heat conducting fluids / Mathematical analysis of equations describing the flow of compressible heat conducting fluids

Axmann, Šimon January 2016 (has links)
Title: Mathematical analysis of equations describing the flow of compressible heat conducting fluids Author: Šimon Axmann Department: Mathematical Institute of Charles University Supervisor: doc. Mgr. Milan Pokorný, Ph.D., Mathematical Institute of Charles University Abstract: The present thesis is devoted to the mathematical analysis of equa- tions describing the flow of viscous compressible newtonian fluid in various time regimes. In particular, we present existence results for three problems arising as special cases of a general model derived in the introductory part. The first chap- ter deals with time-periodic solutions to the full Navier-Stokes-Fourier system for heat-conducting fluid. The second chapter contains the proof of existence of steady solutions to a system arising from phase field model for two-phase com- pressible fluid. Finally, in the last section we study steady strong solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations under the additional assumption that the fluid is suffi- ciently dense. For each problem a different concept of the solution is considered, on the other hand in all cases an essential role is played by the crucial quantity effective viscous flux. Keywords: compressible Navier-Stokes system; weak solution; entropy variational solution; large data

Posouzení jednotlivých navržených možností revitalizace plochy brownfieldu / Assessment of particular proposed possibilities of brownfield locality restorarion

KŘTĚNSKÁ, Dagmar January 2018 (has links)
The thesis "The assessment of particular proposed possibilities to revitalize a selected brownfield site" is made of two parts. The first one is theoretical and defines the term brownfield and other linked terms, the division and possibilities of revitalization. The second part is practical. It specifies the selected location and deals with the history of the property and its brownfield. It works out the consecutive possible revitalization of the area. An important part of the thesis makes a comparison with other chosen brownfield sites - Chýnov and Žirovnice breweries.

Návrh cyklostezky v okolí obce Kamenný Újezd. / Proposal for a cycling trail in the vicinity of Kamenný Újezd village

DOBNEROVÁ, Karla January 2009 (has links)
The main objective of my thesis was to project a design of a concrete chosen section of the cycling trail in the vicinity of the village of Kamenný Újezd, which is located in Southern Bohemia, south-west of České Budějovice. I propose two alternative cycling trails in accordance with the applicable standards, laws and technical conditions. A better alternative in terms of transport, economy, ecology and aesthetics, I elaborated to the phase of documentation for the notification of the construction of road according to Decree 104/1997 Sb.. In the project, I propose a direction solution, vertical solutions, width layout, road construction, earthworks, drainage, equipment and traffic signs. I analyzed property relations in the proposed cycling route and existing bicycle trails in the given locality. I suggested a cycling communication, which is multifunctional, therefore not only used by cyclists but also pedestrians, in-line skaters, and when appropriate, for occasional agricultural transport.

Reorganizace - nový způsob řešení úpadku / Reorganization - new way of bankruptcy resolution

Valenta, Petr January 2008 (has links)
The thesis summarizes the legislation of reorganization as a method of bankruptcy resolution. First of all, the historical development of bankruptcy law in our country is described, as well as the current legislation, established primarily by the Insolvency Act and other regulations. The economic reasons for reorganization implementation are analyzed subsequently and the very principles of the reorganization process are thoroughly examined. Various methods of unliquidated bankruptcy resolution in selected countries are briefly covered in the next section of the paper. Conclusion of the thesis highlights the most relevant information about reorganization and points out problematic situations, which may occur in connection with it.
