The purpose of my research was to determine the level of motor skills and school readiness in preschool and primary school children. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals with development of motor skills, school maturity and characteristics of preschool and primary school period. Practical part includes the results of testing fine motor skills and rough motor ability using the assesment of the test of the school readiness. in English The thesis focuses on problematics of child jokes at a primary and a lower secondary school. Its aim is to study and analyze how child jokes work and how they develop across different grades of the primary and the lower secondary school. The thesis is based on empirical research of qualitative nature with transversal overlap. Data was obtained in a use of the following qualitative methods: group interviews and analysis of artefacts (jokes). Another analysis (qualitative and quantitative) and an interpretation of the materials followed. All the finding were then compared with a known literature. The written work consists of three main parts. Theoretical part is based on concepts of Sigmund Freud, Martha Wolfenstein, the cognitive psychologists and the linguists. The second part of the thesis describes metodology of the research and analysis of the data. The main result of the research is a classification scheme of different techniques of construction of child jokes' points. The classification takes in a consideration a connection with developmental trends and gender differences across the different grades of the primary and the lower secondary school. The thesis called The Ways of Presentation of Mathematics in the 7th Grade of Montessori School provides with a description and detailed analysis of Montessori principles with regards to their use and fulfilling tasks during lessons of mathematics at Montessori Schools. Its further aim is to check out in the course of lessons if the three Montessori principles - discovering of facts by an individual, work with mistake and individual approach - are being applied during the presentations of new topics to the 7th grade students of Montessori school. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with establishing of educational areas of mathematics and its application within the "The Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education" and description of current trends in mathematics, didactic constructivism represented by Hejný and Kuřina. The content of this Diploma Thesis is represented by the view and opinions of children on the problems of the bullying behaviour. The thesis includes both theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the thesis explains some scientific concepts related to bullying, it presents the forms and views on bullying, it adverts to the direct and indirect signs, that can help the family or the school reveal the fact of existing chicane. The work also deals with the causes of bullying behaviour, and tries to find out how school can prevent and possibly resolve bullying. In this thesis, we can find the particular stages of bullying, the most frequent locations where bullying takes place, the risks and consequences that all come with bullying as well. Titled ''Apprehension of Ethics in the practice of Czech teachers'', my Master's Thesis opens with elaborating on the term ''competention'' as the objective of education in the 21st century. Putting the ethic education in the European context, I then investigate the practical teaching cases in particular countries. The existing concepts of T. Lickona, M. Berkowitz and R.R. Olivar are described in the third chapter. After that the ethic education in the Czech Republic comes in to the focus; with a special attention being given to its institutional framework. The chapter number four analyses a teacher of the ethic education; it explores further options for ethic education in offer; and the selection of various teaching materials that differ among each other in their ethical and philosophical approaches and learnings. Using the phenomenological method, the last part of the Thesis presents a qualitative research on the various approaches taken by the teachers of ethic education. It particularly focuses on how the teacher's personal value system is projected in the education process and thus affects opinions and values of her students.

This thesis deals with the relationship between family and school at the beginning of primary school. The theoretical part defines the matters of the cooperation between family and school, it explains terms like family, school and the relationship between them. Next it deals with historical roots of the relationship, conditions for the effective cooperation between family and school and specifications in curriculum together with some educational plans and initiatives. The practical parts presents varied research which is focused on the concrete level of the cooperation between family and school at the beginning of primary school and which is marked by the sign Parents are welcome. The evaluative instrument is Survey for parents, results of it create the base for the interview with the head teacher of the school. Complementary research finds the opinions of the teachers in the matter of the cooperation between family and school. The results of the research proved that the quality of the cooperation between the family and school at this grammar school is at high level. Title: Project Tennis School in Krasnodar Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current situation in the field of tennis services primarily for children in Krasnodar. Based on the analysis will be drawn conclusions for the proposal of establishing a tennis school, furthermore, a business plan together with a financial plan will be elaborated. Finally, the project will be subjected to a risk analysis and final recommendation will be made. Methods: With respect the market analysis, it was conducted secondary market analysis, based on the results obtain from the Tennis Federation of Russia research. In addition, financial analysis was performed, which is used to evaluate the overall project. Results: In the context of financial planning, it was found that costs and revenues in the first year of operation the company is almost equal and therefore profitability will not be too high. However, during the evaluation of the project, it came clear that the project wouldn't have financial loss, unless particular attention will be made to minimize the risks that have been identified in connection with business activities in the tennis school. TITLE: Developing handwriting in a multicultural environment AUTHOR: Jana Kolafová DEPARTMENT: Primary Education Department SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jan Voda, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis aimed to determine early development of handwriting in multicultural environment. The theoretical part investigates Czech and English writing systems, school scripts, curricular documents, instructional methods and identifies today's trends in developing handwriting in language comparison. In addition, it provides conceptual models of bilingual learning, specific linguistic features of both languages as well as their role in biliteracy and its acquiring. The main purpose of the empirical part was to answer the question: How do students acquire handwriting in Czech and English language when attending bilingual school. 2-year-long research was based on collecting handwritten works of first graders and their later qualitative analysis. The findings revealed how to connect and support two different methodology worlds of early handwriting and defined problems the students face when acquiring handwriting bilingually. The purpose of my thesis is to present possible influence of trendy things to prestige, in the ninth grade of city primary school. The goal of this thesis is to identify the social structure of the students' group, to map the value orientation of the students, to identify their trendy things, and to connect all these findings. The thesis tries to answer the question of the influence of trendy things to the prestige in this students' group, and find out whether in this group of students exists the materialization of prestige. The text is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on pointing out the main aspects of the topic of trendy things, adolescence, materialism and prestige. These topics are analysed in the context of psychology and partly sociology, antropology and education as well. Empirical part, in addition to the description of objectives, methods, research sample and environment, pays particular attention to analysis of its own data of quality-oriented research with the support of several quantitative methods. First, it describes the social hierarchy of students in terms of their degree of influence, popularity and prestige, and identifies their sub-groups. Position of that subject in Czech education system is clarified in the theoretical part, as well as some educational programs and initiatives focusing on this domain of a teacher's work. The practical part presents action research, which is focused on the reflection of my own work experience. It explores possibilities of specific methods and forms of cooperation of class teacher with parents according to an analysis of effectiveness of cooperation between family and school evaluation tool of "Competent Educators of the 21st Century: ISSA's Definition of Quality Pedagogy". This research confirmed that the parents welcome any offer to closer involment in school education and choose the kind of cooperation that best suits their needs and abilities.
