The thesis follows the emergence of Joseph Brodsky`s work in the Czech Republic, it comments on the very first publications. The author enumerates and describes all of the Czech translations: poetic and prosaic (essays, dramas and dialogues) . Present work proposes very detailed analysis of translated poetry (translations were made by different authors from 1960`s till nowadays), characterizes stylistic approaches, methods of translation and provides comparison. The author gives information about Saint-Petersburg`s meetings of Joseph Brodsky and Václav Daněk - Czech poet and his further translator. On the basis of interviews, dialogues and memoires of the contemporaries the work illustrates poet`s attitude to famous people of Czech culture; it also mentions poetic translations of Joseph Brodsky made from Czech language. The work demonstrates Brodsky`s opinion on the creation of good translation. Also the author presents a number of Czech articles devoted to Josepf Brodsky and his work.

The subject matter of the present paper is the culture of the Russian nobility and its image in the 19th century Russian literature. The aim of the thesis is to study the issue of the closeness of the nobility to the Russian nation's culture. The theoretical part of the paper deals with the history of the nobility: its formation, advancement and prosperity. The concepts of «culture», «Russian culture» and their constituents are explored in the thesis next. This part is aimed at analyzing the main elements of the noble class' culture. A philological analysis of the two 19th century literary works, namely «Eugene Onegin» by A.S. Pushkin and «War and Peace» by L.N. Tolstoy, is conducted in the third chapter to identify the elements of the nobility's culture. After the spheres of culture have been established they were analyzed, namely the relation between the upper class' culture and the culture of the whole Russian nation; education and upbringing; everyday culture; life conditions; matters of marriage, family, love and relationships; leisure and social life; the notion of the manor as the center of the countryside culture. Материал исследования составили 93 фразеологизма (их них 50 английских и 43 русских) из таких источников, как книга «350 Idioms with Their Origin, or The Idiomatic Cake You Can Eat and Have It Too» Л. Ф. Шитовой, краткий русско-английский фразеологический словарь под авторством Гуревич В. В., а также такие сайты, как «Идиомы на пяти языках», «Мир фразеологизмов», «Мои пословицы», «The Idioms», «Idioms online», «Eslcafe» и «Native English». В первой главе рассматриваются теоретические вопросы и понятия, такие как эмоция, базовая эмоция, лингвистика эмоций, концепт, семантические примитивы, а также описываются различные классификации базовых эмоций. Вторая глава посвящена сопоставительному анализу базовых эмоций на материале соматических фразеологизмов двух лингвокультур. Для анализа фразеологизмов был использован ряд классификаций, в том числе категоризация В. В. Виноградова, разделяющая фразеологизмы на три категории: фразеологические сращения, фразеологические единства и фразеологические сочетания; категоризация с точки зрения типов межъязыковой эквивалентности В. С. Виноградова. Для анализа базовых эмоций рассматривались значения эмотивов с помощью фреймового подхода А. Вежбицкой, а также толкования слов по Большому словарю Д. Н. Ушакова и Cambridge English Corpus. По каждому из параметров представлены сравнительные количественные наблюдения в виде диаграмм и таблиц. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы в лексикографической практике, например, для расширения толкового словаря эмотивной лексики за счет выявленной национальной специфики языкового образа эмоций русских и англичан. В приложении приводится список использованных в работе соматических фразеологизмов на английском и русском языках. / The work is dedicated to identifying the similarities and differences in the expression of basic emotions (joy, fear, embarrassment/discomfort) in the English and Russian linguocultures. The research material consisted of 93 phraseological units (of which 50 are English and 43 are Russian) from sources such as the book “350 Idioms with Their Origin, or The Idiomatic Cake You Can Eat and Have It Too” by L. F. Shitova, a short Russian-English phraseological dictionary by V. V. Gurevich, as well as such websites as “Idioms in five languages”, “The world of phraseological units”, “My proverbs”, “The Idioms”, “Idioms online”, “Eslcafe” and “Native English”. The first chapter deals with theoretical issues and concepts such as emotion, basic emotion, emotion linguistics, concept, semantic primitives, and considers various classifications of basic emotions. In the second chapter, a comparative analysis of basic emotions is carried out on the material of somatic phraseological units of two linguistic cultures. For the analysis of phraseological units, a number of classifications were used, including V.V. Vinogradov's categorization which divides phraseological units into three categories: phraseological adhesions, phraseological unity and phraseological combinations; categorization from the point of view of types of interlanguage equivalence by V.S. Vinogradov. To analyze basic emotions, the meanings of emotives were considered using the frame approach of A. Wierzbicka, as well as the interpretation of words according to the Big Dictionary of D. N. Ushakov and Cambridge English Corpus. For each of the parameters, comparative quantitative observations are presented in the form of diagrams and tables. The research results can be used in lexicographic practice, for example, to expand the explanatory dictionary of emotive vocabulary due to the revealed national specifics of the linguistic image of the emotions of the Russian and the English speakers. Магистерская диссертация посвящена сравнению фразеологизмов с названиями насекомых в русском и китайском языках и их перевод. Цель исследования: выявить сходства и различия русских и китайских фразеологизмах с названиями насекомых с точки зрения лингвистики и лингвокультурологии; сопоставить эквивалентности при переводе фразеологизмов в двух языках; обобщить способы перевода фразеологизмов. Структура работы состоит из двух глав: теоретической и практической. В теоретической части рассматриваются основные подходы к пониманию фразеологизма и его особенности в русском и китайском языках, концепт «насекомое» в китайской и русской фразеологии, сопоставительное изучение фразеологии в России и Китае и проблемы перевода фразеологизма. В практической части анализируются семантики русских и китайских фразеологизмов с названиями насекомых и эквивалентности при их переводе. В результате анализа выявлены как универсальные, так и национально-культурные черты фразеологии двух языков, а также нашли эквиваленты и обобщили методы перевода фразеологических единиц. Данная работа вносит определённый вклад в изучение проблем лексикологии, лингвокультурологии и переводоведения о фразеологизмах, и его результаты могут быть использованы при изучении этих дисциплин. / The master dissertation is devoted to the comparison of idioms with the names of insects in Russian and Chinese and their translation. The purposes of the study is to identify the similarities and differences between Russian and Chinese idioms with the names of insects from the point of view of linguoculturalism; compare the equivalences when translating these idioms in two languages; generalize the ways of translation of idioms. The structure of the work consists of two chapters: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part examines the main approaches to understanding “idioms” and its features in Russian and Chinese, the concept of "insect" in Chinese and Russian phraseology, the comparative study of idioms in Russia and China and the problems of idioms’ translation. The practical part analyzes the semantics of Russian and Chinese idioms with the names of insects and equivalences in their translation. As a result of the analysis, both universal and national-cultural features of the idioms of the two languages were identified, equivalents were founded and the methods of translating idioms were also summarized. This work makes a certain contribution to the study of the problems of lexicology, linguoculturology and translation studies about phraseological units, and its results can be used in the study of these disciplines.
