本文主要係探討固定資產投資的理論及其實例之應用：固定資產投資亦稱資本支出， 本文係以船舶投資為例，由於船舶投資金額龐大，而其投資收回年限亦長，因而投資 需要作長期的規劃。諸如資金來源之籌措分為舉借債務、發行股票、公司債等，而其 各別資金成本之求算，以明瞭企業所負擔的資金成本。而企業從事投資其報酬率必需 大於資金成本始可從事投資，而投資報酬率之求算，首先必須先行衡量當前預測未來 的經濟因素，以預估年年的運費收入。同時亦需考量其營運成本，以求算其報酬率。 此外，如折舊、現金流出入……等因素亦應加以考慮。 本文係就現有理論，予以實例之應用，以作為企業投資的參考，並提出個人的看法及 建議。
