有關本論文在時間的斷限上，是從一八九五年（甲午戰爭結束）至一九三一年（九一
八事變爆發），計分六章十節。
第一章前言。說明研究動機、宗旨、已有的研究結果、研究方法、資料限制等。
第二章日本對華文化政策的形成與演變。探討日本大陸政策與對華文化政策的關係，
以及對華文化政策的演變。
第三章教育事業。探討有關在華日本教師（教習）的回題及日本在華教育事業的概況
。
第四章布教活動。敘述日本佛教在華的布教活動之發展，並探討布教權的問題。
第五章日本在華文教活動的分析與評詁。從分佈情形、數量比較及經費的來源與應用
數方面來分析，最後並針對活動的結果，予以評估。
第六章結論。綜論日本在華文教活動。
