Obraz americké filmové tvorby v československých médiích 70.let / Reflection of the American Movie Production in the Czechoslovak Media during 1970's.

Šlechtová, Věnceslava January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis The image of American Movie Production in Czechoslovak Media of 1970's focuses on how the Czechoslovak media in the 1970's created the public perception of movies which had come from the American distribution to Czechoslovakia or were projected in the cinemas among the years 1970-1979. This thesis analyzes the manner in which selected national print media, influenced by the political trends, being partly designed for the general public (daily newspaper Rudé právo, Lidová demokracie) and partly addressed to specific target groups (film periodical Film a doba, Filmový přehled, Kino), reflected the issue and the contribution of individual movies; all of that under specific political and cultural circumstances. The main theme is the usage of the movie production and its presentation as a contemporary propaganda tool. The analytic part is based on examination of several articles and reviews found in some selected media and connected to the movies or its actors and makers. The analysis is focused on important arguments and assessments in the frame of the contemporary political development. The comparison of how the issue was perceived by the daily newspapers and by the film journals hopes to bring a new aspect and a new point of view to the film and history studies. .

Sovětská filmová komedie konce 60. a 70. let / Soviet Film Comedy of the Late 60's and the 70's

Něudačina, Natalija January 2019 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is a genre analysis of Soviet film comedies of the late 60s and the 70s that is based on the reception and production history data. The aim of this research is to grasp this type of comedy as a specific political and socially-cultural phenomenon of the Eastern bloc and its relation to Soviet popular culture. A methodology of the genre analysis will derive from Rick Altman's semantic-syntactic approach, which will allow us to describe the chosen genre group as a complex genre trend set in the unique social, cultural, economic and in this particular case also ideological context, to follow the development and fluidity of the genre trend, as well as to find and to compare mutual attributes of the chosen films. The analysis will not be based solely on the group of the most watched films, but also on the production data focusing mostly on the films' budget, as well as dramaturgic supervision and censorship. Another part of the diploma thesis will be based on the gathered reception data such as contemporary media response and viewer ratings, focusing on the important role that Soviet film comedies played in the period and partially continue to play in the present-day Russian popular culture. Fusion of all analytic parts shall bring us to the basic definition of the Soviet film...

He participated actively in the tropicalism movement in music and in the marginal or underground movie production. He also used the press, a privileged medium, to debate and explicit the context in which he was living. From the analysis of Torquato Neto s life s path and discourse, this work aimed at problematizing the Brazilian cultural production during the period of authoritarianism and at discussing the proposals for a renewed Brazilian popular music, the debate among artists and intellectuals, and the various forms of resistance. The research was carried out using the following sources of information: song lyrics, three newspaper columns - Música Popular, published in the Sports newspaper in 1967, Plug, published in Correio da Manhã in 1970, and Geléia Geral, published in Última Hora also in 1970. Other sources were letters, notes, poems, and images about the tropicalism movement found on record covers, in O Estado de São Paulo, Folha de São Paulo and Folha da Tarde newspapers, and in Veja magazine. Videos which registered the stage performance of the movement participants were also used. It is possible to conclude that, during the period of time when increasing measures were taken to curtail freedoms and to repress, a number of artists and intellectuals resisted that arbitrariness and protested against the established order, using the defense that Creating is resisting. They marginally produced, searched for alternative spaces and a new aesthetic language. They displayed anarchic behavior in relation to political and cultural order. They revendicated freedom in every aspect of life, and Torquato Neto was the spokesman of this defense movement / A pesquisa ora apresentada privilegiou como objeto de estudo Torquato de Araújo Neto. RODRIGO ALEXANDRE DE CARVALHO XAVIER 31 January 2018 (has links)
[en] The present work aims to present some questions that involve Eça de Queirós s trajectory in the construction of his literary production during the second half of the 18th century, by analyzing the modernization project of Portugal used by the writer, in order to accomplish his initial purpose, announced in the Conferences of the Casino: to regenerate Portugal through literature, whose main marks are denunciation and intervention. Starting from the analysis of texts, produced from 1871 to 1888, the thesis attempts to investigate the role of the intellectual played by Eça de Queirós. Through the bitter criticism of his first phase, along with the fine irony of his riper romances, Eça inaugurates the Portuguese modern romance, as part of his project of turning Portugal into a recognized European nation. The sarcastic laughter, the ambiguity and the gallery of typically Portuguese characters are marks of his style, and offer a fundamental tool to the evidence of his role as an intellectual in the arts of Portugal in the 18th century.
