Um circuito para a possibilidade: as revistas de poesia na década de 70 / Some way: poetry's magazines of the 70's

Clarissa Rodrigues Freitas 13 March 2013 (has links)
The poetry magazines of the 70s are an important object of study, search through them to understand how this literary production articulates with the historical and cultural content, but mainly as a fundamental analysis of this production is to show how to articulate and mixed trends poetics of the '70s. Something Wicked This Way Comes: A Problematic Paradigm for Design in Times of Crisis

Mehl, Johanna 21 January 2025 (has links)
SOCIAL INNOVATION AND DESIGN CHALLENGES:Part 1: Men of Action Complex Systems, messy Worlds The Black Box Part 2: The concealment strategy Problems have never been wicked Design Literacy References / This paper offers a close reading of Horst Rittel’s and Melvin Webber’s often cited, yet rarely challenged or historically situated publication on wicked problems «Dilemmas in a General Theory of Planning,» published in 1973. My aim is to (1) lay out the consequences of understanding problems of social policy as wicked – a quality that evades naming actors responsible and marks problems as inevitable and unknowable and (2) historicize some of the assumptions that developed under the rubric of wickedness by examining the political, social, and cultural conditions in which wicked problems were conceived. I am invested in a denaturalization of design fixes as a predominant design response to crisis by contemplating the (unintended) consequences of adopting wickedness as a design paradigm.:Part 1: Men of Action Complex Systems, messy Worlds The Black Box Part 2: The concealment strategy Problems have never been wicked Design Literacy References

Le contrôle qualité de la synthèse protéique comme cible pour le développement de nouveaux antibiotiques / Quality control of protein synthesis as a target for developing new antibiotics

Macé, Kévin 24 November 2016 (has links)
The current PhD work brings together various studies linked to bacterial protein synthesis. The first chapter is about the origins of protein synthesis at the time of the RNA world. This theoretical work continues with the presentation of a high-resolution structure of the elongation factor G (EF-G) in complex with the ribosome by cryo-electron transmission microscopy (cryo-TEM). We describe for the first time EF-G bound to the ribosome in the absence of any inhibitor. This particular structure of EF-G displays a yet unseen positioning of its third domain, which becomes very flexible. This study helps to understand the way the antibiotic fusidic acid blocks translation. The work then switches to a study of trans-translation, the main rescuing system of stalled ribosomes in bacteria. Trans-translation is generally vital or at least necessary for bacterial virulence. We conducted a preliminary structural study on the way faulty mRNAs are degraded during this process. This is why we present a study of trans-translation as a target for the development of new antibiotics. For this we developed and validated a reporter system for trans-translation, which is used to screen molecules targeting trans-translation.

Fundamentální malba: Vznik, charakteristika, kořeny a význam / Fundamental Painting: Birth, Characteristics, Formal Roots and Significance

Rajlich, Claudia January 2013 (has links)
Title: Fundamental Painting Author: Claudia Rajlich Department: Institute of Art History Supervisor: Prof. PhDr. Vojtěch Lahoda, CSc. Abstract: This dissertation wishes to define fundamental painting - a term which was coined and a current which was defined by the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam in the form of a show of 18 artists of different nationalities in 1975. Like the show, it wishes to give a clear view of a specific new kind of painting of the 1970s, which is "a reflection on the foundations of painting."1 The core of Fundamental Painting is formed by the four painters of American Minimal Art and the show based on a text concerning their work (upon which innumerable texts have been written since). This dissertation focuses on the European part of this "common mentality" as the curators call it, which remains unresearched until today. Its scope is to define: What was it, where did it come from and was it at all? The research is limited to artists in the show (although we conclude that a few should be replaced by others), historical evidence concerning new painting in the 1970s, the critical analysis of texts, artists statements and, above all, the undeniable documentation in the form of the body of works themselves. The existence of Fundamental Painting is proven, its characteristics determined in...

Řízení a kontrola regionálních médií v Československu v 70. a 80. letech 20. století na příkladu informování o kulturních událostech pardubického okresu / Directing and control of regional media in Czechoslovakia in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century based on the example of media reflection of culture events in Pardubice district

Skalecká, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
This dissertation thesis addresses the history of public relations of the Communist Party in Czechoslovakia in Pardubice district. It is focussed at the period of so-called normalization. Firstly, it discusses the historical context of the time for understanding the crisis of the system in 70s and 80s. The first chapters describe so-called Prague spring and military invasion in August 1968. Next chapters stress changes in politics and media after the election of Gustáv Husák to become First Secretary of the Communist Party in April, 1969. The second part of text is case study about Pardubice district. The main topic of dissertation thesis are newspaper of Pardubice district - Zář. But there are also chapters about radio, factory newspaper, regional Union of Czech Journalists or College in Pardubice and editors of student magazine. In the second part of case study attention is focussed on cultural section of newspaper Zář and its main topics - for example political anniversaries and the role of culture. In cultural section I analyze which information and how they were, or were not presented to public. Supervision and control over the media content was one of the main regime's tools to take over the culture area and its presentation.

"Solidariteten, det vackra i denna strid...". Spelet om Norbergsstrejken 1891-92 : En studie i arbetarkultur / "Solidarity, the Beauty of this Strife...". The Play about the Norberg Strike 1891-92 : A study of working-class culture

Testad, Gunnel January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is a monograph on The Play about the Norberg Strike 1891–92, a pioneering project and performance relating to working-class cultural expressions. The project was initiated in the summer of 1975, and the first successful performances were held in June and July 1977. The democracy of cultural life was very positively manifested in The Play and in Swedish media, it was described as the first working-class play. It served as a model for other similar productions, set in many places in Sweden. The investigation began with field studies, which facilitated the choice of a suitable theory. A starting-point was that a specific working-class culture exists, subordinated to the dominant middle class culture. Social class distinction is an underlying concept for hegemony, and also for the spanning theoretical framework used in my investigation. It comprises a public sphere theory, formulated by Oskar Negt and Alexander Kluge in their book Öffentlichkeit und Erfahrung (1972). Their concept counter-public sphere is applied to The Play. The main purpose was to describe the characteristic features of The Play, by delineating and analysing the production phase, particularly the aesthetically elaborated parts, i.e. the script production, the staging, the performance, and the reception, all consistent with the working-class culture and the local conditions in Norberg. A more subordinated purpose was to complete the common definition of the term working-class play. The Play about the Norberg Strike succeeded in putting the negative influences of the bourgeois public sphere aside, replacing it with positive categories. The work processes were of vital importance, as was the forming of new platforms and communication channels based on the local working-class experiences and lives. Consequently, The Play became a genuine expression and a solid breakthrough for working-class experiences.

Dvougenerační dům na Slovensku / Two-generation housing in Slovakia

Šebová, Petra January 2018 (has links)
The proposal deals with the topic of living in multi-generational family houses built in Slovakia in the 1970’s. Despite the former ability of the owners to adapt the original architects’ plan towards their own preferences, nowadays they feel discomfort using the house. The image of multi-generational usage of the house turned out to be false over the time. Currently the houses are only partially inhabited and the demanding maintenance of the large house is increasingly difficult for its original inhabitants, who are usually already retired. The project suggests transformation of the large family houses into flats while at the same time presents an alternative to the development of municipal housing in the village, currently planned by local authorities.

Escola de arte Brasil, depois de dois pontos uma experiência artística (e social) depois de 1968 / Escola de Arte Brasil: (two points). An artistic and social experience after 1968

Santos, Thais Assunção 04 April 2012 (has links)
This work is about Escola de arte Brasil: (two points), one institution founded by four artistis from São Paulo: Luiz Paulo Baravelli, Frederico Nasser, Carlos Fajardo and José Resende, that before studied with Wesley Duke Lee. The Escola existed between 1970 and 1974 in São Paulo. The four founders were on the 60s architecture students; three of them participated of Rex Gallery & Sons, created by Geraldo de Barros, Nelson Leirner and Duke Lee. The gallery got them in touch whit the Brazilian artistic environment and pleading, specially with the scene from São Paulo. The conceptual assumptions and the social experience of the Escola Brasil: presents points of intersection with artistic (and cultural) experiences and projects situated between the decades of 50s and the 70s, two highlights of the Brazilian modernization process; and this is the temporal axis, historical, that this work try to situate critically its existence. The main links of relation between the Escola and this temporal axis are the tunings that presents, both from the point of view of artistic production as the teaching experience, with the constructive project and with the Tropicalismo.
