Examination of the advantageousness of the AEO certification to NORMA Sweden AB

Trompeter, Philipp, Melin, Paavo January 2016 (has links)
NORMA Sweden AB is part of NORMA Group, a global market and technology leader in engineered joining technology. The Swedish business unit, NORMA Sweden, trades with various internal and external customers in different customs territories. In order to facilitate this, the management is considering to attain the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification that allows for customs facilitations. The AEO program consists of the AEO-C and AEO-S certification. Those two certifications can be achieved independently, they have different barriers and create different benefits. The extent to that these general benefits and barriers create benefits and barriers in a specific company varies a lot depending on the individual supply chain settings of the organisation. The purpose of this thesis is to assess the advantage of the AEO-C and the AEO-S certification to NORMA Sweden. In order to achieve a comprehensive result, the benefits and barriers of the AEO certifications to NORMA Sweden are analysed in the context of the company’s strategy and the drivers for the AEO application. A Framework is developed to conduct the examination. It allows to appraise the benefits and barriers of the certification that are combined into different impact areas. This is accomplished by a quantitative analysis that is based on a simplified scale of 0-3. The results are verified by a subsequent qualitative analysis. The Analysis has been conducted under consideration of literature, customs guidelines and empirical information that has been gathered by expert interviews as well as by observations. The results of the quantitative analysis indicate that both certifications are currently not beneficial to NORMA Sweden. Further, it is obvious that the gap between barriers and benefits is smaller for the AEO-C certification as it is for the AEO-S certification. The qualitative analysis reveals that NORMA Sweden should aim for an AEO certification anyway due to the strategy of the parent company and expected future developments. Following the findings of the quantitative and qualitative analysis the company is advised to aim for the AEO-C certification first.

Hodnocení vlivu vybraných agroenvironmentálních opatření a krajinných prvků na avifaunu

Slavkovský, Radim January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this study, named Assessment of the influence of selected agri-environment measures and landscape elements on avifauna, was a predetermined area to carry out the mapping of bird species in view of to farmland birds depending on their implemented or performed agri-environment measures and the creation of new landscape elements. For the determination of the impact of the measures on individual species has been used relative point method. By using this method was the mapping of the observed total of 453 an individuals in 37 species, among whichThe influence of these measures. Of the 14 species marked for the purposes of this work as farmland birds has been observed 10 kinds. Both types of measures showed effects on species composition and abundance of bird populations in the study area. Deduce the effect of these measures on bird populations agricultural landscape of long-term and global perspective, but not with regard to short-term data can be gathered. In that area it will be necessary to continue the ornithological surveys and evaluate the impact of individual measures in the longer term.

Achieving Agility in Evacuation Operations: An Evidence-Based Framework

Rodríguez-Espíndola, O., Despoudi, S., Albores, P., Sivarajah, Uthayasankar 26 March 2019 (has links)
Yes / There is an agreement among European countries about the need to achieve efficient, effective and responsive evacuations as part of disaster management. Evacuations face uncertain and dynamic conditions, which often challenge the expectations at the planning stage. This research looks at the adoption of agility in evacuation operations. Managers involved in disaster operations in three countries were interviewed to identify current practices and needs during evacuations. This article looks at the potential of beneficiary engagement, staff and information, cooperation, and fitness for change to incorporate agile practices at each one of the stages of evacuation planning. The purpose is to provide an Agile Evacuation Operations (AEO) evidence-based framework to inform theory and practice. The analysis provided shows that along with current practices it is important to engage the beneficiaries more closely, empower and train the staff to react to unexpected conditions, and take advantage of local knowledge to enhance operations. / The data collection was funded with the support of the European Commission, Directorate-General Home Affairs.

Analýza dopadu vývoje změn dotační politiky na finanční situaci zemědělských podniků / Modification of subsidy policy and its impact on financial health of agricultural companies

KUNDRÁTOVÁ, Jana January 2009 (has links)
This thesis focused on examination of influence of changes structure and volume of grants on financial situation of selected farming companies. In the first part, the history of SZP, legal form of EU and CR and first of all the survey of grants which were possible to obtain in years 2004 {--} 2006 and after a year 2007 is stated. The second part of the thesis is attends to evaluation of financial situation of selected farming companies, which are dividend into 2 groups according to area where they are farming (region of LFA, marginal area). Resalts of analyse are stated in this part. Changes which occured in endowment policy in new plan period 2007 {--} 2013 are stated in this part too.

Nonionic surfactants : A multivariate study

Uppgård, Lise-Lott January 2002 (has links)
In this thesis technical nonionic surfactants are studied using multivariate techniques. The surfactants studied were alkyl ethoxylates (AEOs) and alkyl polyglucosides (APGs). The aquatic toxicity of the surfactants towards two organisms, a shrimp and a rotifer, was examined. The specified effect was lethality, LC50, as indicated by immobilisation. In a comparative study, the LC50 values obtained were used to develop two different types of model. In the log P model the toxicity was correlated to log P alone, while in the multivariate model several physicochemical variables, including log P, were correlated to the toxicity. The multivariate model gave smaller prediction errors than the log P model. Further, the change in reactivity when a surfactant mixture was added to dissolving pulp under alkaline conditions was studied, using the amount of residual cellulose as a measure of the reactivity. Ten AEO/APG mixtures were tested, and the mixture with greatest potential was studied in more detail. An optimum in the amount of added surfactant was found that seems to coincide, according to surface tension measurements, with the CMC.

Efektivnost účelových dotací ve vybraném regionu / The effectiveness of targeted subsidies in the selected region

ANTONI, Miloslava January 2012 (has links)
The essence of the thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of targeted subsidies in the selected region. Of the many special-purpose grants provided were the following three: Natural handicap payments provided in mountain areas and payments in other less favored areas (LFA), agrienvironmental measures (AEO) and the national supplementary pension (Top-up). On the basis of selected indicators, an evaluation of the effectiveness of targeted support for the period 2005-2010.
