Návrh a realizace přístroje na sledování a vyhodnocování pohybové aktivity hmyzu / Design and implementation of instruments for monitoring and evaluating physical activity of insectsKAKAŠ, Štefan January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis is the development and subsequent construction of the device whose function is measuring and evaluating physical activity of insects. This instrument is unique in the Czech Republic and will be able to record physical activity of insects by using a video camera. Later that it will be able in this video shot back to reconstruct kinematic and statistical data about the movement of insects with software which is developed with Visual Basic .NET. On the base sufficient od obtained data it can be used to verify the premise of biologists about nervous systém, brain function and behavioral of Drosophila Melangostar which is more than a century used as model for genetics experiments. Finally, the conclusion compares the result of previously known and available software solutions in the world of biology, which are still used as a source for the results of performed experiments.

Analýza světového trhu elektronické zábavy / Analysis of global market of electronic entertainmentLebduška, Martin January 2014 (has links)
Main objective of this thesis is to introduce the video game market, with the focus on console market, to professional economic public. Secondary objective is to reveal best marketing strategy on this market, map current trends and predict future economical development of video game industry. The first part of the thesis focuses on the history of entertainment market from late 19th century to 2000s to bring complex portrait of the market. Second part is focused on contemporary situation on the market and the competition. I analysed marketing mix of three biggest players on the console market: Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. The analysis revealed the crutial parts of succesful marketing mix: technological advanced product, research and development, clear close and immediate communication with customers, importance of following consumer trends (mainly social gaming) and worldwide market presence. Contribution of this thesis, apart from achieving two set objectives, is bringing insight of the market to local small game developers who can benefit from it and become more competitive.

An Inter-Linguistic Analysis on Multimodal Coupling of German and Chinese Tourism Video Commercials: A comparative Study based on ELANLi, Jie 17 April 2024 (has links)
With the development and renovation of digital information technology,
images, sounds, animations, colors and other models are integrated into one
system to convey information. Multimodality is also applied in language research.
One example of multimodal discourse are tourism video commercials, which
combine written, visual and auditory signals to construct the metaphorical meaning
of advertisements. Therefore, this paper selects six pieces of German and
Chinese tourism video commercials as objects, which are parsed, transcribed and
annotated by ELAN 5.1. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches are adopted
to analyze the selected corpus. The theoretical framework for this study is
Systemic-Functional Grammar and Visual Grammar, and it aims to explore the
similarities and differences in the fusion of multimodal features between German
and Chinese tourism video advertisements by comparative analysis.

Quantification of geometric properties of the melting zone in laser-assisted weldingJohn, Björn, Markert, Daniel, Englisch, Norbert, Grimm, Michael, Ritter, Marc, Hardt, Wolfram, Kowerko, Danny 14 August 2018 (has links)
By using camera systems – suitable for industrial applications – in combination with a large number of different measurement sensors, it is possible to monitor laser welding processes and their results in real-time. However, a low signal to noise ratio at framerates up to 2,400 fps allows only limited statements about the process behavior; especially concerning the analysis of new welding parameters and their impact on the melting bath. This article strives towards research of kinetic and geometric dependencies of the melting zone induced by different laser parameters through usage of a camera system with a high frame rate (1280x800 by 3,140 fps) in combination with model-driven image and data processing.

Three-dimensional scene recovery for measuring sighting distances of rail track assets from monocular forward facing videosWarsop, Thomas E. January 2011 (has links)
Rail track asset sighting distance must be checked regularly to ensure the continued and safe operation of rolling stock. Methods currently used to check asset line-of-sight involve manual labour or laser systems. Video cameras and computer vision techniques provide one possible route for cheaper, automated systems. Three categories of computer vision method are identified for possible application: two-dimensional object recognition, two-dimensional object tracking and three-dimensional scene recovery. However, presented experimentation shows recognition and tracking methods produce less accurate asset line-of-sight results for increasing asset-camera distance. Regarding three-dimensional scene recovery, evidence is presented suggesting a relationship between image feature and recovered scene information. A novel framework which learns these relationships is proposed. Learnt relationships from recovered image features probabilistically limit the search space of future features, improving efficiency. This framework is applied to several scene recovery methods and is shown (on average) to decrease computation by two-thirds for a possible, small decrease in accuracy of recovered scenes. Asset line-of-sight results computed from recovered three-dimensional terrain data are shown to be more accurate than two-dimensional methods, not effected by increasing asset-camera distance. Finally, the analysis of terrain in terms of effect on asset line-of-sight is considered. Terrain elements, segmented using semantic information, are ranked with a metric combining a minimum line-of-sight blocking distance and the growth required to achieve this minimum distance. Since this ranking measure is relative, it is shown how an approximation of the terrain data can be applied, decreasing computation time. Further efficiency increases are found by decomposing the problem into a set of two-dimensional problems and applying binary search techniques. The combination of the research elements presented in this thesis provide efficient methods for automatically analysing asset line-of-sight and the impact of the surrounding terrain, from captured monocular video.

Разработка системы видео-мониторинга парковочного пространства : магистерская диссертация / Evelopment of video monitoring system of parking spaceСоловиченко, О. В., Solovichenko, O. V. January 2017 (has links)
The problem of finding a free parking space in large parking lots is being updated. The developed video monitoring system for the parking space, which is part of the Smart Parking program, includes two modules. The module of number recognition serves for identification of visiting cars. The module of recognition of graphic marks serves for monitoring of parking places. Testing was carried out on a minimized parking model.
