Was realized the exposure of some selected works of the artist in a Data Show device to fifteen students, between 18 and 29 years of PUC-SP. After exposure of the works, was asked to research participants to tell a story about the works presented and a semi-structured interview was conducted. The data were organized by the Collective Subject Speech (DSC) and interpreted using the approaches of Jung's complex psychology and aesthetics of reception. It was observed that the works have the potential to profoundly stimulate the unconscious. Subjective responses were marked by intense emotional experiences, whether welfare or malaise, mobilizing projections and psychodynamic contents of the participants. Some themes became salient in the experience of the participants who interacted with the works, such as dualities, death, finitude, the strange, religion and spirituality, the body and the relationship between everyday life and unconventional experiences. The dissertation has enabled an understanding of the subjective responses of students, encouraged by selected works of artist Alex Grey / A presente dissertação teve como objetivo compreender as respostas subjetivas de estudantes, catalisadas por um conjunto de obras do artista visionário Alex Grey.

Idade média e modernidade: a recepção crítica e criativa das cantigas do mar de vigo / Middle Age and Modernity: the critical and creative reception of vigo sea songs

Oliveira, Andreiza Valéria de 18 January 2010 (has links)
This research, following the theoretical principles of the Aesthetic of Reception by Hans Robert Jauss, addresses the relationship that may exist between the literary productions of different periods, the effect of its readings at different times. At first, it was necessary to know the research of Paul Zumthor, the poetic-musical tradition prevalent in the Middle Ages. The focus of this study, concerning the medieval period, is on the seven cantigas de amigo of Martin Codax. The achievements of the twentieth century from the medieval past are not limited to philological and musical background. The work performed by poets such as Ezra Pound and TS Eliot, who proposed to retrieve certain values in medieval modernist poetry, brought about a creative recovery, different from imitating the past, but willing to renew it. This creative approach between past and present was also studied by Mikhail Bakhtin, whose ideas contributed greatly to this research. Several modernist writers who somehow rescued marks of this tradition showed that it can be recovered. Such rereading occurred in several countries, including poets of different nationalities. The main purpose of this work, however, was to see the evidence of contact between the songs of Martin Codax and modernist poetry. We examine the creative reception of contemporary poets: Adília Lopes and Duda Machado, and further, the reception hosted by Mário de Andrade in the book Lira Paulistana

Objets de performance : Les peintures du Bustân de Sa'di signées Behzâd (v. 894 H./1488) / Objects of performance : The paintings of the Bustân of Sa'di signed "Behzâd" (ca. 894/1488)

Balafrej, Lamia 13 September 2013 (has links)
This dissertation examines the paintings of one of the most important manuscripts of the Persianate book tradition: a copy of the Bustân of Sa‘di, executed in the Timurid court of Herât, ca. 894 H./1488. It argues that these paintings embody a shift in the understanding of painting from a device of representation to an object of performance. In the three chapters of the dissertation, I analyze several new characteristics that appear in the paintings of the Bustân. First, the painting becomes filled with elements that are not related to the text copied in the book (chapter I). Second, the monuments depicted are inscribed with poetic verses emphasizing the admiration of the viewer towards the paintings (chapter II). Lastly, the visual information becomes extremely miniaturized. The most meticulous details appear to be minute linear motifs. This emphasis on the line accords with the presence of the signature of the painter Behzâd, embedded in each composition (chapter III).All of these elements shift the attention of the viewer from the content represented in the paintings to the artistic process that led to their creation. By contrasting the paintings with the historical scenarios of their reception, this dissertation sheds light on a hitherto unnoticed aspect of late 9th/15th century Persian painting, one which foreshadows the development of art historiographical writings: the paintings signed “Behzâd” are conceived not only as representational devices, but also as objects of performance, that the painter uses to inscribe his gesture, and whose contemplation causes the viewer to elaborate discourses and fictions on the artist.
