Juliana Constantino Ribeiro 28 May 2009 (has links)
It was used 32 piglets, castrated male and female, of commercial lineage, weaned at 21 days of age and with average live weight of 6.2 kg, with the objective to evaluating the effect of the inclusion of different levels (0,0; 7,0; 14,0 ; 21,0%) of coconut meal (CM) and feeding forms on the performance of piglets in the initial phase I (21 to 42 days of age), initial phase II (43 to 63 days of age), and total period (21 to 63 days of age), how so your economic viability. The experimental design used was a randomized blocks with scheme factorial 4x2 (four levels of inclusion of CM and two feed forms - dry and wet diets) with four replicates by treatment and one animal for part. The criterion used for block formation was the initial weight of piglets. The results showed that for the initial phase I and total period, the daily mean weight gain (DMWG), daily mean feed intake (DMFI) and the feed conversion (FC) did not differ significantly (P> 0.05) by inclusion of different levels of CM and feeding forms. For the initial phase II, the DNWG and DMFI did not differ significantly (P>0,05), but the CA was significant (P<0,05). It was concluded that the supply of coconut meal is viable technically up to 21,0% in the diets of piglets in the period nursery, independent of the feeding forms, and that the best economic response was obtained with the level of inclusion of 21,0% of CM

Analýza vztahu makroekonomických ukazatelů a hospodářských výsledků firmy / Analysis of relation between macroeconomic indicators and economic results of a company

Scigel, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
The Czech Republic's economic performance is measurable by some macroeconomic indicators which have made variable progress in recent years. Based on general economic conditions, economic development has impacted upon economic results of companies. Over time their progress is recorded by economic time series, which describe it. Through the agency of economic time series, economic development and mutual dependences among indicators can be researched. This problem can be solved by applying the methodology which helps describe and quantify relations among quantities. For the purpose of expression of a single time series, stochastic linear modelling is used, and for quantifying the strength of relation among time series, regression analyses and Granger causality testing are used.

Dopady hospodářské krize na hospodaření obcí / Impacts of economic crisis on the managing of communities

Charvát, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the impact of the economic crisis on the 130 largest cities in the Czech Republic. These municipalities are divided into four groups, which are then evaluated in detail. The research period is the time interval bounded by the years 2003 and 2012. The work consists of two parts. The first part describes the theoretical framework of municipal finances and the expected impact of the economic crisis on the budgets of municipalities. The second part deals with the assessment of revenues and expenses during the period under review. The analysis is performed both in absolute municipal budgets and on the basis of financial indicators that are used to analyze the financial health of municipalities.

"Piketty is a Genius, but...": An Analysis of Journalistic Delegitimation of Thomas Piketty's Economic Policy Proposals

Rieder, Maria, Theine, Hendrik 04 1900 (has links) (PDF)
The continuous rise of socio-economic inequality over the past decades with its connected political outcomes such as the Brexit vote in the UK, and the election of Donald Trump are currently a matter of intense debate both in academia and in journalism. A significant sign of the heightened interest was the surprise popularity of Thomas Piketty's Capital in the 21st Century. The book reached the top of the bestseller lists and was described as a "media Sensation" and Piketty himself as a "rock star Economist". This paper, drawing from a major international and cross-disciplinary study, investigates the print media treatment in four European countries of economic policy proposals presented in Capital. Applying social semiotic and critical discourse analysis, we specifically focus on articles which are in disagreement with these proposals and identify five categories of counterarguments used against Piketty: authorisation, moralisation, rationalisation, portrayal of victimhood and inevitability. Providing textual and linguistic examples we demonstrate how the use of linguistic resources normalises and conventionalises ideology-laden discourses of economic means (taxation) and effects, reinforcing particular views of social relations and class as common sense and therewith upholding and perpetuating power relations and inequalities. / Series: Department of Economics Working Paper Series

Jasper, Samir Paulo, 1982- January 2009 (has links)
The agribusiness sector, said the federal program faced several difficulties in production of biodiesel, which stresses the material. The problems related to raw materials were mainly the shortage of vegetable oil, because of the demands of domestic and foreign markets, and the high prices of raw materials available for production, the production of biofuel made impossible by even in Brazil, where the costs of agricultural production are among the most competitive in the world. The Crambe is a species that has attracted interest of Brazilian producers due to oil content, rusticity, and mechanized cultivation, mainly as a crop of winter it becomes an option for most farmers in this period. Additionally, you can make crop rotation systems, and be used as a cover crop soil during the winter. The objective of this study was to evaluate the production potential of Crambe, evaluating production costs and energy balance of its production of Crambe no tillage and the physicochemical characteristics of oil and biodiesel obtained from these grains. The test was conducted in the agricultural year 2008 in Lageado Experimental Farm, belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences - UNESP, located in Botucatu - SP. The yield obtained was 1507.05 kg ha-1, resulting in production of 561,94 liters of oil per hectare. The fuel consumption was 17,68 L ha-1 and the energy demand of mechanized operations found an energy consumption of 41,82 kWh ha-1. The cost of deployment and conduct of Crambe... Dopady hospodářské krize na hospodaření obcí / Impacts of economic crisis on the managing of communities

Kučerová, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with effects of the economic crisis on the performance of two selected municipalities, Slaný and Smečno. There is analyzed the influence of crisis on the financial management of municipalities in 2008-2010. The thesis proposed ways communities can prevent a reduction in tax revenues and increase in current expenditures. Follow the determination whether these communities use these options. An integral part is the financial analysis that evaluates the financial health of both communities in 2008-2010.I focuses on the basic of indicators based on income and expenditure, as well as the debt and liquidity indicators. The work shows that the economic crisis has affected both municipalities. A noticeable drop in revenue was primarily in income taxes. On the contrary, stable sources of municipal budgets have become a value added tax, property tax and local taxes. Both municipalities have in times of economic crisis created sufficient financial resources and were able to easily pay their obligations. None of the municipalities is more indebted and their debt service gradually declined.
