A presente Dissertação tem por objetivo estudar as metáforas geradas em um corpus jornalístico da Economia. Para tanto, esta Dissertação foi realizada na perspectiva teórica de pesquisas que envolvem a metáfora, sobretudo, como fator de cognição, o que permitiu realizarmos uma análise dos termos coletados na Base de Termos da Economia, constituída no âmbito do Projeto Observatório de Neologismos Científicos do Português Contemporâneo. A metodologia empregada na análise dos termos permitiu uma investigação sistemática dos conceitos circunscritos nas unidades referentes ao corpus em análise, a qual resultou em um \"mapeamento\" cognitivo das unidades compreendidas nesta área, possibilitando, dessa forma, verificar qual é a função da metáfora nesse tipo de especialidade. Para tanto, selecionamos as unidades polissêmicas da Base, a fim de verificarmos quais eram os principais conceitos abrangidos nos termos em estudo. Feitos a seleção e o agrupamento de campos conceituais metafóricos, passamos à análise das unidades, a qual revelou que a metáfora em Economia parece cumprir, sobretudo, uma função didática, facilitando por meio da analogia a compreensão dessa área de especialidade. / The present dissertation aims to study the metaphors in a journalistic corpus in economics. This research was based on the cognitive metaphor theory. The terms were collected in the Base de Termos da Economia (Projeto Observatório de Neologismos Científicos do Português Contemporâneo). The methodology used in the analysis of the terms allowed us make a systematic investigation on the concepts in this kind of terminology, which resulted in a \"cognitive map\" of the metaphors of the discipline. This \"cognitive map\" also provided conditions to verify the role of metaphor in economics. O propósito desta tese é estudar as definições nos contextos da oralidade e estabelecer a viabilidade e a conveniência de uma abordagem que considere sistemas de definições em operação - estruturas sistêmicas - em vez de definições como fenômenos discursivos isolados. Após discutir as implicações de diversas abordagens para a teoria das definições, apresenta-se uma tipologia de definições que atenda àquele particular contexto. Uma vez apresentado um esquema que distingue entre as operações de definição no plano empírico e as operações de definição no plano mental, desenvolvem-se os conceitos de estrutura stricto sensu de definição [ou seja, \"estrutura (pró-)definidora\"] e estrutura lato sensu de definição [ou seja, \"contextura (pró-)definidora\"]. Por fim, examina-se um tipo de definição que atende tanto aos aspectos pragmáticos da interação verbal quanto à flexibilidade ontológica de certos objetos de definição. / The purpose of this thesis is to study definitions in the oral contexts and to establish the viability and convenience of an approach that considers systems of definitions at work (systemic structures), instead of definitions as isolated phenomena in discourse. After discuss some implications of several approaches for definitions theory, we present a definitions typology, which fits with that particular context. Cosimo pode ser lido como um microcosmo do período em questão e, através da narrativa de suas aventuras, é possível traçar um percurso intelectual do homem ocidental. Este trabalho tem por objetivos discutir as relações entre Ficção e História, através das análises estrutural e discursiva de Il barone rampante, e analisar a formação intelectual e de valores do protagonista, paralela a uma genealogia do romance, apresentada na obra. Para tanto, verificaremos a relação dos romances aos quais Il barone rampante faz referências com o crescimento do público leitor e com o nascimento e o amadurecimento do gênero literário que surge no berço da sociedade burguesa: o romance. Também serão discutidas as influências das obras iluministas no pensamento e nas ações do personagem, uma vez que, na figura de Cosimo, vemos um personagem leitor, inventor, filósofo e contador de histórias. Para o estudo da relação entre Ficção e História, privilegiaremos a reflexão metaficcional que aparece na voz do narrador, numa discussão sobre o papel do historiador e do escritor literário e a tênue linha que os separa. Aliada a essa discussão, verificaremos o posicionamento estético e ideológico de Calvino diante de suas reflexões ensaísticas sobre o papel da literatura e do intelectual na contemporaneidade. / Abstract: Published in 1957 and joined to the Our Ancestors trilogy in 1965, The Baron in the Trees, by Italo Calvino, is a portrait of the changes in Europe during the 18th century, shown through the preposterous life of Cosimo, the baron that lived in the trees. Cosimo can be interpreted as a microcosm of the 18th century, and the tale of his adventures is a way to trace the intellectual journey of the West. The present work aims to discuss the relationship between history and fiction with the structural and discursive analysis of The Baron in the Trees, and to analyze the intellectual and moral coming of age of the main character, along with a genealogy of the novel, presented in Calvino's work. To that end, we will show the relationship between the novels The Baron in the Trees alludes to and the growth of the readership, the birth and the coming of age of the literary genre that is part of the origins of the bourgeois society: the novel. We will also discuss the impact of the Enlightenment on the thoughts and actions of the main character, since, in the person of Cosimo, we see a reader, an inventor, a philosopher and a storyteller. To study the relationship between fiction and history, we shall prioritize the metafictional reflexion that appears in the narrator's voice, in a discussion about the role of the historian and the author and the thin line that keeps them apart. We will also investigate Calvino's aesthetic and ideological position in his reflexions on the role of literature and of the scholars in the modern world. / Mestre

Para tanto, discorreu sobre a trajetória do discurso oficial para o ensino da disciplina Língua Portuguesa, focalizando seu contexto histórico de produção, bem como todas as reformas curriculares que antecederam o objeto de análise; analisou o discurso do documento tendo por base as idéias de Bakhtin sobre polifonia e monofonia, levantando as dificuldades de aplicação das propostas nele contidas. Foi feita uma pesquisa de base qualitativa, etnográfica, focalizando o processo pedagógico desenvolvido em sala de aula por vinte e quatro professores atuantes em nove escolas estaduais pertencentes à Diretoria de Ensino da Região de Ourinhos - SP, desde a formulação dos Planos Anuais de Ensino até o resultado visto em sala de aula, por meio das anotações feitas pelos alunos, com a preocupação de perceber a relação existente com os PCN-LP, além de entrevistas com alunos concluintes dos cursos de Letras que formam os futuros professores que atuarão na região. O que motivou a pesquisa foi a inquietação de quem atua dentro da escola e percebe que a qualidade do ensino de língua materna não consegue se efetivar com sucesso. Daí, o interesse em estudar as determinações oficiais e descobrir os nós que atravancam a execução das propostas elaboradas por intelectuais respeitados e que não chegam aos seus sujeitos de direito, alunos e professores. Tentou-se mostrar e avalizar novos direcionamentos que pudessem intervir e reverter o estado caótico em que se encontra o ensino de Língua Portuguesa, no país. Foi intenção da pesquisa deixar uma contribuição aos atuais e futuros professores, além dos dirigentes educacionais, para se procurar caminhos para a efetiva realização do processo ensino-apendizagem da disciplina em questão. / Abstract: This research had as objective to analyze the speech of the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais - Ensino Fundamental-3° e 4° ciclos. So that, it discoursed on the trajectory of the official speech for the teaching the discipline Portuguese Language focusing its historical context of production, as well as all the curricular reforms that had preceded the object of analysis; it analyzed the speech of the document having for base the ideas of Bakhtin on polyphony and monophony raising the difficulties of application of the proposals in it contained. It was made a research of qualitative base, ethnographic, focusing the pedagogical process developed in classroom by twenty-four teachers operating in nine state schools pertaining to the Diretoria de Ensino da Região de Ourinhos-SP, since the formularization of the Annual Plans of Teaching until the result seen in classroom, by means of the notes written down by the pupils, with the concern to perceive the existent relation with the PCN-LP, besides interviews with pre - graduate students of Teacher Education Courses that form the future teachers who will work in the region. What motivated the research was the inquietude of who acts inside of school and perceives that the quality of the teaching of mother language does not obtain to accomplish itself successfully. That's why the interest in studying the official determinations and to find out the knots that hinder the execution of the proposals elaborated by respected intellectuals and don't achieve its citizens of right pupils and teachers. It was tried to show and to endorse new directions could interfere and revert the chaotic state in which the teaching of Portuguese Language finds itself in the country. Para avaliar o tema proposto, adotou-se uma trajetória na qual se avalia a nova ordem internacional, suas contradições e a forma como o Brasil acabou aderindo a seus princípios. Tal avaliação auxilia o posicionamento da mídia na atualidade e, junto à análise do discurso da campanha em estudo e à pesquisa de campo realizada em Bauru, onde foram aferidos seus acertos e equívocos, faz entender como tal campanha caminha na contramão da proposta do Programa Fome Zero. / Abstract: This dissertation aims at analyzing the Fome Zero Program media campaign broadcasted on television during the first semester of 2003 and the Program implementation in the city of Bauru, São Paulo. In order to assess the above mentioned theme, the strategy of analyzing the new international order, its contradictions and the way Brazil adhered to its principles was adopted. This analysis helps the assessment of the media’s perspective nowadays and, along with the Fome Zero campaign discourse analysis and the field research carried out in Bauru where its appropriateness and flaws were verified, provides an understanding of how this campaign is contradictory with the Program's purpose. / Mestre

Toda vez que nova lei entra em vigor, surge na comunidade jurídica verdadeira avalanche de estudos, debates e discussões a respeito das possíveis mudanças que irá operar no ordenamento jurídico e, por conseqüência, na sociedade. O ponto de partida dessa empreitada é debruçar-se sobre o texto legal em debate, procurando determinar o que ele busca comunicar por meio de artigos de lei, ou seja, interpretá-lo. Considerando que o objeto da semiótica é o sentido que se depreende de textos e considerando que a lei manifesta-se textualmente, nada está a impedir a aplicação da teoria semiótica como método de interpretação dos textos legais. Lançando olhar semiótico em determinado texto jurídico, tomando-o como objeto e não como ponto de partida, é possível estudá-lo enquanto manifestação discursiva produtora de sentido, buscando em seus próprios elementos os efeitos de sentido que produz, as relações que estabelece com os demais textos jurídicos, o ethos que se forja na enunciação - instância produtora do sentido -, ou, como querem, \"a vontade do legislador\", \"o sentido da lei\". Nas relações que os textos jurídicos estabelecem entre si, recriando-se mutuamente, dialogando de maneira explícita ou velada, encontra-se espaço para a aplicação das teorias de linha francesa de análise do discurso, que permitem, também dentro do campo de análise exclusivamente discursiva, analisar com profundidade as condições para produção de sentido, a instância da enunciação deslocada para o interdiscurso. A entrada em vigor do Código Civil Brasileiro de 2002, revogando o Código Civil Brasileiro de 1916, dado à importância jurídica e social do tema e à sua atualidade, tornou óbvia a opção de tomar as codificações civis brasileiras como objeto de estudo, uma vez que abre a possibilidade de constatar a eficácia de tais modelos quando aplicados ao discurso jurídico e, ao mesmo tempo, propor um debate diferenciado sobre o tema, uma vez que afastado dos critérios mais comuns usados em direito para análise e interpretação das leis, que certamente abundarão nos demais estudos sobre a matéria / Every time that new law is published, appears in the legal community true avalanche of studies, debates and quarrels regarding the possible changes that will go to operate in legal system and, for consequence, in the society. The starting point of these studies is to lean over itself on the legal text in debate, being looked for to determine what it intends to communicate by means of law articles, or either, to interpret it. Considering that the object of the semiotics is the meaning through the analysis of texts and considering that the law is a text, nothing is to hinder the application of the semiotics theory as interpretation method for legal texts. Launching a semiotic look at the legal texts, taking it as an object and not as starting point, it is possible to study it while discursive manifestation, searching in its proper elements the effect of felt that it produces, the relations that establish with other legal texts, the ethos that it forges in the articulation - producing instance of the direction -, or, as one says, \"the will of the legislator\", \"the direction of the law\". In the relations that the legal texts establish between itself, recreating themselves mutually, dialoguing in explicit or guarded way, space is open for the application of the theories of French line of analysis of the speech, that allows, inside of the field of interspeech analysis to analyze with depth the conditions for direction production, the instance of the articulation dislocated for interspeech. The publication of the Brazilian Civil Code of 2002, revoking the Brazilian Civil Code of 1916, due to the legal and social importance of the subject and to its present time, became obvious the option to take civil codifications of Brazil as study object, as far as opens the possibility to evidence the effectiveness of such models when applied to legal speech and, at the same time, to consider an alternative debate on the subject, as long as moved away from the used criteria most common in legal analysis and interpretation of the laws, that certainly will proliferate in abundance into the studies on the subject.
