Kv. Draken : En studie i kostnadseffektivt byggande / Kv. Draken : A study in cost efficiency in buildingÅström, Oskar, Fröderberg, Max January 2013 (has links)
Lägenheterna finns i tre storlekar: 1:or, 1,5:or och 4:or. De större lägenheterna är i två plan. / The housing policy conducted over the past two decades has resulted in an increasingly segregated city center in Stockholm. The abolishment of housing subsidies in the 90s led to a historic low rate of construction and an urban development unilaterally directed towards the wealthy. Parallel to this, much of the housing stock has been converted to condominiums which caused many relatively cheap rental apartments in older buildings to disappear from the stock. These are difficult to replace with new housing, as they are more expensive. The core issue is of course that it is expensive to build houses and assuming that the current housing policy will last, it is highly relevant to develop cost-effective construction methods in order to make possible apartments with affordable rents that can help to combat segregation over time. Our proposal consists of a residential building in Stadshagen. The property is divided into two buildings that are linked together by a system of access balconies connected to a stairwell. The houses are constructed with volume elements stacked on a concrete base. The design of the elements is based on shipping containers which provides a rational construction process and a high degree of prefabrication. The base contains an underground entrance, a business premise and common areas for the residents. The apartments are available in three sizes whereof the larger apartments have two floors.

Město ve městě/ „Blok Trnitá“ / City within the City / "Trnitá City Block"Remišová, Lenka Unknown Date (has links)
The architectural study deals with the design of an eight-storey multifunctional building, which is part of a completely new block of flats in the South Quarter in Brno - the Trnitá housing estate. The starting material for the processing was a new urban and volumetric study "Brno - a new southern quarter" published by the Office of the Architect of the City of Brno. The zoning plan currently being prepared envisages the relocation of the main train station and the subsequent development of the city district. The Trnitá district in Brno will be the seat of the new millennium - very unique thanks to the direct connection to the historic city center and at the same time to train and bus transport of an international character. This part of the city will be not only a new residential area, but also a gateway for passengers to Brno. Therefore, it is important to pay enough attention to the local architecture to respond to the time in which it will be built; to address the current needs of the people of Brno and, last but not least, to reflect the development trends of society in cities on a global scale. The supporting idea in the theoretical solution was for me to understand the city as a meeting place. One of the primary functions of cities in the past was to meet people regularly for trade and exchange of goods. With the emergence and very rapid development of information technology, the exchange of goods was added to the exchange of information, to which the company began to attach much greater importance. An important way of exchanging this kind are the interpersonal encounters, communication and social interaction just mentioned, which can arise more easily if we create an environment for it - an architectural space. My intention was to design a "living residential house and meeting center" in terms of active interpersonal interaction in individual operations and also in terms of a living "breathing" building envelope using plants. In the design, it was important for me to emphasize the spaces that have the potential to meet, whether accidental or targeted, and can contribute to creating social bonds in the urban environment.

MORAVSKÉ VINAŘSKÉ CENTRUM BRNO / Moravian wine centre BrnoPeková, Pavla January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis gives a proposal for a new Moravian wine center in the city center of Brno. Wine center is situated on the street Hlinka, where grapevines were planted in the Middle Ages. Demarcated land is narrow and elongated sloping towards to the south and connects the Yellow hills and the Brno Exhibition Centre. The main idea of this thesis is connect these two significant locations and offer the visitor a free passage along the entire length of the complex. Also main building Moravian Wine Centre reflects this fact and it expands the space of the street stalls and forms it into overgrown "arcade". The house is opened into this space - with glazed facade of the first two floors or with transmission into the rear wing. The main building consist of the cellar, where it is located wellness, winehouse, rentable wine boxes and tasting room connected with wine production. The rest of floors are designed for wine gallery, information center, reception, shop, restaurant, conference center and hotel. There is a café with roof terrace in the last floor. It offers a magnificent view into cityscape of Brno, Brno Exhibition Centre and the Yellow slope of the hill. There is designed a pond for relaxation in the courtyard. Nearby is situated Wine Institute building with facilities for making wine. In the second half of the land are located three blocks of luxury apartments in the middle of a vineyard. A leading construction is the most striking feature of the facade that reminds bougainvillea vines with vaulted arches wine cellars and attracts at first sight.
