Application part: problems of the Madeta Inc. long-term properties, properties-assessing possibilities in the company and their influence on the probative qualities of data contained in the financial statements, the concrete example of a properties-depreciation calculation and impacts of the particular ways of depreciation on the probative qualities of the financial statements of the company.

The thesis is focused on application of methods of financial analysis, solvent and bankruptcy indicators and methods for assessing the vitality of the company by H. Pollak. These methods will be applied on the Prague Energy Company, Inc. This thesis aims to compare the resulting values and vitality assessment of Prague Energy Company, Inc.

This master´s thesis deals with evaluation of an investment plan of technological company KOVOLIT a.s., that considers replacement of currently used handling equipment in it´s operations. Feasibility of the investment is evaluated by using chosen tools for evaluating of investment effectiveness in order to decide whether the investment is suitable for the company.

This work solving with the statistical inspection verification of big amounts of products imported to Czech Republic. Work it self is designed as general handbook and it will be possible to use it on other products then the model one. This work was elaborated with company which is importing screws for wood industry. We used common standards to define quality requirements of verificated products, and to design statistical inspection plans. The goal of this work is technical and economical evaluation of designed method, which was used on model product.

The study emanates from the need to identify the biopsychosocial factors that influence patients’ adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) within the South African context The specific goal of the study was to explore these in order to make recommendations to enhance service delivery. Applied research was conducted, with its primary task being to stimulate thought and action concerning the challenges faced by patients who are on ART. In order to gather comprehensive data, the researcher engaged in a combination of the qualitative and quantitative approaches. For the qualitative case study the researcher made use of semi-structured interviews, utilizing the non-probability sampling method, aiming to understand and interpret the meaning that the multidisciplinary team accorded to matters of antiretroviral treatment. For the quantitative part of the study the probability random sampling method was made use of for the quantitative descriptive survey. Questionnaires were employed to collect data from 201 patients already on antiretroviral medication. The conclusions, which were drawn from the research findings, identified challenges to adherence to ART: the study confirmed that since the advent of combination antiretroviral therapy (HAART), HIV/AIDS has been transformed into a manageable and chronic condition, and has undoubtedly extended and improved the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS. However, it also confirmed that ART, is a complex intervention, which is accompanied by severe biopsychosocial implications, requiring near-perfect adherence in order to prevent the development of resistance. The impact that the various psychosocial needs of millions of HIV/AIDS people living on ART will have on current social structures and services, will tax the available professional social services, particularly the social work profession. The social correlation of HIV/AIDS and poverty is endorsed by the findings, confirming that the high level of unemployment, coupled with families who are headed by women and who receive little support, lead to almost total dependency on social security. The findings further indicate a specific relationship between socio-economic circumstances and the ability to adhere to ART. Empowering HIV/AIDS patients, to be able to adhere to ART, is therefore indicated, as is the further need for a regulator of HIV/AIDS support services, in order to protect and promote high standards of service delivery, especially counselling. / Thesis (DPhil)--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Social Work and Criminology / DPhil / unrestricted

Selective mutism(SM) is a !disorder in which children capable of speech do not speak in certain situations. SM is often related to social phobia (SP); however, the exact relationship between the two conditions is unclear. To obtain a better understanding of the relationship of SM and SP, 8 children with SM, 8 with SP, and 7 typically developing children (ranging in age from 7-13) were compared on measures of physiology(heart rate, skin temperature, and skin conductance responses), and self-report and parent-report measures. The physiological measures were recorded during two social interaction tasks (a role-play task and a reading aloud task). Despite our expectation that children with SM should show higher physiological arousal during these tasks, the results revealed no conclusive physiological differences between the two groups. These finding suggest that the current conceptualization of selective mutism simply as an extreme form of social phobia may be incorrect.

Also, in accordance with the dynamic method, assess the competitive status of machine-building enterprise JSC "PO "UOMZ". On the basis of what is revealed and articulated the shortcomings of the existing methods of estimation of competitiveness of business entities. Description and practical approbation of the proposed methodology for assessing the competitiveness of managing subjects for formation of a complex of measures on improvement of activities of the studied enterprises are presented in the third Chapter. На основании чего выявлены и сформулированы недостатки существующей методики оценки конкурентоспособности хозяйствующих субъектов. Описание и практическая апробация предложенной методики оценки конкурентоспособности хозяйствующих субъектов в целях формирования комплекса мероприятий по улучшению деятельности исследуемого предприятия представлена в третьей главе. В частности, основными направлениями дальнейшего повышения конкурентоспособности АО «ПО «УОМЗ» является разработка мероприятий по улучшению стратегического позиционирования предприятия и увеличению доли рынка по сегменту «оптическое и геодезическое оборудование».

The methodological approach to assessing the competitiveness of the enterprise and ways to improve it is presented in the third Chapter. Методический подход к оценке конкурентоспособности предприятия и путей его повышения представлен в третьей главе. Проведена апробация представленного метода на примере ПАО «ТМК», то есть определен уровень конкурентоспособности предприятия, на основании которого предложен комплекс мероприятий по улучшению деятельности исследуемого предприятия.

Regional competitiveness is a complex concept that includes not only economic, but also social, demographic and political aspects. Different indicators that characterize even one aspect of competitiveness can give polar estimates of its level. Taking into account this differentiation is certainly important. The purpose of the final qualification work is to develop methodological foundations for analyzing the competitiveness of the region. The paper studies theoretical and methodological issues of regional competitiveness research, conducts a critical analysis of widely used methods, and offers the author's methodological approach to assessing the level of regional competitiveness. The empirical base of the study was educational and research literature, statistical data of the Federal state statistics service and its territorial divisions, data from the Unified interdepartmental information and statistical system, analytical reports of the Federal state statistics service and its territorial divisions, and data from an expert survey. In the final qualification work, a methodological approach to assessing the level of competitiveness of the region was developed. / Конкурентоспособность региона - комплексное понятие, которое включает в себя не только экономические, но и социальные, демографические и политические аспекты. Различные показатели, характеризующие даже один аспект конкурентоспособности, могут давать полярные оценки ее уровня. Учет такой дифференцированности, безусловно, важен. Целью выпускной квалификационной работы является развитие методических основ анализа конкурентоспособности региона. В работе изучены теоретико-методические вопросы исследования конкурентоспособности региона, проведен критический анализ широко применяемых методик и предложен авторский методический подход оценки уровня конкурентоспособности региона. Эмпирической базой исследования выступили учебно-методическая и научно-исследовательская литература, статистические данные Федеральной службы государственной статистики и ее территориальных подразделений, данные Единой межведомственной информационно-статистической системы, аналитические отчеты Федеральной службы государственной статистики и ее территориальных подразделений, данные экспертного опроса. В выпускной квалификационной работе разработан методический подход к оценке уровня конкурентоспособности региона.
