tool for local/regional development of underdeveloped border regions, and whether it
is appropriate for Turkey&rsquo / s border regions. The basic statement is that the trajectories
of intense economic relations do not always let cross-border co-operation / it can
develop through supportive policies fed by the active participation of cross-border
actors.

- to examine changing theoretical ideas about borders and border relations,
- to review some of the important changes affecting the cross-border cooperations / and the implications of transformations in the global mechanisms through new network relations determined within the multi-level governance
approach,

- to discuss the cross-border co-operation trajectories through the world
experiences and Turkish case,
- to search for a new model

such as governance, economy and social structure. Along these theoretical
perspectives, the importance of a cross-border co-operation for local/regional
development will be emphasised through the case of Hopa-Batumi border region.
Handling of this case will be an attempt to put forward the opportunities and barriers
of a cross-border co-operation for Turkish border regions.
This study is developed by the examination of theoretical literature, generating
comparative analysis of world experiences with reference to available literature, and
Turkish border regions executed with the newspapers archives and legal
arrangements, and case study through in-depth interviews.

Previous issue date: 2011-10-21 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research is characterized by the qualitative methodological approach and the
objective is to develop a reflection about the particularities of the daily work
experiences of nannies, in focus of analytical psychology, considering historical
and social aspects. The work is a human experience that highlights the
intersection of collective and individual nature, which is encouraged throughout the
individuation. From the concept of work and the ancestry of the profession in
Brazil, which denotes its cultural complex, we construct a reflection approaching
the daily work of nannies today and some considerations about their professional
persona. We note that the centrality of work is a characteristic of the profession,
influencing the lives of workers in how they invest energy and dedication in the
personal and family context. This occurs mainly among workers who live in the
residence of work, which makes the boundary between public and private spheres
almost nonexistent, which may favor the rigidity of the professional persona. The
professional role of the nanny is related to parental functions such as care,
educate, give affection, attention and love, through a substitutive fraternal
relationship, which makes her supporting of familiar life. In this sense, she
coordinates archetypal elements of maternal and paternal, of eros and power, in
their daily assignments. The coordination of these elements stems from the
psychological baggage of professional and express your personal directory about
the symmetric and asymmetric relations. This dynamic is manifested in the
relationship between the worker, child and parents, setting up a triangulation, in
which the nanny must pass, and the more good it does, more integrate will be the
experience of his professional persona. Thus, it becomes relevant to the creation
of a specialized space, group and/or individual, in which daily experiences can be
shared in order to increase consciousness of workers about their professional role,
and also to propitiate the development of symbolic language, which can facilitate
A partir do
energia e dedicação no âmbito pessoal e familiar.
Nesse
sentido, ela coordena elementos arquetípicos maternos e paternos, de eros e
poder, em suas atribuições cotidianas. A coordenação desses elementos decorre
as relações simétricas e assimétricas.

Nekonvenční síla malých států: srovnávací případová studie Litvy a Tchaj-wanu (ROC) / Unconventional power of small states: a comparative case study of Lithuania and Taiwan (ROC)Eidėjūtė, Gabrielė January 2021 (has links)
CHARLES UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES Institute of Political Studies Department of Geopolitical Studies Master's Thesis Unconventional power of small states: a comparative case study of Lithuania and Taiwan (ROC) Abstract: The hypotheses of the leading international relations theories, especially realism, face fundamental criticism for not explaining the behavior of some small states, who lack material power but play an effective and influential role in the international arena. To fill in this oversight, the contemporary discourse of small states challenges the resource-based understandings of power and seeks new avenues to explain how some small states succeed in "punching above their weight." Most recently, Dr. Tom Long (2017) synthesized previous academic researches and proposed that the small state's power can be best understood as originating in three categories: derivative, collective, and particular-intrinsic. This thesis aims to contribute to the argument that small states can possess unconventional power to advance their influence and achieve their national interests. It uses Dr. Tom Long's three categories of unconventional power, as a basis for the comparative case study of Taiwan and Lithuania - two small states that have notoriously challenge the notion of "how a small state should...
