Macrofinanças bancárias: dívida pública e gestão bancária no Brasil / Bank macrofinance: public debt and bank management in Brazil

Os bancos emprestam recursos às pessoas, às empresas e aos governos, através da compra de títulos e valores mobiliários ou através da realização de operações de crédito. O governo federal, na figura da Secretaria do Tesouro Nacional, é um dos clientes dos bancos. A partir de um estudo descritivo, de observação de dois fenômenos - evolução da dívida pública e estratégia de gestão bancária - que ocorreram no Brasil em período recente, este trabalho procura identificar se as estratégias de alocação de ativos dos bancos em títulos e em operações de crédito foram influenciadas pela evolução do volume da dívida pública brasileira, no período compreendido entre 1995 e 2006. São apresentados as formas de financiamento, os aspectos de gestão, os instrumentos (títulos) e os agentes investidores em títulos da dívida pública interna emitidos pelo Tesouro Nacional. Para analisar as estratégias de gestão bancária, utilizou-se o universo de bancos comerciais e de bancos múltiplos de carteira comercial e foram consideradas as variáveis participação da carteira de títulos e valores mobiliários e participação das operações de crédito e arrendamento mercantil sobre o total de ativos dos bancos, que foram segmentados de acordo com a origem do capital em públicos e privados. Os resultados encontrados mostraram que existem diferenças entre as estratégias de alocação de ativos - títulos ou crédito - e a concentração em títulos - públicos ou privados - adotadas pelos bancos em função da origem do capital. / Banks loan resources to the people, to the companies and to the governments, through the purchase of securities or through the loans & leases. The federal government is one of the customers of the banks. From a descriptive study, with a observation of two phenomena - evolution of the public debt and strategy of banking management - that they had occurred in Brazil in recent period, this work looks for to identify if the strategies of asset allocation of the banks in securities and loans and leases had been influenced by the evolution of the volume of the Brazilian public debt, in the period understood between 1995 and 2006. The financing forms, the management aspects, the instruments (securities) and the investment agents in headings of the internal public debt emitted by the National Treasure are presented. To analyze the strategies of banking management, the universe of commercial banks was used and had been considered the participation of the securities portfolio and the participation of the loans & leases on the total assets of the banks, that they had been segmented in accordance with the origin of the capital in private and public. The joined results had shown that exist differences between the strategies of asset allocation - securities or loans & leases - and the concentration in securities - public or private - adopted by the banks in function of the origin of the capital.

Customer experience as the strategic differentiator in retail banking

Thesis (PhD (Business Management))—University of Stellenbosch, 2009. / In 2008, retail banking in South Africa is a highly competitive industry with extensive customer bases that expect increasingly more from their banking experience. The retail bank with an appropriate strategic differentiator will gain a sustainable competitive advantage in the changing retail banking environment and add value to all its stakeholders. This study was conducted within the evolving retail banking industry and investigated customer experience as a possible strategic differentiator in this industry. The investigation included a literature study on the evolution of retail banking globally and in South Africa, the concepts strategy, differentiation and sustainable competitive advantage and customer experience. Quantitative and qualitative measurement frameworks were applied to measure the total customer experience and thereby illustrate through the research results the value of understanding the customer experience as differentiator in an organisation. The researcher determined through the investigation that customer experience can be a valuable strategic differentiator in retail banking today as it gives an organisation a competitive advantage through the focus on the total customer experience which includes the previous differentiators in the industry, namely product, price and service. The researcher also indicated that customer experience evolved over time and includes service quality and customer service from which it evolved. The implications of the study focus on management‟s role in developing a differentiated strategy which describes customer experience as the differentiator and implementing such a strategy implies a thorough understanding of customers and their experiences when interacting with the organisation and entrenching a customer experience culture and orientation in the organisation on all levels.

The digital economy as a priority of the informatization strategy of the Russian economy for 2016–2022: by a resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, an order was adopted to approve the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation program dated July 28, 2017. 70% of the document flow should be converted into electronic form for this period. The aim of the study is to develop measures for the development of remote access to banking services in order to increase the competitiveness of the Point bank. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the breadth of the introduction of innovative banking products was determined depending on the model of remote banking services adopted by the bank (hereinafter RBS), as well as ways to increase the competitiveness of the RBS system were identified. Based on a survey of employees and customers of 50 Russian banks (first half of 2019), it was determined that 2.70% of the banking sector of the Russian Federation is provided by the banking system. The emergence of a new business model of the bank reduces the cost of banking services and creates additional competitive advantages for customers. According to the map of strategic groups, the Tochka bank is a direct competitor of Sberbank in the field of banking and banking services. The effects of the introduction of RBS in the Point bank are: an increase in the productivity of managers working with clients; 40% reduction in maintenance costs; increase the availability of services. The recommendations are practical and implemented in the activities of the bank Point. / Цифровая экономика как приоритет стратегии информатизации российской экономики на 2016–2022 гг.: постановлением Правительством Российской Федерации было принято распоряжение на утверждение программы «Цифровая экономика Российской Федерации» от 28.07.2017. Документооборот на 70% должен быть переведен в электронный вид за этот период. Целью исследования является разработка мероприятий по развитию удаленного доступа к банковским услугам с целью повышения конкурентоспособности банка Точка. Научная новизна состоит в том, что была определена широта внедрения инновационных банковских продуктов в зависимости от принятой банком модели дистанционного банковского обслуживания (далее ДБО), а также определены способы повышения конкурентоспособности системы ДБО. На основании проведенного опроса сотрудников и клиентов 50 российских банков (первая половина 2019 года) было определено, что 2,70% банковского сектора РФ обеспечивают ДБО. Появление новой бизнес-модели банка снижает себестоимость банковских услуг и создает для клиентов дополнительные конкурентные преимущества. Согласно карте стратегических групп, банк Точка является прямым конкурентом Сбербанка в сфере ДБО. Эффектами от внедрения ДБО в банке Точка являются: увеличение производительности труда менеджеров по работе с клиентами; сокращение расходов на обслуживание на 40%; увеличение доступности услуг. Рекомендации носят практический характер и внедрены в деятельность банка Точка.

В данном исследовании проведена оценка специфических особенностей и сделан анализ эффективности интернет-коммуникаций российских коммерческих банков в современных условиях цифровизации банковского сектора. С учетом выводов исследований разработаны научно-практические рекомендации по основным принципам управления интернет-коммуникациями коммерческого банка для эффективного взаимодействия с внешней аудиторией. / The relevance of a comprehensive study of bank communications on the Internet for interaction with an external audience is particularly high in the modern conditions of commercial banks, and the management of Internet communications as a separate area of bank management is not yet sufficiently developed. This study evaluates the specific features and analyzes the effectiveness of Internet communications of Russian commercial banks in the current conditions of digitalization of the banking sector. Taking into account the findings of the research, scientific and practical recommendations on the basic principles of managing commercial bank Internet communications for effective interaction with an external audience have been developed.
