EKG biofeedback / ECG Biofeedback

Macková, Pavlína January 2012 (has links)
The master’s thesis is focused on the possibilities of measuring heart rate of ECG signal and its use in therapeutic game of ECG biofeedback. This thesis describes the way of measuring ECG with acquisition unit Biopac and analyzes signal processing for measurement of heart rate – algorithms of QRS detection, HRV analysis. Realisation of therapeutic is designed for applications in Matlab.

Alfa monitor / Alpha monitor

Svobodová, Eva January 2014 (has links)
The master´s thesis presents the problems of EEG biofeedback and its application to relax people. The first part discusses the properties of EEG signal , the requirements of the standard EEG and also distribusion signal into different frequency bands. The main essence of the work is the design and realization of Alfa Monitor – a device for relaxation , that for implamanting EEG biofeedback uses acoustic form and sensing of electrical activity of brain in the region of alpha waves. The second half of the work is t focused on circuit design, using integrated circuits with component values of relevant calculations . Further, it analyzes the practical implementation of alfa monitor. The last chapter is devoted to the testing the functionality of this device.

Vibrotactile Postural Control in Patients That Have Sit-to-Stand Balance Deficit and Fall

Atkins, Karen L. Hastings 01 January 2010 (has links)
Purpose: Vibrotactile displays have been found to be beneficial in improving balance test scores that correlate with a decrease in fall rate in laboratory studies. Investigations of these devices have been limited to upright stance and have not been done in clinical settings. Furthermore, transitional movements facilitated by vibrotactile displays, such as forward lean and rise found in sit-to-stand, have not been investigated. A prospective study investigated the relationship between force platform vibrotactile intervention and balance test scores, sit-to-stand and falls in subjects with abnormal NeuroCom Sit-to-Stand test results and 2 or more self-reported falls within the last 6 months. Subjects: Subjects included 30 community-dwelling adults, aged 60 to 79 years, 10 as off-site controls, 10 as on-site controls, and 10 as on-site device intervention subjects. Method: The cohort is a prospective case/control study using Pearson r, paired sample t-test, multivariate analysis of variance (M)ANOVA), and Wilcoxon signed rank analysis to determine the relationship between standard of care physical therapy plus vibrotactile force platform device treatment and standard of care physical therapy only. The Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Dynamic Gait Index, functional independence measure-motor (FIM-Motor), NeuroCom Sit-to-Stand normative ratios, NeuroCom Comprehensive Report, and self-reported falls quantify change over time with repeated measure study design. Results: The study found a significant beneficial effect in the device intervention group which realized 39.5/56 to 51.2/56 mean score increase in Berg Balance Score, increase in mean Dynamic Gait Index from 11.7/24 to 19.8/24, mean increase in FIM-Motor from 16.4/21 to 19.5/21 and decrease in self-report falls from 4 to 2 by intervention Day 14. These finds encourage further investigation of vibrotactile force platform devices.

EEG biofeedback rozhraní lidského mozku a počítače / EEG Biofeedback Human Brain - Computer Interface

Kněžík, Jan January 2007 (has links)
This master thesis dwells on EEGbiofeedback (also called Neurofeedback) interface of human brain and the computer and its concrete realization in Java programming language. This system is founded on the basis of the computer, which is accomplishing biological feedback (biofeedback) and the electroencephalography (EEG) by helping that state's scanning of user's brain is realized. By this way is possible to practise the human brain effectively to achieve better concentration, the elimination of sleeping and learning deficiency. Hereafter is the suggestion of direction control of computer mouse by EEG device incorporated, which makes it possible for the man to regulate the direction of the cursor's movement on the screen by the frequency of brain's oscillation. The motivation for solution of this problem is the effort to help to handicapped people to communicate with surrounding world. The introduction of this paper contains the basic facts about human brain, electroencephalography and EEG biofeedback. The following chapters dwell on the specification of claims to developed application, its suggestion and description of actual realization. The final part relates to the BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) systems and suggestion of computer's control by EEGappliance with evaluation of attained results.

Разработка системы на основе биофидбека для тренировки функции равновесия головы человека : магистерская диссертация / Development of a system based on biofeedback for training the balance function of the human head

Смирнягин, А. Д., Smirnyagin, A. D. January 2022 (has links)
This paper shows the development of a simulator for training the balance function of the human head. A system that implements biofeedback is considered in detail. It also presents the development of its own system and its implementation in the form of a game. As a result of the work, data from the accelerometer and gyroscope sensors of the smartphone were obtained and analyzed. The result of statistical analysis are the found statistically significant parameters.
