Ochrana spotřebitele v letecké dopravě / The air transportation and consumer rights

The thesis is focused on dynamically developing field of the air transportation. It is based on rights and duties of airlines and consumers. It is mapping the most important current law moves of Czech Republic which has been changed and agreed for a consumer protection. It describes consumer rights in the case of a flight delay and cancellation, refusal of entry on the plane and in the case of baggage problems. It also touches the issues of advertised price of plane tickets. It is followed by the analysis of current situation of the observance of consumer rights and their point of view on some controversial topics.

The thesis aims to analyze customer satisfaction in the airlines Travel Service in claiming damages. The theoretical part provides the basic concepts of air transport, legislation on civil aviation, the importance of the position of airlines in Czech and foreign aviation market and the introduction of airline Travel Service. The practical part deals with the definition of fundamental rights of air passengers in claiming damages, especially when claiming baggage and delayed or canceled flights. The practical part has been prepared based on the survey of customers Airlines Travel Service In the final part of this thesis compares Travel Service with selected airlines. This thesis uses descriptive method especially in its theoretical part, analysis and comparison method in the practical part.

Wiederauffindung von Objektbereichen vorgeprüfter Gepäckstücke für eine weitere Inspektion: Positionswiederfindung mit Momenten

Zur schnellen und sicheren Gepäckabfertigung ist eine Automatisierung der Gepäckprüfung zweckmäßig. Es wird eine mehrstufige Prüfung des Gepäcks durchgeführt. In der ersten Stufe werden vom Gepäckstück mehrere Röntgendurchstrahlungbilder angefertigt. Bei einem Teil der Gepäckstücke wird ein kritischer Bereich festgestellt, welcher mit einer zweiten Maschine genauer untersucht werden muss. Aus diesem Grund muss durch die zweite Maschine anhand nur eines weiteren Röntgendurchstrahlungsbildes erkannt werden, wo sich der kritische Bereich nach dem Transport durch das Förderband befindet. Zur Lösung dieses als Positionswiederfindung bezeichneten Problems wurde ein Verfahren entwickelt, welches auf einer Beziehung zwischen den Momenten der Grauwertverteilung des Durchstrahlungsbildes und den Momenten der Schwächungskoeffizentenverteilung des Objektes beruht. Das Verfahren wurde anhand von simulierten Beispielen getestet. / Automatic explosive detection is advantageous for fast and secure baggage control. The baggage is controlled by a multi level system. In level 1 the baggage will be inspected by a multi view x-ray radiography machine. The machine divides the baggage into secure and rejected bags and finds in the rejected bags a critical region for further inspection by a level 2 machine. For this reason the level 2 machine has to identify by only one additional x-ray view the new position of the critical region of the bag after the transport to the level 2 machine. To solve this problem a method was developed, which uses a relation between the moments of the grey-value of x-ray scan and the moments of the x-ray attenuation coefficient of the inspected object. The method was tested with simulated scans.

This study had the standpoint in the terms that refers to ground handlers on a Swedish airport. The risks involved in loading and unloading the goods. The issue grew as the knowledge increased about the Human, Technology and Organisation (HTO). The part of the background content elements and concepts touching stress, concept of safety, safety at the airports. The aim of this study was to describe if the safety, risks eventually influences ground handlers by stress linked to loading and unloading of aircrafts. To picture the association between them, HTO and demand-control-support perspective where used. The study didn´t cover goals of interventions. The study design in use where the descriptive case study. Methods in use where individual interviewing, focus group interviewing, participant observation with so called full involvement on the ramp. Selection of participant where based on staff on duty. Member of the leadership did de selection guided by the scheduled interviews. The study comprehended the importance of working schedule, organisation issues, deliberately assumption of risk and a high risk of accident. Support from nearest and highest leadership was high. There were indications about the importance of social support and sense of security in the team. Most concerned newly employed. The importance of the type of aircraft, problems connected with narrow bodied aircrafts. Keep on the work to change this type of aircraft, above all else on nightly goods aircrafts will radically improve the ergonomics and safety. Next scientific work suggested to look at the connection between the equipment used by load, unloading and stress. When the type of aircrafts has been changed look at the impact on stress, risks and safety. Also suggested scientific work to look at the organisation of work in and between the team. How the organisation works out practically on the ramp, between ground handlers and custom service and between ground handlers and the leadership. Next scientific work could also look closer to the hypothetical causal model described in this work. Aimed to enhance and develop the systematic work environment management (SAM).

Rekonstrukce letiště Brno - Tuřany / Refurbishment of the Brno - Tuřany Airport

This diploma thesis describes the reconstruction of the operation parts in the international airport in Brno and proposal of a new arrivals hall. The diploma thesis also shows the specific management of the airport, connection with the existing concourse and design of an appropriate concept of addition of new buildings with currently missing services. The reconstruction deals with the insufficient capacity of the arrivals hall and current bad technical conditions and its inconvenient capacity of arrivals and departures. In this concept, the airport capacity is doubled, up to 2 000 000 passengers per year. This concept, based on axial and mutual synergy of building parts, contains a design of two objects, the central part with public services (clearance, waiting hall, restaurant, control tower, areas for rent, arrivals and departures support), and arrivals hall (inspection, luggage clearance hall). The diploma project is developed in the range of a study. It is based on a previous urban study of the airport in connection to following-up the development of neighboring towns and surrounding area.
