The main objective of this diploma thesis is the implementation of a pilot solution of Business intelligence in the laboratory company. This company is providing tests of samples of blood and urine. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part contains theory. It describes the usage and components of the Business intelligence. Additionaly it describes the method Balanced scorecard and its usage in laboratory companies. The second part contains practical solution. At first there is a description of the company where is the solution implemented. In the next step the goals and metrics are determined on basis of the application of the method Balanced scorecard. The strategic map is created based on company goals. The last chapter contains a description of the implementation of the pilot solution and the description of created reports.

The concept of the Balanced Scorecard taking a part in the strategic management of a company, is a main focus of this thesis. There are the theoretical and methodological parts of the Balanced Scorecard characterized individually, as well as the development and the history of this concept. This thesis is dealing with a draft of the practical implementation of the mentioned methods. The practical part of the thesis is following the theoretical introduction where the practical part is focused on a practical application of the Balanced Scorecard method for a specific company. The company is specified by the Corporate Performance and Business Model Canvas by using the PESTEL Analysis, Porter's Five Forces Model and Financial SWOT Analysis. The company strategy is specified based on the previous conclusions. The set strategy is an underlies for a follow-up Balanced Scorecard, where causal links between the intended targets and the strategy are displayed in the Strategic Map. The implementation of the strategy to the everyday use of the company is a part of the thesis, as well.

This thesis is about Balanced Scorecard methodology and about information systems that support Balanced Scorecard in business. The main goals for the thesis are creating a design of Balanced Scorecard for an existing company and then design a BSC information system for this company. Business strategy management is introduced in the beginning of the theoretical part of this thesis. The description of each perspective of Balanced Scorecard follows. There is also a focus on BSC and strategy modifications over the time and one chapter is devoted to metrics, different types of metrics and relationships between them. Application part introduces the company used in the thesis. Based on the knowledge from the theoretical part the Balanced Scorecard is designed for this specific company and then an information system design is created.

No cenário atual, a gestão estratégia passa a ser uma forma de monitorar fatores internos e externos das empresas, considerando o ambiente em que estão inseridas, identificando oportunidades de mercado e novas formas de agregar vantagem competitiva. No entanto, para verificar os efetivos resultados dessa proposta de gestão, desenvolvemos este trabalho com o objetivo de entender como realizar a gestão estratégica em empresas de pequeno porte. O estudo de caso realizado tem foco no setor da construção civil de habitação de interesse social, que apresentou grande índice de crescimento na última década, devido a mudança da política habitacional federal que ampliou o volume de verbas disponibilizadas para incentivo a habitação popular no país. Esta realidade propiciou o aumento da demanda e, conseqüentemente, da concorrência. Assim, através da pesquisa realizada, que efetivou o acompanhamento da implantação e do desenvolvimento do planejamento estratégico embasado no mapeamento por indicadores proposto pelo Balanced Scorecard, obteve-se um modelo de mapeamento estratégico que possibilita a antecipação de ameaças e oportunidades, permite olhar o futuro e, com isso, elaborar estratégias que oportunizem a adaptação organizacional ao mundo em mutação.

Introdução: O Núcleo de Ensaios Clínicos da Bahia conta com estrutura física implantada, potenciais pesquisadores em diversas especialidades e equipe capacitada para execução de protocolos de pesquisa. Apesar disso, possui reduzido número de projetos em andamento e consequentemente, sub-utilização da capacidade instalada. Objetivo: Diagnosticar a situação atual da pesquisa clínica no Hospital Universitário Professor Edgard Santos, identificar os fatores que viabilizam o efetivo desenvolvimento das atividades de pesquisa e elaborar um plano de gestão para reestruturação do Núcleo. Métodos: Estudo observacional e descritivo realizado no Hospital Universitário Professor Edgard santos, em três fases: revisão documental; observação direta da estrutura física e situação de recursos humanos e, entrevista com pesquisadores líderes de grupos de pesquisa clínica do hospital. Resultados: Foram identificados documentos relativos aos Procedimentos Operacionais Padrão das atividades de pesquisa, documento normativo da pesquisa clínica e fluxogramas de processos prioritários. Foram registradas no hospital 109 pesquisas clínicas em 2016 e 90, em 2017 Foram executados 16 protocolos de pesquisa clínica no Núcleo de Ensaios Clínicos em 2017, grande parte do grupo da Hepatologia e com patrocínio da indústria farmacêutica. Estruturalmente o Núcleo está dividido em área administrativa e clínica compartilhada com serviços assistenciais e conta com equipe composta por 8 profissionais. Foram identificados 14 pesquisadores líderes de grupo de pesquisa clínica no hospital e entrevistados 9 desses pesquisadores. A partir das entrevistas, foi elaborada a Matriz SWOT e construído o Mapa Estratégico do Núcleo de Ensaios Clínicos da Bahia, baseado no Balanced Scorecard, com 12 objetivos estratégicos, acompanhados de um Plano de Ação com 12 metas e 35 iniciativas para alcance dos objetivos traçados.Conclusão: O desenvolvimento do planejamento estratégico do Núcleo, pelo mapeamento da pesquisa na instituição poderá auxiliar a alavancar a execução de protocolos clínicos no hospital, permitindo o acesso de pacientes às novas tecnologias não disponíveis no mercado. / Introduction: The Center for Clinical Trials in Bahia has an implanted physical structure, potential researchers in several specialties and a team capable of carrying out research protocols. Despite this, it has a small number of projects in progress and, consequently, underutilization of installed capacity. Objective: To diagnose the current situation of clinical research at the University Hospital Professor Edgard Santos, to identify the factors that make feasible the effective development of research activities and to elaborate a management plan for the restructuring of the Nucleus. Methods: Observational and descriptive study conducted at the University Hospital Professor Edgard santos, in three phases: documentary review; direct observation of the physical structure and human resources situation, and interview with leading researchers from the hospital's clinical research groups. Results: Documents related to the Standard Operational Procedures of the research activities, normative document of clinical research and priority process flowcharts were identified. A total of 109 clinical trials were registered in the hospital in 2016 and 90 in 2017 Sixteen clinical research protocols were performed in the Clinical Trials Nucleus in 2017, a large part of the Hepatology group and sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry. Structurally the Nucleus is divided into administrative and clinical area shared with care services and has a team composed of 8 professionals. We identified 14 leading researchers from the clinical research group at the hospital and interviewed 9 of these researchers. Based on the interviews, the SWOT Matrix was elaborated and the Strategic Map of the Clinical Trials Nucleus of Bahia, based on the Balanced Scorecard, was constructed, with 12 strategic objectives, accompanied by an Action Plan with 12 goals and 35 initiatives to reach the objectives outlined . Conclusion: The development of the Center's strategic planning, by mapping the research in the institution, can help to leverage the execution of clinical protocols in the hospital, allowing patients access to new technologies not available in the market.

The diploma thesis is focused on measuring performance in social services, specifically in contributory organizations. The theoretical part deals with the definition and history of performance measurement as such, the description of the legal form of the contributory organization. Furthermore, the author deals with the definition of indicators, the description of their qualities in terms of the theory of performance measurement and models of performance measurement. In the practical part of the work, the author focuses on measuring performance in the field of care service and focuses on three possible and used indicators in the care service, namely the number of minutes / hours of direct work, the number of working hours and the number of clients. It analyzes these indicators in terms of the demands of performance measurement theory, describing the pitfalls associated with them in measuring performance in the care service and suggesting possible solutions. The master thesis is focused on efficiency evaluation of company IN-EKO TEAM, s. r. o. The theoretical part contains the relevant information from professional publications, basic concepts are explained here and models supporting business management, business process modeling models, and models emphasizing self-evaluation are presented. The second part is an efficiency evaluation by using the selected START Plus model. The key part is the suggestion part in which measures will be proposed to improve the efficiency of examined subject.

The diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of Gastro, s. r. o. through the Balanced Scorecard method. The aim is to derive strategic goals from the financial and strategic analysis, create a list of benchmarks and performance indicators within the four BSC perspectives that will lead to improvement in meeting the company's strategic objectives and subsequently improving its performance.
