Previous issue date: 2017-03-28 / This work aimed to investigate the contributions to the integral development of the human being that the teaching of music in the school provides.
We seek in the first chapter to conceptualize the meaning of music and its characteristics as an artistic language. We emphasize the importance of music education in the different levels of Basic Education including its contributions in the three levels: Infant Education, Elementary Education and Secondary Education.
In the second chapter we recorded through a brief history the teaching of music in Brazil highlighting the current legislation and the relevant facts that promoted and affirmed this teaching, among them Law 11.769 / 2008 and the movements and actions that contributed to its elaboration and promulgation. We have also commented on some facts that make law enforcement unfeasible, such as the lack of infrastructure of the schools and the lack of preparation of the majority of managers and teachers for this teaching. The new Law 13,278 / 16 changes the article of LDB 9394/96 that deals with music as a compulsory curricular component within the discipline of Art and adds the teaching of the other languages that compose it: visual arts, dance and theater. We also deal here with the National Directives for the Operationalization of Music Teaching and their indications for school praxis.
In order to go further than just complying with a law, in the third chapter, we discuss the contributions that the teaching of music promotes in the integral development of the human being influencing the development of neurons and other cognitive, emotional, sensorial, intellectual, etc. actions. , Essential for the acquisition of learning.
In the fourth chapter we report some successful experiences of teaching music in school through two educational proposals: Waldorf Schools and the Education Secretariat of Mogi das Cruzes. We have also brought some observations from experiences in my school practice.
In the end, we make our considerations on the proposed subject, understanding that it is not exhausted here, but it convinces us that the teaching of music in school contributes greatly to the learning of everyone, both children and young people and adults, and it becomes an excellent Instrument for professionals working in this area. / Este estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar las contribuciones al desarrollo integral del ser humano que la educación musical en la escuela ofrece.
Buscamos el primer capítulo conceptualizar el significado de la música y sus características como un lenguaje artístico. Previous issue date: 2017-04-04 / The present paper aims to study the current Science Curriculum of São Paulo Education Department (SEESP). It was implemented in 2008 with the purpose to unify the school programmers taught and improve the quality of education of state public schools. The curriculum was developed by a group of experts chosen by SEE without teachers’ participation. In this regard, the goal of the survey is to figure out how teachers comprehend the official curriculum and how this comprehension has been impacting their work. In order to reach the goal, the survey was organized in two different moments. The first one has a bibliographical process, in which part of the literature about approaches and conceptions of the Science Curriculum over the past few years was mapped. During this process, national and state Science curricular purposes produced from the 1990s were analyzed. We see Science teachers’ statements as an important instrument therefore, for the second moment, they were interviewed about their experience, perception, and comprehension about the curriculum and how it has impacted their teaching practice. The interviews were analyzed through articulation between qualitative research and content analysis methodology. The results achieved indicate that the official curriculum of the State of São Paulo ignores the peculiarities of different school contexts and it doesn’t provide appropriate teaching resources and infrastructure. Moreover, the state official curriculum conception turns teachers into mere repeaters of a curriculum built without the participation of those directly involved in teaching process.

Social and cultural relevance of aspects of Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS), meteorological literacy and meteorological science conceptionsRiffel, Alvin Daniel January 2020 (has links)
Philosophiae Doctor - PhD / This research study examines those aspects of Indigenous Knowledge (IK) that could be socially and culturally relevant in the Western Cape Province, South Africa, for teaching meteorological science concepts in a grade 9 Social Science (Geography) classroom using dialogical argumentation as an instructional model (DAIM). The literature reviewed in this study explains the use of argumentation as an instructional method of classroom teaching in particular dialogical argumentation, combined with IKS (Indigenous Knowledge Systems), which in this study is seen as a powerful tool both in enhancing learners’ views and positively identifying indigenous knowledge systems within their own cultures and communities, and as tool that facilitates the learning of (meteorological) literacy and science concepts. With the development of the New Curriculum Statements (NCS) and the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) for schools, the Department of Basic Education (DBE) of South Africa acknowledges a strong drive towards recognising and affirming the critical role of IK, especially with respect to science and technology education. The policy suggests that the Department of Education take steps to begin the phased integration of IK into curricula and relevant accreditation frameworks.
Using a quasi-experimental research design model, the study employed both quantitative and qualitative methods (mixed-methods) to collect data in two public secondary schools in Cape Town, in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. A survey questionnaire on attitudes towards, and perceptions of high school, of a group of grade 9 learners, as well as their conceptions of weather, was administered before the main study to give the researcher baseline information and to develop pilot instruments to use in the main study. An experimental group (E-group) of learners were exposed to an intervention - the results were recorded against a control group (C-group) that were exposed to no intervention. Both the E-group and C-group were exposed to a Meteorological Literacy Test (MLT) evaluation before and after the DAIM intervention. The results from the two groups were then compared and analysed according to the two theoretical frameworks underpinning the study, namely, Toulmin’s Argumentation Pattern - TAP (Toulmin, 1958) and Contiguity Argumentation Theory - CAT (Ogunniyi, 1997).
The findings of this study revealed that: Firstly, the socio-cultural background of learners has an influence on their conceptions of weather prediction and there was a significant difference between boy’s and girls’ pre-test conceptions about the existence of indigenous knowledge systems within the community they live in. For instance, from the learners’ excerpts, it emerged that the girls presented predominantly rural experiences as opposed to those of the boys which were predominantly from urban settings. Secondly, those E-group learners exposed to the DAIM intervention shifted from being predominantly equipollent to the school science to emergent stances and they found a way of connecting their IK to the school science. The DAIM model which allowed argumentation to occur amongst learners seemed to have enhanced their understanding of the relevance of IK and how its underlying scientific claims relate to that of school science. Thirdly, the argumentation-based instructional model was found to be effective to a certain extent in equipping the in-service teachers with the necessary argumentation skills that could enable them to take part in a meaningful discourse.
The study drew on the personal experiences and encounters from a variety of sources. These included storytelling-and sharing, academic talks with local community members recorded during the research journey, formal round table discussion and talks at international and local conferences, conference presentations, informal interviews, indigenous chats at social event-meetings, and shared experiences at IKS training workshops as a facilitator. These encounters lead to the formulation of the research study and occurred throughout the country in various parts of the Southern African continent including: Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana, Tanzania and Mozambique.

Základy fungování počítačů - didaktické materiály pro 1. stupeň ZŠ / Basics of computer operation - didactic materials for elementary schoolDrobná, Anna January 2021 (has links)
The revision of the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education in the Czech Republic from 2021 introduces a new educational area called Informatics. The area has a completely different content than the former Information and Communication Technology area. It is necessary for teachers to have a sufficient number of high-quality didactic materials to choose from for teaching this new educational area. The first goal of this diploma thesis is to review teaching materials of informatics for Grade 1 to 5 of primary schools available in Czech language, and thus make it easier for teachers to find their way around them. During conducting the review, a lack of materials for teaching the principles of digital devices and basics of the principles of the Internet was noticed. The second goal is therefore to create new didactic materials for those topics. The didactic materials were created in cooperation with the Laboratory of Advanced Multimedia Education of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University and the children's channel of Czech Television ČT: D and are gradually published on this channel's website. Curriculum implementation: a case study of Mbetana Public Adult Learning Centre in Limpopo ProvinceMaponya, Lebeko Valley January 2017 (has links)
Thesis (M.Ed. (Adult Education)) -- University of Limpopo, 2017 / This study highlights the importance of effective curriculum implementation at
a Public Adult Learning Centre in a rural community in Limpopo Province.
The purpose of the study was to explore the curriculum implementation
facing Mbetana Public Adult Learning Centre (MPALC) with the view to
recommend appropriate strategies to improve the centre’s curriculum
implementation capabilities.
Since the study was premised on the interpretivist paradigm, a qualitative
research approach was employed to give a detailed account of the
curriculum implementation challenges from the perspective of people with
lived experiences of MPALC’s curriculum implementation dynamics. The
participants which include six learners, the Centre Manager and two
facilitators, were chosen using the purposive sampling method. Purposive
sampling was preferred because it gave the researcher an opportunity to
target participants deemed to possess authentic accounts of MPALC’s
curriculum implementation dynamics. Multiple data sources inclusive of silent
observations, semi-structured interviews and document analysis were used
to gather data. The study found out that the acute shortage of textbooks and
stationery, absence of fit-for purpose learning infrastructure, low employee
morale due to poor working conditions, inappropriate teaching methods, and
the insensitive use of the English language regardless of the learners being
predominantly Tsonga speaking people are some of the challenges that
hampered the effective implementation of the curriculum guidelines at
MPALC. The study recommends that the Department of Higher Education
and Training (DHET) should partner with private companies through the
public-private partnership frameworks with the view to improve the MPALC’s
operating and financial leverage
