Logistické procesy a jejich optimalizace / Logistic process optimization

Machová, Marie January 2008 (has links)
Managing the process of a product's development prior to its release is the dominant theme of this graduation thesis. In today's modern turbulent world, businesses compete to be a strong force in the market arena. From start to finish it is necessary to keep the consumer's demands and wants as the driving force when managing the operation. Factors that are critical in the implementation of the operation are working with a manageable portfolio, forecasting unforeseen expenses, profit gains and losses. Purchasing the most recent and efficient software program or electronics to assist in the operation could be more effective but more expensive upfront. On the other hand, purchasing a complex program or electronics will be ineffective if the user is unable to comprehend its complete functions or abilities. Proper and thorough analysis is necessary in foreseeing all possible obstacles to a smooth operation. Presently, it is not uncommon for companies to implement new technology without previous analysis. The result is a rapidly growing demand for a product reliant on this technology to help produce or support it. As a result, they find themselves in a tight spot very soon. Resolving the issue consists of additional and extended analyses of changes and in the reimplementation of the technology, a process that can be slow and tap into an already tight budget. In conclusion, this dissertation surmises that documentation of and organized implementation of processes in a real manufacturing corporation is necessary to improve not only the quality of processes in support of reaching economic targets but also in assuring quality labour performances of all employees.

Procesní model obchodní společnosti

Vyleťal, Petr January 2006 (has links)
Process management is frequently used term these days. The aim of this diploma thesis is to explain, what „process“ actually means, what has been the historical evolution, what are its alternatives, but mainly what are the benefits for the company. Even though the title of this thesis is „Process model of trading company“, its content goes further than that. Creation of company’s process model is only one part, even though important, of the process- based management of the company (Business Process Management, BPM). Moreover, the methods and procedures described in this thesis can be used almost in any company, not only in the trading one. The main contribution of this thesis is in its broad view of process management. This thesis deals with some topics, which at the first sight don’t even relate to BPM (ISO standards or Change Management). Nevertheless, after closer examination the link becomes obvious. Most of the methods described in the theoretical part of this document are later used in its practical part for the BPM implementation proposal in the concrete company. The read is thus given an option to immediately confront theory with reality and visualize sometimes very general theoretical procedures. This document is structured in 5 chapters. The first chapter introduces a reader to this thesis topic, reasons for its selection and the aims, benefits and limitations. The second chapter shows the meaning of process management in the broader context of related concepts. The aim of the third chapter is to show practical use of process management. The fourth chapter is dedicated to implementation proposal of BPM in specific company. First, the company is described and its main aspects analyzed, which enables to present the company strategy. Then, the most important company processes are modeled and described, together with their evaluation and optimization proposal. The benefits and advantages of BPM are outlined in the closing chapter.

Konsolidace procesního řízení v prostředí příspěvkových organizací / Consolidation of the business process management in the area of semi-budgetary organizations

Ježek, Svatopluk January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is aimed on the business process management of semi-budgetary organizations in the Czech Republic. For description of the field of business process management, the work lists common definitions and important information that is linked to this area. Subsequently, there was described the specificity of public administration in the Czech Republic, taking into account the level of and ability to implement business process management in this area. The important part of this thesis is the analysis of assumptions, which should public organizations fulfill in order to implement business process management. Thesis focuses on business process modeling, both in terms of methodology and standards used, and from the perspective of adequate tools for creating business process models. The main focus of the work is on the consolidation of the business process models of semi-budgetary organizations simultaneous checked on a case study. Case study, which is part of the practical part of this thesis, is a modified description of the implemented project, which aimed to merge two semi-budgetary organizations, especially from the perspective of the consolidation process management and process models.

Formal verification of business process configuration in the Cloud / Vérification formelle de la configuration des processus métiers dans le Cloud

Boubaker, Souha 14 May 2018 (has links)
They need to be configured according to an organization needs by selecting design options. As the configurable process models may be large and complex, their configuration with no assistance is undoubtedly a difficult, time-consuming and error-prone task. Moreover, organizations are increasingly adopting cloud environments for deploying and executing their processes to benefit from dynamically scalable resources on demand. Nevertheless, due to the lack of an explicit and formal description of the resource perspective in the existing business processes, the correctness of Cloud resources management cannot be verified. In this thesis, we target to (i) provide guidance and assistance to the analysts in process model configuration with correct options, and to (ii) improve the support of Cloud resource specification and verification in business processes. To do so, we propose a formal approach for assisting the configuration step-by-step with respect to structural and business domain constraints. We thereafter propose a behavioral approach for configuration verification while reducing the well-known state space explosion problem. This work allows to extract configuration choices that satisfy the deadlock-freeness property at one time. Finally, we propose a formal specification for Cloud resource allocation behavior in business process models. This specification is used to formally validate and check the consistency of the Cloud resource allocation in process models according to user requirements and resource capabilities

Dolování procesů jako služba / Process Mining as a Service

Dobias, Ondrej January 2017 (has links)
Softwérové a hardvérové aplikácie zaznamenávajú veľké množstvo informácií do protokolov udalostí.

Využití procesního řízení v chemické laboratoři / The Utilization of Process Management in Chemistry Laboratory

Franek, Jiří January 2008 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with application of business process management principles to the order processing in chemical laboratory. In the first section of the work is accounted history and evolution of business process management and launching methodology as well. In further section was analyzed wider neighborhood of the company. It was necessary to find appropriate processes suitable for the optimization. Primary activities were identified using newly modeled value added chain diagram. Primary activities were decomposed to the key processes. These processes were described using event-driven process chain diagrams. Strategic goals were determined by internal and external organization aspects. The influence of the strategic goals on the key processes was evaluated to find a process attributes which can be improved using business process management. The goal of this work was to propose possible solution for the controlling and communication infrastructure allowing operational control over nondeterministic flow of orders and further reporting. The result of this work is new structure of key processes concerning orders and their passing the organization.

Linear dynamic logic on finite traces in business process management : a compositional approach

Hedqvist, Mathias January 2022 (has links)
One way of modeling workflows in business process management (BPM) is by using a declarative approach, that is, instead of imperatively specifying what needs to be done, and in what order, one can specify constraints on what is allowed. The result is a more flexible model as everything that does not violate the specified constraints is allowed. In recent years, Linear Temporal Logic on finite traces (LTLf) has been one of the available logics used to specify such constraints. However, LTLf lacks the ability to monitor metaconstraints (i.e., constraints overconstraints). To handle this, one can use Linear Dynamic Logic on finite traces (LDLf) instead. In their paper Monitoring Constraints and Metaconstraints withTemporal Logics on Finite Traces, De Giacomo et al. (2020) presented a framework, and a formal way of translating LDLf formula to an executable Deterministic Finite Automaton (DFA), to be used in BPM. The algorithm they used for the translation was LDLf2NFA. This paper investigates if the construction time, and the size, of the DFA can be reduced by using a compositional algorithm, CLDLf, instead. The results show that the time can be reduced for larger formulae, that is, formulae with a length above 20. However, as both algorithms produce a minimal DFA as the end product, no reduction in size (i.e., the number of states) could be made.

IMPERATIVE MODELS TO DECLARATIVE CONSTRAINTS : Generating Control-Flow Constraints from Business Process Models

Bergman Thörn, Arvid January 2023 (has links)
In complex information systems, it is often crucial to evaluate whether a sequence of activities obtained from a system log complies with behavioural rules. This process of evaluation is called conformance checking, and the most classical approach to specifying the behavioural rules is in the form of flow chartlike process diagrams, e.g., in the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) language. Traditionally, control flow constraints are extracted using Petri net replay-based approaches. Though, with the use of industrial process query languages such as Signavio Analytics Language (SIGNAL) that allows for temporal row matching, the possibility of performing conformance checking using temporal constraints opens up. To this end, this thesis presents a parser for extracting control-flow objects from BPMN-based business process models and a compiler for generating both linear temporal logic-like rules as well as SIGNAL queries. The parser succeeds at parsing all industry models and most academic models; the exceptions in the latter case can presumably be traced back to edge cases and unidiomatic modelling. The constraints generated by the compiler are in some, but not in all cases, identical to constraints extracted via Petri net replay as an intermediate step, indicating some differences in the formal interpretation of BPMN control flow. In conclusion, the implementation and evaluation of the parser and compiler indicate that it is feasible to move directly from business user-oriented process models to declarative, query language-based constraints, cutting out the Petri net-replay middleman and hence facilitating elegant and more efficient process data querying.

Information visualization as an interactive business intelligence tool for improved management and self-assessment of financial brokers in private banking

Tasola Kullander, Petter January 2019 (has links)
With an increase in storage capacity, many organizations strive to collect as much data as possible. The data can then be aggregated and visualized in order to provide a strategic advantage, commonly referred to as Business Intelligence (BI). Several sectors are contemporarily unfamiliar with the full potential of BI visualizations, among them the financial sector. In this report, an experimental design-oriented research study, set out to explore the affordances and challenges with designing an information visualization to improve both management and self-assessment of financial brokers in private banking at a large-scale bank.To explore this area, a prototype was iteratively developed based on information gathered from interviews and evaluations on two private banking managers and a panel of UX professionals at the bank. The final prototype was then evaluated by the two managers and five of their financial brokers through a combination of a task analysis and semi-structured interviews. The results concluded that the proposed visualization improved several aspects for financial management including business overview and workload balancing. However, the proposed tool was not deemed useful in self-assessment terms as financial brokers’ performance is so largely dependent on the current market state.
