1	Kühnův dětský sbor / Kühn Children's Choir (Prague philharmonic children's choir) Scheinostová, Zuzana January 2012 (has links) The theoretical part of this MA thesis outlines the history of the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir, its cooperation with Prague's leading stages, with outstanding Czech and international musical ensembles and conductors, as well as important concerts and appearances at prestigious festivals. It introduces the personalities who have held the position of choirmaster, and it surveys the choir's repertoire and discography. A short chapter is dedicated to the present situation of the choir and its present artistic guidance. The practical part comprises interviews with personalities who are, in various ways, linked with the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir. A separate chapter is dedicated to a questionnaire which was given to members of the concert section of the choir and which covers the reasons and motivation for entering the choir and remaining there, the musical background in families etc.
2	Pražský Hlahol / Prague Hlahol Choir Dandová, Lenka January 2015 (has links) The introductory chapter of this Thesis describes the development of choir music in Bohemia, starting with unison singing, through polyphonic singing, proceeding to forming of literary societies, and, finally, the form of choir singing as we know it today. In the theoretical part, we use the most important historic and social moments of the Prague Hlahol Choir to illustrate almost 155 years of its existence. The following chapter reflects the most significant concerts, introduces the choir's repertoire and how it changed through times, mentions premieres of choir masterpieces, cooperation with other significant choirs and prominent musicians. In the practical part, we reprint the interviews with long-time choir members and personal experience of some of the artists who have cooperated with the Prague Hlahol Choir. To complete this Thesis, we used anniversary almanacs, annual reports, historic documents and photographs, etc. We also included personal views of the choir members, choir leaders and the prominent musicians who have cooperated with the choir. Based on the assembled data, we can evaluate the progress the choir has made, the changes it has undergone and also the impact it has made from the day it was established. Ces ouvrages constituent le corpus principal de cette thèse dont l’objectif est d’en interroger le contenu au regard de l’histoire de l’Ordre cistercien, mais aussi de l’évolution du chant ecclésiastique. La périodisation est définie en fonction des bornes suivantes : le terminus a quo (1521) correspond à la première impression d’un livre de choeur cistercien et son terminus ad quem (1903) est celui de la publication du dernier ouvrage de ce format au sein de cet Ordre spécifique. 4	Pěvecké sbory města Jihlavy / Choirs in Jihlava city SEDLÁKOVÁ, Jana January 2008 (has links) The thesis deals with problems of choirs in Jihlava city. There are two parts. The first one encompass history of choral singing and music in Jihlava including master singing, Jihlava´s music after 30-year war and the history of the city itself. The second part contains music festivals such as MAHLER JIHLAVA, The Choir Festival and the present-date choirs which organize performances for the public. This part reveals questions given to Jihlava´s choirmasters, concerning their choirs and festivals, particularly The Choir Festival which is the one of the most prestige national festival and which mingles with the present-day choirs in part. The main aim of the thesis is to find out the influence of The Choir Festival on the choral life in Jihlava.
