Four clinical type interviews were realized with woman of different ages that appealed to the stomach reduction surgery. The occasion of a body worry carries on as an inductor stimulus of a narrative by the subject of his suffering. It concerns the restitution by the interviewer of the reality of research , which the register of interviews stays conditioned to the own disposing and, rigorously talking, the analysis is from the research situation while research strategy. It means that the interpretation of the relate of the interview in clinic, only can be validated in a inter subjective context (Stein, 1988). In this way, through the realized interviews, can say that the surgery shows itself as a trial of changing his own identity. Although, we must have a caution of saying that it concerns much more of an open via, to the subject, of change in his life, that can or cannot concretize. It doesn t mean recover the health, a situation of prior things, as in the case of the illness, but to provoke a true incision in his anterior history. / O presente trabalho teve um caráter exploratório e buscou estudar a expressão das subjetividades de pessoas obesas que recorreram à cirurgia de redução do estômago. Realizaram-se quatro entrevistas do tipo clínico com mulheres de diferentes idades que recorreram à cirurgia de redução do estômago. A ocasião de uma preocupação corporal funciona como um estímulo indutor de uma narrativa pelo sujeito de seu sofrimento. Tratase da restituição pelo entrevistador da realidade de pesquisa , em que o registro das entrevistas fica condicionado ao próprio dispositivo e, rigorosamente falando, a análise é da situação de pesquisa, é análise do próprio dispositivo enquanto estratégia de pesquisa. O que significa dizer que a interpretação do relato da entrevista em clínica somente pode ser validada dentro de um contexto intersubjetivo (Stein, 1988). Dessa forma, a partir das entrevistas realizadas, pode-se dizer que a cirurgia se mostra como uma tentativa de mudança, de mudar a sua própria identidade. Contudo, devemos ter a cautela de dizer que se trata muito mais de uma via aberta, para o sujeito, de uma mudança em sua vida, que pode ou não se concretizar. Não se trata de restituir a saúde, um estado de coisas anterior, como no caso da doença, mas de provocar um verdadeiro corte em sua história anterior.

The main axis of the interview was on obesity, but for Ruth at the core of his story was his relationship with mother which forms the scene of psychopathology. To this end we attempted to rescue the function of the term pathic obesity through clinical perspective taking in consideration the fundamental psychopathology and psychoanalysis, in which he tried to rescue the passion, suffering and passivity of the subject. The research has been the clinical trial, which inspired Freud's method, which sought to understand the subjective demand of the interviewee. This suffering remains in adulthood, as Ruth identifies with her mother to become a woman, and then the body reappears as a stage of pain, and "obesity" appears to be a way to mirror the mother's body, which is not felt as responding to the demand of love. The human experience of Ruth is impregnated on a lack of love, neglect and causing suffering which refers to the desire of being the daughter, loved and cared for by the mother. For to be a woman must have been her daughter, had a reference, because you can not be it, who does not know what it is, or who never had. The lack of reference of love and femininity appear to be characterized in the body, we can think of "female barred" and the difficulty in doing woman (Campos, 2000). / O presente trabalho buscou compreender a constituição da subjetividade e do sofrimento psíquico associado à obesidade. O eixo principal da entrevista foi sobre a obesidade, mas para Ruth o eixo central da sua história foi a sua relação com mãe que se inscreve na cena psicopatológica. Nesse sentido tentou-se resgatar a função pathica do termo obesidade, através da perspectiva clínica tendo como referencial a psicanálise e a psicopatologia fundamental, em que se tentou resgatar a paixão, a passividade e o sofrimento do sujeito. A pesquisa foi do tipo clínico, que inspirada no método de Freud, no qual se buscou compreender a demanda subjetiva da entrevistada. Esse sofrimento permanece na fase adulta, pois Ruth identifica-se com a mãe para se tornar mulher, e então o corpo reaparece como palco da dor, e a obesidade parece ser uma forma de fazer espelho do corpo materno, que não é sentido como respondendo à demanda de amor. A experiência humana de Ruth é fecundada em torno da falta de amor, falta de cuidado que gera sofrimento e que remete ao desejo de ter sido filha, amada e cuidada por essa mãe. Pois, para ser mulher é necessário ter sido filha, ter tido uma referência, pois não se pode ser aquilo, que não sabe o que é, ou que nunca se teve. A falta de referência de amor e de feminilidade parecem marcadas no corpo; pode-se pensar no feminino barrado e na dificuldade em se fazer mulher (Campos, 2000).
