Elas podem também descrever claramente os percalços evolutivos da sociedade humana em todos os setores, principalmente na ciência, refletindo paradigmas ou vaticinando novos conceitos, além de servirem como divulgadoras dos ideários autorais. O Koan é uma técnica oriental utilizada pelos zen-budistas, que tem paralelo com a física Quântica, a qual emprega como metáfora para exemplificar suas teorias e novas descobertas, aproximando os questionamentos da ciência ocidental aos conceitos paradoxais da filosofia oriental, como se pode ver no livro o Tao da Física do cientista Fritjof Capra. Este trabalho se propõe a apontar as HQs autorias destinadas ao público adulto que contenham o Koan em suas estruturas narrativas, indicando uma possível importância implicada tanto nestes conceitos como na propagação dos mesmos pelas HQs, para a evolução científico-social dos seres humanos. / Abstract: Comics, artistic communication vehicles, can be comercial or authoral ones, and also destined to adults readers; although thei are misunderstood until today, they can clearly the evolutive paths of human society, in every sectors, mainly in science, reflecting standards, even predicting new concepts, mainly when comics reflect the ideals of the author. Koan in an oriental techic used by zen budhists, and it has parallel with Quantic Physics, which uses koan as a mataphor to explain its concepts and is new discoveries, nearing occidental science inquiring to paradoxal concepts of the oriental philosophy, as can seen in the book The Tao of Phisics, by Scientist Fritjof Capra. The objective of this study is to show the existence of Koans in those comics, pointing to an implicated importance possible to the sociaal-scientific evolution of the human beings in both of these concepts and their propagation by Comics. / Mestre

Mesmo assim, as histórias em quadrinhos enfrentaram, desde sua invenção, desconfiança e até mesmo reducionismo em detrimento de outras artes. Esta pesquisa visa responder a seguinte pergunta: Por que ensinar histórias em quadrinhos nas escolas? Para tanto, a pesquisa compreende uma breve história da formação do mercado editorial, leitores e profissionais no Brasil, disserta sobre os quadrinhos nas mais diferentes camadas de ensino, propondo o uso da arte seqüencial nas mais diversas matérias do currículo escolar e por fim, o estudo de caso Projeto Mamute, em que além de descrever toda a trajetória deste grupo de alunos, apresento um volume das histórias em quadrinhos que foram realizados no período de 2004 - 2005. / Abstract: Comic books compose a media that mixes different artistic expressions with communication, creating a vessel through which the reader can be a part of the story, creating scenes, sounds, voices using the dialogues on the balloons, or even making new stories with the characters. However, Comics have suffered, since their inception, with suspicion and devalue if compared with other arts. This research concerns itself with the question: Are Comics a good tool to educate? To address that, I developed a research about the history of the editorial Comics, the readers and the professionals in Brazil. I explored the action of Comics in the different layers of teaching, proposing different activities with Comics in the official grade of regular education. Finally, I present the history of Projeto Mamute (Mammoth's Project) in the period of 2003 - 2005, and the comics we produced within the project, during that period. / Mestre

Essa alfabetização, muitas vezes pautada na decifração de sinais gráficos e na oralização, acaba por desenvolver comportamentos alfabéticos, mas não condutas de leitor. Este trabalho apresenta, como objetivo geral, verificar como a formação de alunos leitores ocorre na Educação Infantil em um processo que considera a leitura como compreensão, envolvendo a apropriação dos significados presentes na situação de leitura, em atividades que façam sentido para o aluno, no contexto das histórias em quadrinhos. A pesquisa tem como objetivos específicos: 1) Identificar as atitudes próprias de um leitor como parte do processo de apropriação da leitura por crianças de 5 e 6 anos; 2) Verificar como ocorre o processo de atribuição de sentido na leitura desse gênero discursivo; 3) Verificar como a metodologia adotada pela professora interferiu no processo de apropriação da leitura dos alunos, ao romper com a restrição do uso de histórias em quadrinhos nessa etapa escolar. Essa pesquisa foi fundamentada no arcabouço teórico de Bakhtin em diálogo com a Teoria Histórico-Cultural, com outros estudiosos sobre a leitura e sobre as histórias em quadrinhos. Foi realizado um trabalho pedagógico planejado intencionalmente e organizado num contexto dialógico e interativo, enfocando a leitura de histórias em quadrinhos com uma classe de Pré III de uma escola pública municipal da cidade de Marília- SP, com crianças de cinco e seis anos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa-ação que teve a duração de seis meses, compreendidos entre junho e dezembro de 2007. This literacy often based on deciphering of graphic signs and on oral reading meaningless develops alphabetic behavior, but no reader conducts. This report presents as general goal, verify how the formation of reader students occurs in childhood education, in a process that considers the reading as comprehension, involving the appropriation of meanings in the situation of reading, in activities that make sense for the students, in the context of comics. The research presents as specifics goals: 1) Examine the personal attitudes of a reader as part of the process of reading appropriation for five and sixyear- old children; 2) Verify how the process of attributing sense occurs while reading this genre of discourse; 3) Verify how the methodology adopted by the teacher interfered in the process of reading appropriation of the children, breaking the restriction of the use of comics in this school grade. This research was based on the theoretical framework of Bakhtin in dialogue with the Historical-Cultural Theory, with others researchers on reading and on comics. It was accomplished a pedagogic work intentionally planned and organized in interactive and dialogic context, focusing on the reading of comics with a class of Pré III, of a local public school in the city of Marília - SP, with five and six-year-old children. This is a research-action that had the duration of six months, between June and December 2007. Research-action seeks understanding and interaction between researchers and members of the investigated situation oriented according to the resolution of problems and goals of transformation. Tendo em sua maioria leitores masculinos, o termo HQ (histórias em quadrinhos) por muito tempo esteve vinculado a temas de super-heróis, violência e sexo, temáticas ligadas exclusivamente ao universo masculino. Visão esta intensificada quando analisamos a trajetória das histórias em quadrinho no mundo, pois foram poucos os mercados editoriais que destinaram uma pequena porcentagem de suas publicações ao mercado feminino. O Japão por outro lado, possui um segmento editorial forte, estável e especializado na publicação de histórias em quadrinhos direcionadas tanto ao público feminino juvenil (shôjo mangá) como ao adulto (josei mangá). A grande questão, no entanto, não seria a existência ou a falta de publicações direcionadas ao público feminino, mas sim, o que levaria as mulheres a comprarem histórias em quadrinhos, já que em muitos países, histórias em quadrinhos é sinônimo de homens. As histórias em quadrinhos femininas, portanto, passaram a enfatizar o lado psicológico e emocional dos personagens, aliando ficção e realidade, estratégia que passou cada vez mais a atrair e a cativar o público feminino. Além da reflexão sobre a inserção das histórias em quaderinhos no universo da Arte, esta pesquisa analisa e estuda a contribuição feminina na produção das histórias em quadrinhos japonesas, já que grande parte das características singulares dos mangás vem da contribuição desta pequena parcela de publicações e desenhistas femininas. A pesquisa se encerra com a produção e a apresentação de trabalhos plásticos de minha autoria, que representam uma síntese gráfica e estética de toda a dissertação. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The communication established by the available images, has meant that the stories in comics, achieve rapid acceptance by the public because it brought stories told by pictures. Having mostrly male readers, the term HQ (comics) for a long time been linked to issues of super-heroes, violence and sex, issues related exclusively to the male universe. Intensified this view when analyzing the trajectory of the comics in the world, because few markets tageted editorial that a small percentage of their publications to the women public. Japan on the other hand, has an editorial segment strong, stable and specialized in the publication of stories in comics targeted to noth the public juvenile female (shôjo manga) and the adult (josei manga). The big question, however, is not the existence or lack of publications targeted to the female public, but which lead women to buy comics, as in many stories in comics is synonymous of men. The stories in comic's female, therefore, began to emphasize the psychological and emotional side of character, combining stories and real conflicts, strategy now increasingly to attract and capture the female audience. Besides the discussion on the integration of mangfa in the world of Art, this research analyzes and examines the contribution women in the production of Japanese comics, as most of the unique features in manga, comes from the contribution of this small portion of women's publication. The research concludes with the production and presentation of work from my own plastic, representing a summary graphic and aesthetics of the whole dissertation. Narratives such as Genji Monogatari, female stereotypes, the gothic, the androgyny of Takarazuka Kagekidan and the minimalism of Takaya Miou, are some of the influences of shôjo and josei Manga in this plastic sleeves. / Mestre
