Initially, the specificities of digital technologies will be presented, their implications as to culture and the arts, as well as their relationship with the theory of complexity. Later, the digital technologies will be approached as language (the exclusive digital technologies of the artistic manifestations), as research (the Internet as a theoretical visual databank) and as tools (creation technologies and image productions, social networks and blogs). Through such a framework, perspectives and possible approaches in the teaching of art in formal education are presented, which evidence and propose interactions among art, teaching and technology / A presente pesquisa tece reflexões sobre o que tange às tecnologias digitais, especialmente ao computador e à internet, e ao ensino de arte. São apresentadas, inicialmente, as especificidades das tecnologias digitais, suas implicações na cultura e na arte, bem como aproximações à teoria da complexidade. Posteriormente, as tecnologias digitais são abordadas como linguagem (as manifestações artísticas exclusivas das tecnologias digitais), como pesquisa (a rede como banco de dados teórico visual) e como ferramenta (tecnologias de criação e produção de imagens, redes sociais e blogs). Através deste delineamento apresentam-se perspectivas e possíveis apropriações mediante os processos de ensino e aprendizagem da arte na educação formal, evidenciando e propondo interações entre arte, ensino e tecnologia
